Chapter 54: Chapter 54

Zach POV.

I groaned as the black mask placed over my face was ripped off, the bright light in the room making me wince, while Andrianna cursed beside me, as she struggled around in her bonds. I took in the situation, tested the strength of the binding and when it gave a little, I knew a little work on the knot would get it to loosen in time, that was if I didn't get shot before.

Andrianna and I must have had the same thought as Arielle spilled everything she knew to us because we both rushed off to look for Vega, thinking that Ray was going to go for her. We had been searching everywhere when someone called to say they had her and I had gotten so furious and scared that they were going to hurt her that I didn't think everything through as I followed their instructions to a T.

I glanced around the room, searching for Vega, my heart pumping erratically in my chest. I couldn't bear it if I saw Vega slumped over somewhere, hurt or dead. I inhaled deeply when I noticed that it was only me, Andria, and the woman pointing a gun at my face. If Vega was not here, was she with Ray?

"Where is Vega".

The woman smiled. "Probably back at the party. Ray was being too fucking slow, but I saw an opportunity and I took it".

The knowledge that Vega could be back at the party and that she was safe, made me breathe easier, but Ray was not here, and that meant I couldn't fully relax yet. This was fucked up. Every time I found happiness, there was always something to take it away. Not this time though. Not this fucking time.

"So you're working with Ray" Andrianna breathed out. "Why am I not surprised? Well, this isn't going to end well for you so do yourself a favor and let us go while you still can".

The woman scoffed, then grabbed Andrianna by the chin, her fingers digging into her skin. "You better keep your mouth shut or I'll break your jaw." She threatened, then let go. Andrianna glared at her.

"Why are you doing this? We don't even know you" I asked and the woman whirled on me, a surprised look on her face, that got wiped off with a glare.

"Of course, you don't know who I am because I had to change my fucking face just to be able to walk in the daytime without the fear of getting arrested. It was all your fucking fault. You came to our school, made all the girls crazy, made me lose my friends, and then you made me a murderer. It was all your fault."

My brow furrowed because try as I might, I couldn't remember her at all.

"You don't even know who I am? After all that backstory" she gasped out in shock.

"You didn't exactly stand out a lot Jenny," Andrianna said and I finally figured out why her story felt familiar. She was the jenny that Arielle was obsessed with putting behind bars.

"It doesn't matter," she screamed. "I'm going to commit my last crime and turn myself over to the cops. I'm going to kill you and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it".

The door burst open and Ray stepped into the room with a gun. Jenny whirled to face him in surprise.

"How the hell did you know I was here" she cried out.

Ray looked furious as he advanced toward her. "You fucking double-crossed me, you bitch".

Jenny's gun was aimed at him now, and my hand worked furiously as the knots loosened. "You were wasting too much time and your plan was bullshit. I want Zach dead, but you want him alive to get your documents, did you think I was going to wait around for that".

"This is the most pathetic abduction situation I've ever had to witness" Andrianna muttered in a bored voice

"Shut the fuck up, this is all your fault. If you had just agreed to marry me as your parents told you to, you won't be tied up here".

"Well, let's just pray that bimbo shoots you first before I get out of these bonds," she said, her voice so cold, I knew she'd put a bullet in him the first chance she got.

"My father is never going to give you that document and you know it" I informed him as I worked the last knot off. "You've got the wrong son if that was what you were after".

"He's going to show up for you whether you're the favorite son or not and you know why because your father is all about his image. Heck if his image was a person, I would have abducted that myself. This is nothing personal".

"My sentiment exactly," I said, preparing to fly at him when the door opened, smacking into Ray's back and sending him crashing face-first into the floor, his gun skidded out of his hold, then it was pandemonium everywhere as Jenny screamed and started to pull the trigger when I flew at her, knocking her against the wall.

Andrianna must have gotten her bonds loose because she was suddenly standing over the two of them and holding the two guns. Ray stared up at her, holding his hand off even though his nose was bleeding from having smacked it against the floor.

"Told you this was going to happen," she said and was going to pull the trigger when she noticed that all our eyes were on her. "I wasn't going to," she said with a smile.

Vega rushed into my arm, sending us both tumbling to the ground but I loved the feeling because it was as if I could finally breathe right. I inhaled her scent as she clutched me tightly.

"I thought I lost you again. Where you hurt" she said, trying to pull back to check but I held her tighter, enjoying the feel of her body pressed against mine.

"I love you, Vega. So damn much" I murmured into her hair as I inhaled her scent greedily, all because I felt starved for it.

Andrianna watched us, then the whirling sound of the cops got loud as they drew near the building.

"I was also abducted you know that right" Andrianna said and Vega pulled out of my arms, her face heating up. I also got up from the floor.

"I was going to smack into you next, I promise" Vega got out and Andrianna rolled her eyes.

"And you two," she said, glancing at Jake and Markus who just stared at her, then at the gun she was still pointing at Ray before shaking their head, and that's when we all noticed that Arielle was kneeling over jenny.

Markus rushed to pull Arielle off, while she screamed and thrashed about in his hold

"I didn't do anything! I didn't! I don't even have my knife with me" she screamed.

Jenny coughed, grabbing at her neck and we didn't need anyone to tell us that Arielle had been choking her to death.

The cops rushed into the room and we all could finally relax as they handcuffed the two of them.

"I didn't do anything, it was all Ray. He's in the fucking Mafia".

Ray cursed. "You're going to get yourself killed, just keep your fucking mouth shut".

"That's the jenny you're looking for, Officer, she changed her fucking face, just ask me anything, and I'm going to tell you everything I know" Arielle informed the cops and one of them turned to her, recognizing her.

"Your whole statement will be taken, so please just stay put. Is anyone hurt".

"We're all good officers," Jake said. "This was so freaking epic".

I kissed Vega's head, wanting to feel her close all the time.

"Nothing is going to separate us this time," I said, meaning every word.

"You bet. I plan to be with you forever, so you're stuck with" she said, then kissed my lips.

"I like being stuck with you, "I said, then kissed her, getting drunk on her lips.

"You both, enough with the oppression… we're in the middle of a crime scene here" Andrianna yelled and Jake and Markus burst out laughing.

I didn't care. They were all standing there but I could only see Vega and as I stared at her, I knew there was no way I was ever letting her go.

The week went by pretty fast and Arielle implicated and exposed both my family and hers in their involvement in illegal drug production and distribution.

The image of the family was royally screwed over, and my father was facing a load of charges. Our name was also constantly on the news and it was mortifying. I admit I was surprised that father would involve himself in something like that but I'd always had my doubt. We were also too fucking rich for it to be all legal, and there were also his shady business partners. Noah was the one who was devastated but Andrianna was by his side, and I could practically see sparks flying around them so I was sure he would be ok.

Ray's family seemed to have abandoned him, so he was losing his case, and he also almost got killed while he was in detention.

Jenny was probably going to get a lengthy amount of years in prison for killing Nicole and trying to kill me, which was absurd.

I'd hired the best lawyers for my father, but that was all I could do and even tho they never cared or treated me like family, I wasn't going to use this as an opportunity for revenge. I was gonna be the bigger person and let go, especially when I had Vega by my side.

The door opened and she stepped in almost as if she knew I wanted to be with her.

I smiled as she walked up to my desk- I was still using her office, which I stole from her if you could call it that- she let me have it tho.

"Do you have an appointment, Miss Vega Romeo"?

She smiled, her gaze fixed heatedly on me and I felt my dick hardening in my pants as she came around the desk.

"I do, I made it on my way here," she said, then pressed a kiss to my lips. "It's our night out today. Andrianna wants us to go relieve some stress, are you still up for it, or do you have to meet with your father's Lawyer".

I grinned, pulling her closer until she was sitting on my lap. Her butt was the cutest.

"Absolutely Not, which is a good thing because I need to relieve some stress. Will this be a good time to tell you that I also need my daily tonic" I said, adding what I considered a salacious wink and she giggled?

"Why do you think I sneaked in here," she said, pressing her head to mine and my dick twitched happily.

"Did you lock the door?"

She grinned. "You missed the click, damn," she said and then we were kissing, getting lost in the feel, the scent, and the taste of each other and I was glad she took that bet because if she hadn't, I wouldn't have had her in my life.
