Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Andria's Apartment.

"Let's face it you all, we are stuck with bossy jerks, gosh, damn it all". Bianca said, wriggling her legs under the sheets which covered the four of them. A large bowl of sweets and chocolate took the center space.

Sophia stuffed her mouth, chewing as she spoke. "Yeah, Len just pisses me off every second of the day. I mean I am being extremely nice to him and he didn't even have the courtesy of saying sorry, it's a freaking nightmare".

Sana tugged at her hair. "Oliver wants me to get him a freaking girlfriend, or else he's going to get me fired, by not taking the competition seriously, you'd think he might value his work even just a little bit, but he doesn't, what can I do girls".

They all listened to her whine, before Sophia flopped back, looking at the ceiling.

"You'll have to get him a girlfriend then".

Bianca shook her head, pulling Sophia into a seating position.

"Hell no, don't do it, Sana, you know how Oliver breaks up with his girlfriend, he's so heartless that those girls want to get revenge after everything they'd been through, but do you think they'll go after Oliver, of course not, they won't. They'll come after you cause you introduced them to him".

"You think I don't know all that. Actually, I have a plan"

Andria perked up. "You already have a candidate lined up".

Bianca grinned, gently hitting Sana's shoulder.

"That's fast even for you Sana, I thought it would take much time, considering how many girls are already acquainted with the name Oliver Leo".

"So who are you going to hook up with him," Sophia asked eagerly.

Sana looked uneasy."It's me actually". They all looked at each other before bursting into hysterical laughter.

"Here I thought I was the comedian". Sophia hiccupped, the others nodding in agreement, before turning to face Sana who seemed super serious. Reality sank in hard.

"Are you out of your mind"? The three yelled.

"Are you on drugs right now, what happened to staying professional and never dating the boss"? Bianca asked hotly, her voice tinted with worry.

"You think I want to date that guy, the hell not. But there's no way I'm going to put myself in harm's way once again, getting him a girlfriend is a recipe for disaster."

"But still, dating Oliver is not the solution, it's so wrong". Bianca said vehemently. Andria looked uneasy. She cleared her throat.

"Umm, since we're going to speak about dating the boss and whatnot, I just want you all to know that I've been hiding something from y'all for a very long time".

Sophia waved her off. "We know Andria, but your case is different, at least Jonathan's a decent guy, and he's crazy in love with you".

Andria's eyes widened as she stared at her friends in shock.

"You guys knew... You know about that".

Sana rolled her eyes. "Of course, we knew, you did a great job of sneaking around but you weren't being that subtle. We just figured you'd tell us about him when you were ready".

"Y'all are not mad at me?" Bianca smacked her arms making her Yelp.

"Of course, we were, at first, but you were happy, you also must have gotten anxiety attacks from how hard you tried to hide your pretty little secret, so we cooled off to ease your worry".

Andria teared up, snuggling into the three girls.

"Wow, you guys are just the best. I'm so lucky to have you all".

"Especially me" Sophia got our cheekily, challenging the others with a twinkle in her eyes, they all ignored her, making her laugh in defeat.

Sana got serious once their moment ended.

"So will you all tell me now, why my idea is such a bad idea".

"Because Oliver is a playboy and he doesn't like you". Bianca bites out, almost showing her fangs.

"It doesn't matter, he will learn to love me".

"Do you even hear yourself, you sound as if you like this guy, he just wants sex Sana, you know that". The tension that was in the room spiked. Sophia tugged on Bianca's pants, making faces at her to calm down.

"I won't have sex with him, he can't force me if I chose not to. I think this is the only way I can keep both my job and life".

"You're not going to stop even if we told you to right?" Sophia asked. Sana nodded solemnly.

"Fine, but if he tries anything, kick him in the balls and text us for backup ok". Sana's shoulders relaxed as she smiled, the tension draining out of the room.

"I still don't like this plan. I could never date my boss, even if it was for pretense, I mean have you seen that guy" Bianca shuddered, goosebumps trailing her arms.

"Your boss is a bully, everyone knows that, but he's also extremely cute you know".

Bianca barfed dramatically, causing the others to laugh.

"The ultimate bully is my boss tho. Len the beast"

"You've been calling him by his name all night".

"Because he's a jerk who does not deserve my respect out of the office. Such an awful jerk, ugh".

"Don't stress your head girl, we got ourselves into this, let's just hope they change for the better."

"You're right, so pick up a chocolate everyone and let's make a toast".

Sana rolled her eyes at Sophia's antics. "When did the world start making toasts with chocolates".

"Since I came into it. Now my minions, let's raise our chocolate". Sophia got out enthusiastic, the others groaned, but did as they were told. "Here's to hoping that our crazy bosses don't get crazier". They touched each other's chocolate, murmuring their cheers before laughing at the absurdity of the night.

Sophia smiled contentedly as they talked, venting and lifting each other. This was why she made sure she had lots of friends, she hated the feeling of being alone, unloved, and neglected. She needed the warmth of those closest to her to get through each hard day, so as they all drifted off to sleep, muttering their good night, she wished for one thing, that they'd always have each other's backs and be together always. She hoped their friendship would last long because she had a nagging feeling at the back of her head that the competition that Lennox set up was going to ruin them. Sophia hoped she was wrong.
