Chapter 22: Chapter 22

It was 4 p.m. and now was the time to go home but she needed to inform her boss first before leaving the office.

At the same time she didn't even want to see his face. The moment she had read that contract, her heart exploded into an unfathomable rage. She wanted to kill him in that moment but she stored all her rage within her heart. That rage would play a key role as a fire in her mission to take her revenge from Shehryaar.

She would also give him the same pain which he gave her. If not same then atleast close. The company he sits in, the mafia he runs, she would destroy it all. She would gather evidence and give it to Khaleda and if Khaleda won't help she would release it to the press but she would go to every length.

She would go down but not without a fight.

But what was tensing him was the fear that had been settled within her.

She knew this fear would have her commit a mistake. And even if it is a minor one, given how apt and sharp he was, he would guess it right away that something was wrong with her.

At this point, she was sure he knew her like the back of his hand.

He was in the mafia, he runs a multi national company at the same time. That was the reason she had no doubt in his adroitness. She knew he could read people so she had to be normal. Keep her calm and put her plan in action when things settle down a bit.

Before those customer of her house would come, she had to collect atleast one evidence that could act as a lead for the FBI.

She got up and thought to leave the office without his permission. She remembered him telling her to leave her office only by his permission but at this point she wanted to go home and take some rest rest before taking Amna to the hospital.

Amna had been discharged but the weekly treatment sessions were going on. Amna was more at hospital then at home due to her deteriorating health and Sheharzaad would be by her side all the time. After she would get free from her work she would look after Amna and when she was not there, Ahmed, Amna's fiance will take her care.

The doctors had told her if the treatment hadn't had started then Amna might have died. The money she got from selling herself bought Amna's life yet at the same time Sheharzaad's life was in trouble. She had been encaged and those invincible walls of her cage could only be felt when she would step out of the line set by Shehryaar.

Only her and him were aware of the boundaries he had drawn around her. No matter how bold she would get infront him but she was aware if he wanted, in that very moment he could perish her existence. That was why he was afraid of challenging her due to the power he held. More due to the aura he carried around himself as if he was aware of what each and every single person around him was upto.

She didn't want to challenge him. She couldn't dare do that. That one night she had spent with him was enough for her to gauge what battles she was suppose to pick with him.

And something that had been worrying her since past few days was the incident at his home. She had slapped him because he kissed her but he didn't come for her. He hadn't done anything to her yet. It was worrying her and her sixth sense was already telling her that something was going in his mind.

The trail of her thoughts broke when her phone suddenly rung as she recieved a message from Ahmed on her whatsapp.

'Please can you tell me the recipe of biryani that you and Amna like to eat,'

'Oh so you're to impress my friend with her favorite dish? I see Ahmed Bhai?'

'You can say that but let's see whether this dish impresses you or not,'

Sheharzaad frowned.

'Why me?' She thought.

'Ok I'll tell you the recipe,'

She said and proceeded to record a voice note for him on whatsapp and in the middle suddenly the telecom rung and she jumped. She knew he was calling.

She immediately picked it up quickly putting her phone on the side.

"Come to my room," He ordered and hung up.

She felt all the life leaving her legs. Her face paled within seconds thinking he was going to punish her. Sweat popped on her forehead but she immediately cleared it and drunk a glass of water to calm her nerves.

She got up taking her phone in her hands and went to his office.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Report me of the occurings in the office while my absence. The business deals we received and the progress of our ongoing ones," he demanded, while covered up in heaps of files. His voice serious.

"I've been mailing you that," she muttered under her breath.

"Speak out aloud,"

"I mailed you,"

"What did I just say?" he looked up at her.

"To-to report you,"

"Then report me,"

She inhaled a sharp breath, "ok can I get that file?" she told and went back to her room to take the file.

"Go,"

It took her atleast ten minutes to get that file because she forgot where she had placed it and after those tensed ten minutes she at last got that file and rushed to his office. When she entered she saw a woman already sitting there.

Her unannounced entry caused them both to look at her.

The woman with her fox like eyes gave her a look before turning her face back to Shehryaar. Sheharzaad could already feel an air of sheer arrogance around her.

She was wearing a sleeveless long white kameez and capri trouser underneath. The neck of the shirt was so deep that it revealed her cleavage and through her shirt one could see her white bra as the material was so thin and flimsy. And the capri reached halfway through her fore-leg revealing her silky skin. Her one hand held a  glass and there was apple juice in it, she supposed. Sheharzaad noticed her biting her lips, that were painted with a lip color redder than blood while gawking at Shehryaar who was looking at her..

"Come back," Shehryaar spoke before looking at his wrist watch, "five minutes later. Leave,"

"Ok," she said and stepped out.

She wondered who was that woman.

While inside he was having a talk with that woman.

"How much will you pay me, Shehryaar?" She asked, sipping on her wine.

"3.5 million dollars,"

She immediately looked up with eyes widened, "deal,"

"One of my men will come to you with details. Day, date, time and place. He will give you all the details,"

"Fine. I will wait," she said.

"Sign it," he forwarded a paper that she signed, followed by him signing that deal.

"You can leave," he said while standing up so she stood up too.

When she didn't move to leave, he shot up his brow in a questioning manner.

"But I've one more request," she whispered.

"What is it?" he asked.

She began to walk towards him with a seductive smile on her face. She chewed her lips on purpose while walking towards him. Midway, she got a hold of her dupatta that was pinned across her neck and threw it away.

"You know what I want," she began to play with the buttons of his shirt.

"What do you want?" he whispered too before getting hold of her hands touching him.

She looked up at him, running her tongue on her lower lips.

"Just once more," she muttered, her voice got heavy with desire, "I want the repeat of that night,"

His lips twitched into an unnoticeable smirk.

She placed her hand on his neck and proceeded to give him a hickey when he held her neck. The grip wasn't tight but firm.

"Touch me once more and I won't hesitate to cut you in pieces," he warned and her eyes widened and he pushed her away before dusting off where she had touched.

"If I'm so untouchable Shehryaar then why did you made love with me that night?!" her voice rose up.

"Keep your voice fucking down,"

She shut her mouth up. "Simple, I won't work with you," This time around she kept her voice low.

"I will simply just kill you," he said every so calmly with a smile on his face.

Her mouth hung open. "You know what else I can do,"

She kept quiet and looked down.

"Now you know what to do,"

"I apologise for my misconduct,"

"Good. Come closer,"

A spark entered her eyes as she immediately came close to him.

Grasping her chin, he pulled her head up before penetrating his eyes in hers and began to speak in a low whisper, "just so you know, I don't make love. I fuck," his voice wasn't above a whisper.

The intensity in his eyes mixed with his deep and dark voice had her take a step back when he held her waist stopping her from moving back. She looked down when he slightly tap at her chin, indicating her to look up so she looked at him.

"I fuck and I don't fuck a woman twice. Now leave my office before the count of five," he said and she rushed out.

He sat back on his chair when Sheharzaad entered his office and placed the file on his table.

"What you asked for," she informed.

"Good. And yeah I forgot to tell I'm going to Dubai for a business deal within a few days,"

She just nodded.

"We will extend our business in UAE too,"

She again nodded.

"And this deal will be important to lock,"

"Why are you telling me this?"

"You will be coming with me," he announced.

"I won't," She straightforwardly denied.

"And I wasn't asking for your opinion,"

"I'm not coming with you," she stated with finality.

He moved his brow up, "are you denying my order?" His voice reaching octaves down that caught her breath.

"I-I'm just... I don't want to come,"

"Deny me once more and I'll lock you up in one of my cells," he said, standing up to his full height.

As soon as he stood up, instinctively her feet slightly moved back.

The colors on her face fell upon listening his threat.

"L-look, I've to take care of my friend,"

"So are you denying me?" he asked, leaning forward on the table by placing his hands on the desk.

"Uh-uh, no. I'm not. I just-"

"And," he held her hand as she stood near to the table and brought her closer to him, "I still have some things to settle with you,"

She blinked with confusion at the same time trying to pry his hands off when he tightened his grip, "remember sweetheart," he placed her small hand on his stubble and caressed her cheek, "you had became so encouraging that day that you almost forgot whom you were talking to and at whom did you raise your hand," he whispered the last part, "I'm a bit caught up," he moved closer to her face but she turned her face to right as their lips were almost grazing each other, "but I'll even myself out with you in Dubai," he told and bit her earlobe.

"D-d-on't t-t-touch m-me," she stuttered badly.

"And I know how to do that," he continued murmuring near her ear while looking at the distant wall, "you'd have nowhere to go. I promise,"

He stated casually making her puzzled that was it a threat or was he talking about the weather.

Her insides tremble with his voice and his presence so near to her and his threats keep on flowing to her brain, she had long forgotten how to breathe.

He pulled back, taking a sharp breath while her face had gone pale.

"All I can say to you right now is your fate depends on you," he said and she couldn't grasp what he meant as her mind was too caught up in catching his previous words.

"You may take your leave and start your preparations for our Dubai trip,"

Upon getting his permission, she hurriedly moved away from him.

"I d-don't want to go to Dubai," she said in a whimper when there was a safe distance between them.

"Cell no. 6  is empty where I take those who disobey me alot. Would you like to have a visit?"

With horror etched on her face, she abruptly shook her head as her eyes fearfully looked at him.

"Then do as I say and about your friend, I remember, she has a fiance, what was his name," he tried to recall tapping his finger against his forehead, "Ahmed. He can take care of her while you're away,"

"He can't. Only I-I can," she tried to reason

"Again, I wasn't asking. You're coming with me. End of conversation. Ahmed will take care of your friend. You may take your leave," he said and there was no room of discussion left sowith her heart in her throat she turned around to leave when her eyes fell on the table placed infront the sofa.

Her phone was there. She remembered placing it here when she had gone to her office to take that file.

"Oh my phone," she muttered and grabbed it from the table and walked out.

As soon as she walked out, the first thing she did was to take deep breaths. His presence always suffocated him tremendously.

She had to figure her way out of that Dubai trip. God knows what he would do to her. She felt like burning her tongue with her own hands at this moment.

Why she had to say all that to him? She was now in a deep deep trouble.

She went to her office and sat on her chair trying to think of a solution.

Nothing hit her when she decided to use her phone.

Upon unlocking it, she found the voice recording she was going to send to Ahmed still going on. In hurry, she hadn't pressed the stop button and the phone was still recording. It was already several minutes long. She pressed the stop button and then began to play it to listen to whatever was recorded so atleast it would divert her mind for some moments.

She kept on listening it while fast forwarding it when suddenly something hit her.

It was his voice followed by a woman's voice and she suppose it was the same woman she saw in his office.

The woman greeted him but she heard no response as they began to talk about some business deal and her eyes widened when Sheharzaad heard the word 'money laundering'

Her heart began to beat wide in her ears. She held her breath.

She felt as if she had planted a hidden recorder in his room. And suddenly the fear of getting caught by him got her breath hitched. When she held the phone in which his voice was playing, her hands shook badly. Life leaving her legs. Her face turning pale.

She began to think that she will get caught by him and the thought alone unnerved her. To calm herself down, she drunk a glass of water. It felt as if she was a witness to a murder occuring in a dark silent night. And the murdered didn't know yet she had witnessed his crime so she had to run and get to a safe place before getting caught.

She felt exactly like that witness.

When she was calm enough, she began to think hard and clear.

In that moment, she knew what she have got her hands on.

It was the lead she had wanted.
