CHAPTER 41

Peter nodded and stared at her red full lips and swallowed hard. Now he understands why their principal wouldn't leave her alone and Sophia has to get away with anything she does at school.

They walked to the dining and sat down, Sophia had set the table already and the table was filled with different dishes as he salivated.

"Help yourself out" Mrs. Woods told him as he smiled and nodded before handling the cutleries.

Sophia sat next to him and they ate. Peter kept wondering how would this young lady be her mom.

"I know what you are thinking right now. I get that allot from people. They never believe Sophia is my daughter" she said and sipped from her glass of wine. She doesn't seem too engrossed with the food. She just sat down calmly and watch the kids eat.

"I got married early at the age of 16, to Mr. John Woods. He passed on 9 years after Sophia was born" she narrated calmly as Peter nodded and stared at both mother and daughter, looking at the striking resemblance between the both of them. But Mrs. Woods looked more beautiful than Sophia even at her early 30's.

"So, mind telling us about yourself?" She asked Peter who swallowed what he was eating and nodded.

"Name's Peter Parker--"

"Like the spider man?" She asked giving a weak laugh making him smile. That's how Sophia would actually respond. Seriously, like mother like daughter.

"Ahh, I don't know. I don't have webs coming out of my fingers. I'm just me. Peter Parker" he said as she nodded.

"My parents died in a fire accident when I was 10 years old. I was taken to a foster home till I was 18. Then I came back to my dad's house which has been renovated to claim it. Though the mayor put it out under rentage. He gave part of the money to me and that's what I've been surviving on" he said as Mrs. Woods felt remorseful.

"Oh, I'm so sorry about that" she said as he smiled.

"It's OK, I'm over that now" .

"What about your relatives? Don't you know of any?" She asked.

"None that I know of. They never came looking for me" he said as his voice choked.

"If you want anything, I'm always here ok? " she muttered making him scoff

Mrs. Woods got the message and tried to change the topic.

"My daughter told me how you save her life. I'm so grateful" he smiled and glanced at Sophia who was smiling too. He was just happy that the awkward topic had been dropped.

"I think she likes you already. I just hope you both get along" Sophia blush and Peter went numb.

"I think I'll have to excuse the both of you now" she said standing up as she winked at Sophia who smiled.

"I know your mom is leaving because she wants the both of us to spend time together. ALONE" she giggled.

"Yup, that's her".

"Your mom is very young and beautiful" he confessed.

"Thanks"

"Can we go to my room please? Let's talk about the project" she said as they both stood up.

"Yh sure" he said following her as they went upstairs.

Her room looked so pinkish and beautiful. Justin Bieber's photo was plastered on the walls.

"Seems you're a fan of Justin Bieber" he observed as she nodded.

"Sit" she said as he sat on the bed while she brought the pizza she had ordered earlier and placed on the floor as she sat down beside him too.

"Help yourself out" she said taking a slice as she walked to her fridge to bring two bottles of soda.

"Thanks" he said taking one bottle from her hands as he opened it and gulped down.

"Are you OK? Remember you had a fight with your besties today?" He asked her making her face fell.

"I'm OK, I believe they'll get over it soon" she said as he nodded.

"So.. I wanna ask you a question" she said as he nodded.

"It seems you were trying to warn me or get me away from what might happen to me but I was adamant. How did you know about it?" She asked making him go numb.

"Ahh, you see, I didn't know about anything. I just wanted to get a doll for a friend and I needed you to pick one, since you're a girl" he lied.

"For your girlfriend?" She asked casting her face down.

"Of course not. I don't have a girlfriend YET" he said with a scoff making her face beam with joy.

"So.. Why did you save me? I've been so rude and mean to you. But you.. You saved me" she said facing elsewhere as he raised up her chin with his finger, making her face him.

"Listen to me Sophia. We don't pay evil with evil. Each and everyone of us deserves a second chance. We all do bad things, that doesn't mean we should be condemned" he stated.

"I'm really sorry for all the bad things I've done to you and your friends. I hope you guys forgive me" she apologized as he stared at her eyes.

"One thing you should know about me and my friends is that, we don't carry grudges against people" he said.

"Can we be friends then?" She asked making him nod with a smile.

"Sure"

Before he could say Jack, she pressed her lips against his, kissing him as he just sat motionless. Not responding at all, but she kept pressing forward till he started responding gradually till they both fell on each other's body on the bed.

Bonnie was feeling headache, though she had taken her pills but her head still hurts.

Fay had carried her to her room so she could get some rest, but she couldn't.

She tossed round the bed as she finally sat up. She took her phone from under her pillow as she stared at Peter's photo which was her lock screen saver.

She touched his face on the screen and smiled.

"I wish you' were back" she muttered to herself as she heard Laura, Fay and Alex's voice from the sitting room downstairs.

Elena was telling them what happened between her and Edward and she doesn't know why they were laughing because it doesn't sound funny at all.

She got down from her bed and walked to her door, she touched the door knob and stopped as she heard Peter's voice.

"Hello guys!" He said entering the sitting room as they hailed on him.

"My Peter is back" she muttered to herself as she opened the door and stopped again.

"What's that on your lips bro? is that lipstick? Don't tell me you made out with Sophia on your first visit already" Alex said as they all laughed.

"You wouldn't believe what happened today. I was perplexed too. I never knew.. " he stopped and whispered something to them as they all laughed.

"Come on, we need full details!" Laura said.

Bonnie entered her room back as tears formed in her eyes. She locked the door and sat on her bed lost in thought, on what to do.

She took a magazine from under her pillow as she stared at it. On the magazine was written HOW TO MAKE YOUR DREAM GUY FALL INLOVE WITH YOU.

She seemed so pained and so not happy at all.
