CHAPTER 19

"Aren't you supposed to be rushing to school by now? You're late?" She asked trying to calm the tension rising up in her, Sarah gave her a quizzible look

"Ok ok, we are both late and I'm bothered while you ain't" she said but Sarah kept deft ears.

"Ok, I actually feel as if I'm talking to myself" Elena muttered to herself as Sarah gave her a look which made her wonder if she heard her or not.

They kept walking in silence to school as Sarah kept looking at something which Elena didn't understand.

But unknown to her, Sarah was staring at the ghost girl who was following them to school.

"Are you ok?" Elena asked after observing.

Sarah glanced at her then back at the ghost girl who was playing on the road but actually following them.

They got to their school hallway and walked down as students ran here and there, as the warning bell rang.

They both got to class, Mr. Alaric was teaching. They stopped at the door and he looked at the time. 10:12Am

He was actually shocked to see Elena coming to school by this time because it was so not her thing. Every one knows already that it was kind of Sarah's thing now. But definitely, not Elena.

"Miss Bellos, you can go in" Mr. Alaric said as Sarah walked inside the class, went to the extreme and sat on her seat as she arranged her books.

"Miss Gilbert" Mr. Alaric called as she swallowed hard.

"Mind telling the class why you were late to class?" He asked her as her breath heighted. She haven't been in such situation before and doesn't know how to get out now.

"Sir, her project mate is Sarah, they both came same time because one of them had a sleep over at the other's. They were deliberating on what to do on their project" Laura lied as Elena gave her a look. She winked at Elena who nodded

"How lame is that. Being paired with a psycho. Who knows if she would end up being a mute like Sarah after the science fair" Sophia mocked as the students laughed.

"I wonder what they're going to do in the project. Who knows huh?! Since Sarah is dump, Elena might get frustrated talking to herself" Rhoda said making everyone burst out in laughter.

"Stop it everyone or I'll walk you, Sophia and Rhoda outta my class" Mr. Alaric warned as the class giggled.

"We are sorry sir" Rhoda said.

"We were just stating the obvious" Sophia added making the class burst out in laughter again.

"Shut up! You know what? Sophia! In my office this instance!" Mr. Alaric shouted as they kept mute while the stubborn ones giggled.

"I already have detention sure, there's nothing worse than that" she said standing up sluggishly"

"I said in my office this instance!" He repeated.

"Ok, ok, I'm going" she said and glanced towards Sarah.

"You're so dead bitch" she mouthed to her while Sarah stared back at her blankly before starting at her drawing before her.

When Sophia finally left the class, Mr. Alaric faced Elena whose mind was still troubled.

"Why didn't you say so?" Mr. Alaric asked Elena as she couldn't help but thank Laura in her heart.

"Because I know that doesn't justify the fact that I'm late. I'm really sorry sir" she said as Mr. Alaric breathed down.

"Go in and make sure history doesn't repeat itself" He told her as she nodded.

"Thank you sir" she said and walked to her seat and turned to Laura and muttered a thank you to her, while Laura just winked at her. Alex waved at her as she nodded.

When she glanced back at where Sarah normally sit, her gaze met that of Sarah, Sarah was actually staring at her.

Elena got the heebies and quickly faced Mr. Alaric at the board but her mind wasn't in class.

Whenever she glance back at Sarah, Sarah was always staring at her. She felt a cold shiver run through her spine.

"Something is wrong somewhere" she said tapping her feet.

Bonnie and Peter walked towards her class, but Peter stopped outside because guidance weren't allowed to enter the class with their kids.

"We'll meet during lunch break so we would go to the amusement park ok? I wouldn't wanna spend all my day in school" Bonnie said as he nodded.

She walked into her class majestically, their class teacher was there already, taking attendance.

"Ma'am, would you excuse me please? I'll like to give an announcement to the class" she said as Mrs. Sobertooth removed her spec and stared at her.

"And which is?" She asked her as she huffed.

"Why don't you listen to it when I announce it huh? i wouldn't like to repeat myself, it's so tiring" she said as Mrs. Sobertooth just stared at her. She was used to Bonnie's talks already, so it doesn't freak her out.

"Thank you" Bonnie said and smiled even when she hasn't been given a go ahead order.

"And, the arithmetic homework you gave us? question number 9 was wrong, I'll really love it if you check it out later" she said and winked at her teacher who just opened her mouth and stared at her.

"So gather round everybody, I have an announcement to make" she said clapping her hands as the class settled down.

"What do you wanna say now Miss Talkative!" Rose said folding her arms as Bonnie rolled her eyes at her.

"Just shut up geek, I wasn't talking to you" Bonnie said as the noise in the class died down.

"I'll be having my birthday party at my house today by 7pm, there would be plenty of drinks, ice cream and chocolates. You all are invited" she said as the class cheered.

"Would there be sweets too?"

"And cheese?"

"And pizza?"

"French fries?"

The class asked randomly as she smiled.

"There would be alot more than that and above all, there would be so much fun! You can also come with your gifts too. And guess what guys? My boyfriend would be there too" she said as the class gasped.

She turned and faced their teacher whose mouth was still agap.

"Don't mind me, I don't have a boyfriend, YET, because he hasn't accepted my proposal" she said to her who blinked her eyes.

Is this kid human? She wondered.

"But guys, Rose is not invited to my party!" She said finally.

"But why?!" Rose asked as she smiled and folded her arms.

"Because you aren't mY friend and my dad asked me to invite my friends" Bonnie stated.

"Whatever, I'll come anyway. You wouldn't know" Rose fired back.

"Too bad hon, cause I'd be sharing the invitation card. If you aren't with your card, you won't be allowed to come in" she said bringing the pile of cards from her bag as she started sharing it while her teacher watched dazed. She never include herself in Bonnie's business.

It was lunch break already, The Freaks were at their normal table except Peter who was with Bonnie.

Sophia walked up to them with her crew.

"Where the hell is Peter?" She asked folding her arms at them.

The Freaks acted as if she wasn't there while giving her deft ears as she got mad.

"Seriously, I need to tell Mr. Adams that I need a change of partner. You guys are really Freaks as they call you. Girls, come let's get outta here. When I see that Parker guy, I'm gonna punch him on his face" she said and walked towards the cafe door but stopped as she turned to face Sarah.

"And you psycho, immediately I get out of detention, I'm gonna teach you a lesson" with that, she stormed out of the cafe.

The Freaks laughed immediately she left.

"Such a drama queen" Alex said as Elena stared at Sarah.

"Why don't you go talk to her?" Laura asked observing how Elena was staring at Sarah .

"She's such a snub, I tried talking to her while we were coming to school today. She didn't even seem interested at all" Elena said bitterly.

"Maybe you could start up a conversation about the project, how about that? She would wanna listen trust me" Laura asked.

"Well, the way she was staring at me in History class gave me the heebies. Makes me feel I'm the next but she doesn't know how to tell me" she returned bitterly.

"I wouldn't want that girl staring at me. I don't like her dark eyebags" Alex heaved and glanced towards Sarah who was drawing at her regular seat.

"Elena! The clock is ticking. We don't have much time. Just to talk to her" Laura adviced.

"I'll give it a try. But I'm scared of her looks" she said and walked up to Sarah's table.

"Hey Sarah" she said to Sarah who was drawing.

Sarah just raised her chin and stared at her, then continued what she was doing.

"I just wanted us to talk about our project" Elena said as Sarah stopped painting and brought out a piece of paper. She wrote something on it and passed it to her.

Elena muttered a thanks to her as she left and walked back to her friends.

"What did she say?' Laura asked out of curiosity

"Have you forgotten she doesn't talk. She just wrote something and gave me. And it's encrypted in Latin" Elena complianed.

Alex snapped a picture of it as he sent a message to Peter attaching the photo of the writing.

"What are you doing?" Laura asked him.

"Obviously texting Peter" he said.

## Ask Bonnie the meaning of that writing ##

He sent a message to him In which he responded to in 30 minutes time.

## she said it means LET'S MEET AT MY HOUSE BY 3PM. I WANNA SHOW YOU SOMETHING

Alex read out the message to them as Elena smiled.

"What does she wanna show you? And how does she expect you'll be able to decipher Latin language?" Laura asked rushing her words.

"I don't care! Let the game begin. I just can't wait to meet her" she said as they stared at Sarah who was busy painting.

Elena stared at her wrist watch seeing it was 12:26Pm
