Chapter 12: Chapter 12

It was the morning of my wedding day and i was so nervous,seriously freaking out and i was feeling butterflies but good enough Clare was with me in the room and she tried to calm me down.

"yes today is your big day and am super excited but i know you are feeling nervous right now and i just want you to know that you are going to be just fine." Clare told me while hugging me.

She managed to calm me down and after that,she did my make up cause she was so good in it so i didn't bother to hire a makeup artist cause i trusted her with that.

"girl,Carlton is going to lose his mind after looking at you...you are truly looking like an Angel." Clare said while looking at me in the mirror.

I also looked at myself and it was true,i was looking very beautiful today.

Carlton has been coming over at the house more often for the past days during the morning hours before heading to work and i had gotten used to his presence cause having him around made me to divert my mind for a while and it was really healthy.

Yes,we kissed on many occasions but we never went far with that cause he was like,he wanted our first night to be memorable so we never had sex.

But after spending some time with him in the past few days,i still can't believe that am getting nervous right now!!?

Clare helped me in zipping up my dress then i also helped her with hers...we stepped out of the room and headed outside the house.

One of my distant uncles was waiting for us and he was the one to drive us to the church as well as walk me down the aisle.

We moved to the car and we set off...when we reached the church,Clare put down the gown veil and we stepped outside of the car.

"hey you got this...shake it off." Clare said.

We went to the church entrance and uncle took my hand as Clare stood behind me and displayed the gown train.

We walked inside as they were singing church hymns but the church had very few people inside cause we didn't invite a lot of people since i wanted a small wedding.

We reached to the alter and uncle handled me over to Carlton who was anxiously waiting for me.

We didn't have any written vows for each other so the Reverand requested us to repeat after him and we did as he said...after saying the 'I do' part,Reverand announced us husband and wife then he requested Carlton to kiss his bride.

He lifted my veil and kissed me then a few people in the church appluded for us.

We went out of the church and went back home where the reception was...i suggested to put the reception at my home since this is the last time am going to stay there cause the bank is taking it away from me.

Clare sat in the other car with Carlton's brother,so i was alone with Carlton in his car and he was the one driving.

"we are now husband and wife...how do you feel about that?" he asked me.

"uhm to be frank,i really don't know cause this is a new journey we have started." I replied.

"but we shall be fine right?? i got you and you got me...let's have each other's back and we shall overcome every obstacle in our way." he said and it was clear that he meant every word that he spoke.

I nodded and gave him a warm smile...when we reached my house where the reception was,already a few of our invited guests were waiting for us but i first rushed upstairs with Clare to get rid of the wedding gown cause it was too heavy and i was tired of it so i needed some simple changing dress.

After changing,i joined Carlton in interacting with our guests and when everything was done,the guests started leaving one by one and we also had to leave.

Clare helped me in packing my stuff and Carlton assisted in carrying them to the car then we moved out of the house.

"girl congratulations once again and am going to miss you so much my annoying bitch." Clare said as she hugged me.

"annoying!!?? it's you who is very much annoying and i feel happy that we won't be staying together anymore...pheeewww." i told her while pulling away from her hug.

"Ciara are you being real?? i didnt know you hated me so much." she said in a sad tone.

"haha look at your face!!! am just messing with you...it's hilarious that you fell for it...i love you so much Clare and these past days,you have became more special to me cause you have really sacrificed a lot for me and i don't take that for granted." I told her and now both our eyes were getting watery.

She didn't reply but rather,we hugged each other so tight while sniffing and we didn't let go till we calmed down.

We pulled out of the hug and cleaned each other's face cause we have been crying like little kids...i gave her my car keys so that she can use my car to get back home since am going to use Carlton's car.

When she set off,i opened the door to Carlton's car or let's say my husband's car and sat in cause he has been waiting for me all along.

"you guys really love each other." he said the moment i sat in.

"yah she really means a lot to me." i replied in a sad tone.

"should we get going now??" he asked.

"yah am ready...let's go to our home." i replied.

"woww!!! hearing the word home coming from you puts me in the moods already." he replied with a smile and my mind started getting crazy.
