Chapter 47: Chapter 47

*Third Person's Pnt Of View*

The celebration was grand. Chandeliers glimerring beautifully, fancy curtains, perfectly arranged chairs and so on. The celebration was to be held at the grand ballroom in the royal castle. Many types of dishes filled the reserved pots, trays and other vessels required for cooking. The cooks were doing a great job so far.

The environment was busy and elegant. A few person's were still lingering close to the decorations trying to perfect them. Drops of flowers petals filled the altar, as directed by the queen. Laura was right about this been the greatest. It took some few minutes before the two groom, anticipately waiting.

Meanwhile, the brides were in their own chambers preparing for their upcoming celebration. Laura stood close to them, the queen and two brides wouldn't have it any other way. She was closer to them than any other female specie.

Laura sucked her mouth like candy as she stared at the two brides. She was battling on who was more beautiful than the other and was at the same time looking for flaws and mistakes and she can amend before time runs out.

"I don't see any mistakes. Let's just wait till you both are done with your makeup," Laura dismissed them and called the makeup artist to start their job.

"I don't want any makeup," Sandra complained. She was speaking her mind but her complaint fell on the deaf ears of Laura, who was suddenly in charge because of the absence of the queen. Laura sighed, the queen will lash out if they didn't apply makeup and look at them now wrangling about it.

"If the Queen comes here and you are not done with the makeup, you're dead," Laura stated out and motion to the two makeup artists who looked slightly tensed after the statement.

Laura was not threatening them even if it sounded like one; she was just stating and warning them what will happen.

And just like she had told them, the Queen herself walked inside with a couple of maids with her. "I thought you both had makeup on already."

"I delayed them a bit; I was checking for flaws and I found none. Maybe you can check if there's any flaws yourself, I may have not observed well," Laura cooed in British accent and the quuen broke into a smile. Laura knew she had saved those two artists, and she didn't need a pay back.

"Okay then. I'll have it checked after they are done," the Queen replied in the same mAnner.

The Queen had some love for Laura, especially when she speaks like that. Laura had let go of some of her childish ways and acted more of a lady, due to the influence of the Queen herself.

The makeup artists hurried up and left the room after taking a bow. The two brides stretched a bit to the amazement of both the Queen and Laura.

"I done see any flaws, Laura. You have done well," the Queen smiled and Laura thanked her. If you are thinking Anne had a bit of jealousy than you are wrong. Anne was indeed happy that she had gotten her mother out of her hair and she was greatful to Laura.

"Chop chop! We have to go now! Your grooms awaits," Laura spoke as she wiggled her brows at them. This indeed earned a blush from them. Like I had said before, some of her childish behaviours were gone, some!! Even the Queen chuckled lightly at this; the two princesses of the day stepped down and were led out outside to their awaiting fathers.

Each father gave their daughter a hug and few kisses before they were escorted down the aisle, where the grooms were patiently waiting with their best men by their sides.

Luke however, was admiring his love as she walked majestically towards him; same goes for Oliver.

The ladies joined their side and the congregation sat down including Laura and the Queen.

"You look like a goddess," Luke whispered to Sandra, who blushed crazily.

"You are the most beautiful woman to ever live," Oliver spake and Anne blushed too. The crowd went 'Aww' and they blushed harder.

The saying of vows and talks of the priest went as they came, quickly. None of the to be couples had time for that, they wanted to get it over with and be together, forever.

"You may now kiss your brides," the priest announced and they turned to each other. The smiles on their faces couldn't be contained as their lips met and the crowd went wild...

The cutting on cake commenced later, Laura was the one who ate enough, rather because she hadn't tasted it before.

Gabriel straightened his suit and sighed. He graciously walked into the crowd and spotted Laura close to the couples. He approached her gently and covered her eyes.

"Guess who?" He breathed and she giggled. She knew who he was his voice and cologne gave him away.

He slipped his hands off and she turned to him. "Hi," she smiled. "Hey," he replied also with a smile.

"Care for a dance?" He asked surprising Laura, who shook her head aggressively.

The couples close to them just laughed and followed them to the dance floor.

"This couldn't get better," Gab whispered as they glided.

"Yeah," they were all happy at least, that's what matters. Happiness..

No matter where you are, how ugly you are, how poor you are; their are people who loves you. You started from a touch patch but it doesn't matter, they love you for who you are...

Not beauty, not fame or money, but for you! Laura learnt that variable lesson and she's forever in debt to her family. Her real family!!!
