Chapter 1: Chapter 1

"Wake up sleepyhead" I can feel someone sit down on the end of my bed and I open my eyes only a little to peek and sees rose sitting on the end of my bed.

Rose was one of my close friends that moved away. When she moved away our relationship started to fade away and next thing you know, we weren't cool anymore. But when she did move away she started to say a lot of bad shit about me online so I blocked her on all social media.

"I saw you open your eyes eva, get up" she continues tapping me and I kick her a little. "What are you even doing here?" I sit up in bed.

"That's the first thing you ask instead of giving me a hug?"

"You think you deserve a hug? After calling me a slut and a bitch all on social media?" I stand

"I know and I'm so sorry for that Eva, I didn't mean any of it, you know how close me and you were" Rose rubs my thigh and I push her away.

"If we were so close you wouldn't have said all of that about me" I walk out of the room and downstairs where my mom and dad are sitting down having breakfast.

"Oh, good morning honey" my mom smiles at me just as rose comes walking in the kitchen.

"Good morning" I sit down as my mom stands and sets a plate of food down in front of me. "So can anybody tell me why she is here?" I eat some eggs and bacon.

"I had a talk with her mom a few days ago and rose said how she missed living over here so her mom suggested that she come stay with us for the summer, it was a surprise since I know y'all used to be best friends"

"Key word, used to be" I drink some of my orange juice "not anymore"

"I know y'all haven't seen each other in a while but please be friendly" my mom finishes her breakfast and stands.

"I have to get to work so I'll see you soon" my dad kisses my mom and me on the cheek. "Bye dad"

My dad leaves and me, my mom and rose finish eating breakfast in silence. After eating breakfast we all put our plates in the sink.

"I have to go in a few minutes too honey so have fun" my mom kisses me on the cheek "see you later Rose"

"Bye" we both say and my mom grabs her purse and coat and walks out. "So now what shall we do?" Rose asks and I ignore her and stands and walks off upstairs to my room.

I close the door behind me and lays down on my bed and gets on my phone and starts to text some friends. 2 minutes later my door opens and rose walks inside.

"Did I say you can come in my room?" I say without trying to make eye contact with her. "So what, me and you haven't seen each other in about 4 years, let's get to know each other better, again" she sits on the edge of my bed.

"I'm good"

"Well I'll just talk about me then, I've been doing good since I've moved, our house is very big and beautiful, I'm the most liked in my school, I have a girlfriend now, boys just got way too boring for me" she laughs but I continue staring at my phone.

"Eva, you can keep pretending that you hate me but we all know you don't" I feel her hand touch my ass "remember that one time at that party?"

I move her hand away "don't bring up something old, we were both drunk and we need to forget about that" I sit up in bed.

"It's hard to forget about something like that, the way you was moaning my name" Eva smirks

"Rose I'm not playing, get out"

"Okay" rose stands and walks towards the door "come next door if you need me" She smiles then walks out.

Me and rose kinda had sex one time at a party, but we were both drunk so it really didn't mean anything. We both said we were gonna forget it ever happened.

I stand and walk over to my door and just as I'm about to lock it there's a knock and rose opens it.

"I was gonna get in the pool, wanna join me?" I look down at her body to see her in a black lace swimsuit.

"No, I'm good"

"Come on, please?"

"Okay, let me get changed"

"Alright, see you downstairs" she smiles and walks off and I walk to my dresser and picks out a black and white polka dot swimsuit then changes into it. I then walk downstairs and outside joining Rose in the pool.

"So can you please tell me how you've been?" Rose asks me as she swims towards me. "I've been fine"

"And are you seeing anybody?"

"Nope, relationships never works out with me"

"I don't understand why not"

"Every relationship I've been in they cheated on me" I hop out of the pool and sits on the ledge.

"Why? You're beautiful, you shouldn't be cheated on" Rose swims towards me then sits next to me.

"I don't know, but I don't care anymore" I stand "I have to use the bathroom real quick so I'll be right back"

"Okay" she smiles at me and I walk off inside. I walk upstairs to the bathroom and closes and locks the door. After using the bathroom I wash my hands and walk back to my room and looks out the window and Rose is gone.

"Looking for me?" I jump at the sound of rose voice behind me and turns around to her. "No"

"Yes you were" She walks over to my bed and lays back on it "Sorry, I'm still a little wet" she smirks at me.

"Well, I think I'm about to go to a friends house, are you gonna be good here alone?" I walk over to my dresser and pulls out a black romper and puts it on.

"I guess" she sits up "Are you tryna avoid me that bad?"

"No I'm not, I been made these plans with my friends"

"So include me in these plans, I don't wanna be here alone" she stands and walks over to me.

"Okay, get dressed"

"Be right back" she rushes out of the room and comes back in 2 minutes later dressed "ready"

We both walk downstairs and out the door and get into my car and I drive off. 7 minutes later I arrive at my friends house and parks. We both get out and walks up to the door and I knock.

Monique opens the door "Hey Eva!" She hugs me "oh, and you brought a friend"

"You can call her that"

"Well anybody that's a friend of Eva's is a friend of mine, come in" we both walk inside and Monique closes the door.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Monique" monique hugs rose

"Hi, I'm rose" rose smiles

"Well are the others already here?" I ask.

"Yes, in the living room, I gotta go get more drinks" Monique says

"Oh good, I'll help you" Rose follows Monique in the kitchen and I walk off into the living room.

"Eva, you're finally here!" Brooklyn stands and gives me a hug "I feel like I haven't seen you in months"

"It's only been a week" I laugh just as Monique and rose comes back in the living room.

"And who's this?" Brooklyn smiles at rose.

"Nice to meet you, I'm rose" rose smiles and shakes Brooklyn hand.

"I'm sorry but you look good" Brooklyn says

Here goes Brooklyn tryna flirt like always.

"Thanks, so do you"

"Well everyone this is rose, rose this is Brooklyn, Monique, Aliyah and Hayley" I introduce them.

"How did you and rose meet?" Brooklyn asks.

"Me and her used to be best friends until she moved away" I respond and sits and rose sits down next to me "I didn't wanna leave her in the house by herself so I let her come"

"Well we were just about to watch a movie, should we watch a horror movie or a romance movie?" Monique asks.

"It doesn't matter"

Monique ends up putting on scary movie 2 and turns the lights off. We all sit and watch it while laughing.

(Rose pov)

I turn to Eva and watches her a few times as she's laughing at the movie. God, she's so beautiful, but it's obvious she doesn't think of me that way.

Eva is covering up with a blanket and I grab some of the blanket and covers myself up. I wrap my arm around her neck as she looks at me then looks back at the screen. After the movie Monique just puts some music on as everyone starts to sing along to all the songs they know.

"So rose, why don't you tell us more about yourself" Monique says

"I moved to Atlanta like 4 years ago, it's very nice there, but I'm 19 years old, I'm lesbian, I'm also single" I say with a laugh.

"But didn't you say -" Eva tries to speak but I shush her.

"Finally we have another lesbian here, I'm tired of being the only one" Brooklyn says

"I like to try other options" I smirk at Brooklyn and winks. "You're so gonna get me in trouble" Brooklyn says with a laugh.

Me and the other girls get to know each other better while Eva just sits there and listens to us. "It's getting pretty late Rose, we gotta go" Eva stands.

"Okay" I stand "Well it was nice meeting you all"

"Wait" Brooklyn writes something down on a piece of paper and hands it to me "call me or text me" She smiles and I smile back "Okay"

Eva & me leaves and we get back inside the car and she drives off. "Your friends seem nice" I say.

"Yeah, they are" she says

"Brooklyn seems like a nice girl also, she gave me her number" I say trying to make her jealous.

"Good for you" she avoids eye contact with me "didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?"

"I do but nobody else needs to know that"

The rest of the car ride home is quiet. When we arrive home we both get out and walks inside. We walk upstairs and she walks off in her room and closes and locks the door. I walk into my room and turns on the tv and lays down and tries to go to sleep.

All I could think about is that night me and Eva messed around. The truth is, I wasn't that drunk and I loved every minute of it. I know Eva feels the same way she just doesn't wanna admit it but I'm not gonna stop going after that girl.
