Chapter 92: Chapter 92
Author's POV
Two Days Later
"Angela, Did you get the divorce paperback from Eric?" Ella inquired her on the phone.
"No…"
"He didn't send it back." Angela pressed her forehead's middle part, feeling frustrated.
"Why is he taking so much time? Did he refuse to sign it?" Ella furiously raised a question.
"No, I don't know! I didn't give him a chance to reject it!" Angela explained.
"Then why still didn't send it back to you?... I don't get a good feeling about this!" Ella replied with a heavy voice while adding, "Can't he see, there is nothing left for him!"
Ella sighed, feeling Eric was just wasting his and her friend's time.
Angela pressed her lips tightly hearing her friend's words.
"Angela, I think we should go to his house with the lawyer! If we want paper." Ella's suggestion made Angela a little taken back for a moment, but she knew she was saying right.
"I think you are right Ella...But…"
"But what?" Ella frowned.
"But I think...I need to check on him by myself first before taking the lawyer there…" Angela's words made Ella's brows arch as she immediately replied with little anger, "You are still thinking about their reputation!"
Angela didn't reply.
"Really Angela?" Ella was angry because she knew her friend had a kind heart. Even if she is angry, she will never try to make anyone suffer because of her.
"Ella, I'll just call him to know about a paper that's it! If he makes any suggestions I'll go with your plan!" Angela's words made her relieved that she was just going to call.
"Alright! As you wish! After talking to him, let me know about the situation!" Ella's words turned out to be serious.
Angela sighed to feel how serious her friend is.
"Alright! Now don't think too much!" Angela replied with a calm tone.

Angela tried to call Eric many times but he didn't pick up. So, at last, she just gave him a text.
On the other side, Eric was still on the bed after drinking non-stop again. He stays in the home bar room and drinks alcohol until he loses consciousness. As soon as he got sober, he again used alcohol to make him not remember about the divorce thing.
So, when Angela called him, he didn't know about it.
After a long sleep when he woke up in the late evening, he found Angela's text on his phone.
"Angela…" He immediately sat back on the bed and opened her message.
'Send back the divorce paper, if you are done with signing up!'
Reading that, he felt furious. Because all she wants is not divorce. She didn't even give him a chance to explain himself. Did his words not matter to her?
This thought gave him more pain as he suddenly thought of something in his mind and next later texted her.
'I'll sign the paper only if you come home to take it back on your own today.'
After pressing the send button he threw the phone on the bed while he went to look at his bloodshot red-eyed, misbehaving appearance in the mirror.
He looked like a homeless man who didn't care about day and night all he cared about was alcohol.
However, he knew Angela would come if she truly wanted a divorce, so he needed to be prepared for his plan.

"Mom, I'll be back, I need to go somewhere…" Angela picked up her bag and was ready to leave the house to go to Brooks's mansion.
She gave deep thought and finally made her mind go on her own without making anyone worry for her. She will tell everyone after coming back with the divorce paper.
"But where are you going this late?" Mrs.Brown asked as it was already 8 pm.
Angela gave a small smile to her mom and responded calmly, "I'm going to meet Ella, she's already in the city!"
She lied.
"Oh alright! Tell her to come home!"
"Yeah! Mom!" She smiled.
"Now, I'm leaving! She's waiting for me!" Angela explained as she thought to move fast.
"Alright! Enjoy your time! I'm glad you are hanging out with your friend…" Mrs.Brown looked at her daughter full of love and concern.
"Mom!" Angela hugged her and said, "Now don't worry about me!"
"Yeah…" Mrs.Brown nodded.
Angela left the house with her car.
"Sorry, mom for lying!" She whispered out of the breath.
I just don't want mom and Ella to worry because of me! I need to make him sign the paper and come back, that's it…after that everything would be short out!"
She started the engine and moved to Brook's mansion.
In halfway, she got a call from Ella's number which made her stop the car and take it.
"Hello, Angela!" Ella's voice came out as soon as she pressed the button.
"Hello, Julia…" Angela didn't think she would call so soon.
"Did you call Eric?" She asked while Angela bit her lower lips with stress.
"Y-Yes!"
"Great, what did he say?"
Angela felt a little nervous as she didn't want to tell her that she was going to meet Eric related to the divorce paper.
"He didn't take the call!" Angela hesitantly uttered.
"What the?" Ella got furious.
"Then do we need to go with a lawyer?" She asked.
"No! Not now!"
"Let me try one more time!"
"Angela, are you serious right now!"
"Yeah!" Angela immediately responded.
"Fine! As you feel!" Ella got a little angry.
"Ella, don't be mad! You know I…"
"Yeah, I know and that's why I'm thinking you are too kind to them…"
Hearing her words, Angela pressed her lips.
"I'm not kind Ella, I just don't want people's attention. I don't want anyone to sympathize with me…" Angela's words were true, Ella knew very well.
"Alright, don't be serious! I understand you!" Ella replied feeling bowed.
"Ella, I need one help…" Angela bit her lower lips.
"What? Tell me?" Julia calmly asked.
I come out of the house saying that you come back to the city. So, please if mom asks, just tell her I'm with you."
"But where are you going?" She knew Ella asked that.
"I just wanted some alone time! I hope you can understand and help me out this time!"
"Yeah okay...don't worry about that…" Getting Ella's response Angela felt relieved.
"Alright, I'm driving right now! Let's talk later!" Angela informed her.
"Okay...take care of yourself and if you need any help call me…"
"Yeah, I know…" Angela said that and finally disconnected the call.
She doesn't know why she wanted to solve this situation on her own but seeing how worried everyone was because of her, she thought this is the right thing to do.
