Eric's POV

After searching the whole area, finally, we got Ayesha's car location. Some traffic police saw her car going towards X city border which is not far from our location.

Cops and our car drove out from that apartment to catch her on her way. Because we calculated that she's trying to cross the border with her car at midnight. It means Angela would be in great danger if we can't stop her from crossing the border at the right moment.

Suddenly, John's phone rang, and I looked in his direction.

As he completed the talk, he turned his head towards me.

"They saw her car and now they are following it!" As soon as I heard his words. My soul comes back. I couldn't help but feel the heaviness above my heart start to vanish.

"Let's move fast!" I ordered.

John instructed the driver and our car ran towards the location which he got on his phone.

A few minutes later our car was already behind the cop's car.

While I could see that there was a white car just in front of the cop's car which they were following and I could recognize that. It's Ayesha's car.

My chest tightened as soon as I saw it.

Her car was at full speed going while the police car was trying to move faster. But it is still too far to catch her.

"Driver! Drive-in full speed!" My voice is sharpened while my eyes turn to kill mode.

The driver felt my warning and instantly used his whole strength to speed up without thinking about other things or rules.

My car was faster and could catch her. But the cop's car is still on our way. So, I asked John to call the cops and asked them to go in a different direction to capture her from the front. We would try to capture her from behind.

John did that instantly and a few minutes later the cop's car vanished. They take another route to follow her. While my car is the only one now behind her and I could feel, she saw my car, that's why she changed her turn and started driving on some random road.

I asked the driver to try to speed up and go fast from her.

The driver did that successfully.

It is a triangular road, so both cop's cars come from the front while my car blocked her way from behind.

As soon as all the way was blocked. Ayesha's car finally stopped.

"Boss! We did it!" John's voice caught my attention.

The cops came out from their car while I did the same and ran towards her car.

I can see Angela finally, thinking of my heartfelt turmoil.

I opened the front door in a hurry to meet Ayesha's angry eyes. She's greeting her teeth like a madwoman.

Seeing her finally in front of me, my whole body burning in anger. My eyes almost turned icier while my hand turned on the fust which held the car door.

I want to show her hell for what she did but before that, I need to see Angela who is not in the front seat. I turned my head to look backward but she was not there either. My heart sank as soon as I realized she was not in the car anywhere.

Cops came into the driver's seat and captured Ayesha.

"What the hell! Released me!!! You can't do that!!" She shouted with anger. But hearing her voice, my anger already burst out.

I moved towards her and held her neck.

Everyone turned shocked around me while John ran towards me and another officer tried to release my hand from her neck.

Ayesha's eyes didn't show any pain. No matter how tight my grip went. She's angrily looking at me. Like a dead person.

"Where is Angela?" I asked angrily while she started smiling, like manically.

Seeing her smile, my face turned gloomy while I'm ready to kill her any time.

"Where is Angela? Tell me bitch!!!" I asked in frustration which she could see and her creepy smile turned wild.

"I asked you!! Tell me where Angela is?? Or I'll kill you here!!" My eyes turned red bloodshot while my grip was in the last stage.

Her face turned red. But still, she didn't speak up.

"Mr.Brooks! Don't take the law in your hand!" The officer tried to speak to me but I was completely in rage.

But suddenly, John shouted beside me.

"Boss, we still haven't checked the car's backside! And if you kill her then we can't find madam on time!" His last words made my eyes widen.

Yes, he's telling the truth. Ayesha hides Angela. Then I can't let her die. I still need to find Angela! In anyhow!

Thinking all this, I finally released her neck with a push which made everyone relax while she coughed widely.

Cops check out the whole car but she's not anywhere which is rectified. Ayesha made her hide in another place.

"You can't find her in this life, Eric! I already sent her far away from your life!" Ayesha speak out suddenly which made me look at her with dangerous eyes.

"Ayesha, don't take my words for granted. If you don't tell me where she is! I'll make your life hell! Remember that! And not only you but your family also!" I warned her.

Hearing me, she chuckled lout which made my forehead veins start showing.

"If you think about it, your warning made me scared! Then you are wrong! Even if I kill, I'll make you pay for your deeds!" Her words made me lose my mind and I reached towards her but cops and John stopped me to kill that bitch.

"I'll ask you one last time! Where is she? Tell me now!"

I shouted with my whole might.

But she only smiled and said the same thing. She sent Angela far.

I don't know but her words started to scare me. I don't know where she sent Angela. Will she be alright until I get there? Many questions started to come out.

I felt I started to lose my life.

My eyes filled with tears while I felt my legs no longer supporting me.

I knew down in front of Ayesha and this time my emotion got heavy on my anger.

"Ayesha! Please tell me where Angela is?" Seeing me broken, everyone there was shocked.

John never saw me like this, so I could see everyone's pity stares at me.

"Hahaha!"

"Eric Brooks! Kneeling in front of me!" Ayesha mocked me while I could only listen and asked her for information.

If my kneeling could get my Angela safe. I can do that for my whole life.

"Now please tell me! Where is she?" I asked like a weak man.

Ayesha looked at me and smirked evilly.

"I'll not go to tell you. Even you kill yourself in front of me!" Her words made me finally realize she will not tell me anything.

Now I need to find myself. Without her help.

The next moment, I stood up again.

"Ayesha! Even if you are not going to tell me! But I promise I'll find her within time!" I declared while asking the cops to send her to the police station.

But before I can open the door of my car. The unknown phone rang which made everyone attracted the next moment.

I can sense the music coming from Ayesha's white car.

I glanced at the car and then at Ayesha, whose expression turned shocked.

My guess was right, it was her phone. I still have hope.
