Eric's POV

I thought Angela was going to question me about Ayesha and lunch but no she didn't ask anything.

We both silently went to our master bedroom.

"Angela I…" I know she didn't ask but still, I wanted to explain.

"Erish!" She cut my word.

"Huh?" I felt hesitant.

She turned to me and looked at my eyes deeply. I couldn't read her eyes even when I tried to.

"You don't need to explain!" She spoke up while my eyes widened. My heart thumped in its place.

Her voice was still soft and filled with tenderness. She is still maintaining her calmness.

"Angela..!" I whispered her name with heaviness.

I don't know what to say. But the next moment, she smiled slightly and came closer to me.

Before I could utter, she hugged me tightly while resting her head on my chest. Her eyes were closed. Like she wanted to hear my heartbeats.

"Erish, I trust you! I trust you with my life!" Her words made my heart mash-up.

My eyes turned red while my lips pressed tightly. I didn't know what to say anymore. I forget words. I forget everything when I hear her statement.

Her trust scared me to the core because one day she will not trust me anymore.

"God! Please end this unbearable suffering!!"

"Why is this love so painful?"

"Why?"

"Erish!!!!" I heard Angela's panicked voice which looked at me with a worried face.

I met her eyes while she looked at me with worried.

"Erish! Why are you crying????" She touched my cheeks and warm tears were still coming down.

I don't know when I started to cry but seeing her in front of me. I just don't know how to feel. I love her! I love her so much that even her confession is causing me pain.

"Angela!" I said with painful eyes.

"Yes! Erish!" Her eyes filled with concern.

"I love you! I love you so much!! Please don't leave me!! No matter what happened!!!" I hugged her tightly and said those words.

Angela wrapped her arms around my waist tightly.

"I promise! No matter what happened! I will never leave you!!" Her soft words made my heart warm. Her words are always like medicine to me. But this lie started to scare me. Scared to lose my love! My Angela!

OFFICE

"Boss, you need to attend tonight's party!" John informed me but I directly refused him.

"John, just send someone to my place!" I added.

"But Boss it's an important event we can't send someone random to attend this! It's going to be news if you are not shown there!" John looked at me with seriousness.

I understand what he is trying to say but I don't want to attend it.

"Then just ask dad to go there!" I thought dad could go.

"Boss, Mr.Brooks is still out of town meeting some doctors!" John explained and I understood. Dad is trying to find the best doctor for Erish.

"Boss! I know you don't want to attend this meeting because of Ayesha but I think you should think one more time before refusing to go to this party." He said but my forehead is knitted.

John saw my reaction and sighed while continuing his explanation.

"There will be many international company leaders who are going to show. They will not like it if you send a random person to your place to talk to them. They feel neglected and it's not a good thing for our business reputation." John's words were right.

"If You attend this party it's going to benefit our company and you can talk about future projects with them and make good relationships. This is a great opportunity for all the companies. We also need to grab this opportunity! Before we lose to other competitors." He is right in his place. I knew that.

Each word was right but thinking about Ayesha I still feel like not attending it.

"Boss, Can you negotiate with Ayesha for a company?" John's eyes looked at me seriously. My face frowned and I looked at him coldly.

"John, you can go now! I already heard you!" I yelled.

John nodded and left without saying any more words. He knew, he already pissed me off.

I don't know how many hours I spent silently but when I checked the time it's already 4 pm.

I looked at the phone and dialled Ayesha's number.

As she picked up the call. I announced.

"Get ready and meet at the party!" I said and cut the call without waiting for her response.

I asked John to tell Angela about the party because I was too angry with myself. And don't know what to say to her.

In the evening, I attended the party with her and that was a hell of a time for me. Ayesha tried to approach me in front of everyone.

I already gave her a warning before entering the party but this woman still tried to play her chips in front of me.

Finally, two hours later, I left the party hall alone. I didn't want to see that woman anymore and felt disgusted.

As I came home, I saw Angela sitting on the couch and watching the news.

In the news, the parties inside footage and red carpet pictures and videos showing. But the next moment, my face frowned when I saw what next shown is my and Ayesha photage where we both hugged each other.

That was just a coincidence. She slipped her leg and fell on me. It was just a glitch but I don't know when someone took photos.

Damn it.

I turned to look at Angela who's eyes searched mine instantly. Her expression did not look so good. Her eyes told me this time I hurt her.

First I went to the party not with her but Ayesha and second, these photos in the news.

I didn't even inform her on my own that I'm going with Ayesha.
