Angela's POV

I was excited to show him my surprise but it's already late and there was no trace of him coming. Seeing that, I tried to reach him through call and text but it's unreachable.

I sat on the couch and thought about waiting patiently. With time one by one all the candles started blowing off. I looked at them with silence.

I rested my head on the edge of the couch. I don't remember when I fall asleep but when I'm almost awake. I heard Eric's apologies and then I realized he was already here and now I'm on our bed.

I wanted to smile and open my eyes but before that, I heard Ayesha's voice.

What is she doing here? I thought without opening my eyes.

And next moment I felt Erish get off the bed and go out of the room with Ayesha.

After there were no sounds of footsteps, I opened my eyes.

The unimaginable feeling surrounded my heart.

Did they both come together?

What were they doing in the office this late until now?

I don't want to doubt, but the way Ayesha behaved. I can't control my thoughts.

A few minutes later Erish come back and went to the washroom directly after taking the night clothes from the wardrobe.

I looked at the washroom door and thought, should I ask him what they talk about?

But the next moment shook that thought.

Erish comes out of the bathroom and reaches the bed.

After resting himself, he comes closer to me before landing a sweet kiss on my forehead.

"Good night!" He whispered and rested my head on his chest while placing his hand on my waist.

This man always made me speechless the way he showed his love to me.

I don't know Ayesha but I know my husband very well.

This thought made me smile and I felt easy again in my heart pushing by all thoughts.

"Good morning sweetheart!"

The next morning a familiar voice made my lips smile while his warm lips touched my forehead.

I know it's a morning kiss from him.

I opened my eyes slowly and met his lovely gaze while my lips already smiled to see his handsome face.

"Good morning!" I greeted him back while kissing his cheeks.

"Sorry for yesterday! I know you are disappointed because of me!" Erish eyes looking at me filled with guilt.

"Erish, let's not talk about yesterday! I know you didn't come late without reason! Don't blame yourself. I just prepared a surprise so we can spend some alone time together! But never mind! We can plan something better next time!" I explained to him while touching his one side cheek.

Yes, I was hurt but not after hearing his apology last night. I know he is more upset than me after coming back and seeing all the arrangements.

He touched my hand which was resting on his cheek.

"Thank you, Angela, for accepting my apology!" Erish eyes looked at me warmly while my stares softened.

Eric's POV

"This is the contract paper!" Ayesha put the papers in front of me.

My eyes found her arrogant smile like always before glanced at John who was standing beside my chair silently.

"Alright, my lawyer will read the whole contract and then I'll call you!" I looked at her with cold stares.

"Now, you may go!" I announced while averting my gaze from her.

I don't want to see her bitchy face too much.

"Eric, don't be too cold!"

"Don't forget! We were lovers!"

My eyebrows arched to hear her filthy words.

"Ayesha..!" I roared angrily.

But this woman still doesn't lose her courage.

"Oh come on! Isn't it true!" She chuckled.

I clenched my fist while holding my anger which was ready to burst out any second.

"How about we go for lunch together? You and me for some personal time!" Ayesha smirked while her eyes found me already glared at her coldly.

Before giving her a response, my eyes went to John.

"John, you can go!" I told him to leave.

John silently bowed respectively before leaving the cabin.

I moved my eyes again to Ayesha who was still arrogantly sitting in front of me.

"Ayesha, don't dare to talk about the past in front of me!" I warned her.

Ayesha rolled her eyes and then looked at me with an evil smile.

"Alright if you don't want to listen to my words then how about we make a deal?" Ayesha's words made my face frown.

"Let's go out for lunch together today and I promised, I'll never come to your office before your call!" Ayesha stared at me with a playful gaze.

I don't know what she's planning this time.

I looked at her eyes coldly, giving her a chilling feeling.

"What if I still do not accept this deal?" I don't believe her words at all.

"But I'm not joking!"

"I'm serious! Think about it!"

"You don't need to see my face, at least in the office! And we are going to be business partners! How can you reject your partner!" Her eyes playfully looked at me while a sarcastic smile always played on her lips.

"Alright!" If she truly means her words. I will just treat this lunch as wind. Where I'm just eating alone.

"Great then!" She exclaimed while standing from her place.

She looked at her watch and then at me.

"It's already lunchtime! We should go!" She announced.

Damn it. I don't know how many more days I need to tolerate her.

I stood from my chair and went to our usual restaurant on the first floor where a private cabin was already prepared by John.

Without glancing at her. I just completed my lunch while she is still eating her first dish.

"I'm done!" I announced.

She looked at me with a furious stare.

"You should eat! I'm leaving!" I stood up from my place but she held my arm.

"Eric, can't you sit until I complete my food!" Her eyes looked different from other times. Like she was begging me.

But I ignore it. She's just a fake woman who's using her acting to achieve her goal.

"No, as for our deal! We just need to eat lunch and I did it!" I coldly voiced out while pushing her hands from me.
