Eric's POV

I promised Angela for dinner but still, at last, I'm a little late coming back home. I hope she's not mad at me. I sighed and thought in my mind just grabbing my suitcase and closing the door of the car.

"Angela!" As I enter the home. I called her name. But there was no response.

Maybe she's in the bedroom?

Thinking that I went towards the living area and to my surprise, I heard Angela's laugh. My lips curled up to hear her precious laugh. It means she's here.

But what makes her laugh?

With curiosity, I followed her voice and found out that Angela is in the living room sitting on the couch facing me but to my surprise, she's not alone there. There is another woman with her back in front of me. They both were talking and laughing.

I think it's her friend Ella. She's a best friend of hers.

"Angela!" I smiled and moved towards her.

She raised her head and met my eyes.

"Erish!" Her smile becomes wide.

Seeing her beautiful smile. I moved towards her but suddenly the woman who was seated in the back turned her head and my eyes met Ayesha.

"You!" My body was stiff in my position. I couldn't move more steps while my eyebrows arch in a frown.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her with anger while her lips smirked with enjoyment to see my sudden reaction.

"What happened? Erish? Why are you angry?" Suddenly, Angela's voice got me back to my senses.

"Shit!! I forgot that Angela is also here!" I crushed myself.

I moved my eyes from Ayesha to Angela but her face was a little astonished looking at me.

Like waiting for me to explain to her my sudden reaction.

"Angela...I..!" I wanted to tell her something but before I could utter any words.

Ayesha stood up from the couch and ran towards me while hugging me tightly.

"Erish! I know, you will be surprised to see me here! Her voice was soft but it's full of disgust for me.

I looked at Angela who's still looking at me and then I heard Ayesha's whisper in my ears.

"Just play as I said if you don't want her to be suspicious!" Her words made my face gloomy. I clenched my fist tightly to hold back my anger.

I warned her but she still dared to come to my house and meet Angela. What's she thinking? I was furious but seeing Angela, I can only tolerate this woman for now.

So, I just played and hugged her back and plastered a fake wide smile even though it's completely hard for me.

"Yes, I thought you didn't have time to come home!" I responded while breaking the hugs and going towards my Angela.

I wrapped my arm around her waist and looked at the woman with a small smile.

Ayesha's face turned cold to see my action but her lips still maintained a proper smile on her face.

"Erish! I thought you were angry the way you just reacted before!" Angela's voice catches my attraction.

I looked at her.

"No! It's just like that! I was just surprised to see her here suddenly! She should inform me first, so I will come back early, not this late!" I moved my eyes to Ayesha and looked at her with a meaningful expression.

She looked at me with a sly smile.

"Sorry Erish, but after knowing that you got married. I can't help myself to meet your wife!"

"And I must say, your choice is truly good. She's too beautiful!" Ayesha's words look humble in front of Angela but for me, her arrival is not good news.

I can't accept her coming here to meet her only. I can sense there are some dirty tricks she's going to play and I need to find out.

"Thank you for appreciating my wife's beauty!" I gazed at Ayesha with warned eyes and then looked at Angela with a smile.

"Erish, let's sit! Ayesha is standing for a while! Her legs are going to hurt like this!" Angela said, peeking at Ayesha.

I nodded and we all went to the couch and sat on it.

"Ayesha, when did you come here?" I tried to look calm.

"It has been only an hour!" She responded while crossing her legs one above another.

"So, by this time you have already introduced yourself to my wife! Right?" My eyes deeply looked at her while she chuckled.

"Yes, that's true! We shared some personal details about you also! Like what we did abroad!" There is mockery hidden in her words.

"So, what do you talk about with Ayesha?" I softly asked Angela.

I don't trust Ayesha at all. I don't know what she talks about in my absence.

"Not too much, she told me she's your friend who lived abroad and just came here for her work on a new project with your company and some funny incidents related to you!" Angela explained while her face always lit up with a smile. I can sense she's having a great time with Ayesha.

It means everything is fine for now.

Ayesha looked at us with a fake generous smile.

She truly didn't change. She loves to play games interestingly before ending it. Now she's doing the same thing here but she can't win here.

"Erish! You never told me about Ayesha! You hid such a good friend from me!" Angela teasingly said while looking at me and then Ayesha.

"It's not like that!"

"I just thought, it's not that important and she's a busy businesswoman, that's why I never talk about her!" I smiled and looked at Angela.

Angela nodded but Ayesha's face turned gloomy.

"I think I should leave now! Erish! It's already late and it's nice to meet your wife Angela!" Ayesha stood up from the couch and held her clutch. I can feel anger in her voice.

"Yes, you should be tired!" I responded with a smirk but Angela's face looked a little hesitant.

"Miss Ayesha, you come to our home for the first time! At least stay for dinner!" Angela tried to convince her.

My face frowned but I can't stop Angela or she will get a suspension.

Ayesha slyly smiled and peeked at me for a second before looking at Angela.

"Thank you for asking but I need to go! I have some urgent matters! Maybe next time!" Ayesha responded.

"Alright! If it's important. I'm not going to make you stay but next time you need to have a meal with us!" Angela announced.

Ayesha chuckled and nodded.

"Yes, I'll!"

"Now, I leave!"

She finally departed from the home and I breathed heavily.

I know she's planning something big. It's not like she just came here for conversation.
