Angela's POV

The next day also passed and to my suspicions, Eric didn't show up. I checked out through the window where I could at least watch his car but the car was absent. I didn't see any cars coming or going outside the mansion. Which clearly makes the thing suspicious to me.

If Eric was in the house, it was already the fourth day passed and he didn't reach me at all, giving me wonder. And what about my phone? Didn't he get a call from my family or Ella anymore these past days? Why would he not bring the phone to let me talk to them? Didn't it make my family suspicious of me? And they would try to find me as soon as they got a sense of my missingness?

He can't take this big risk without any reason. It means two things. He gets another way to make my family stay relaxed or he is not in the home. That's why he can't bring my phone. I need to find the reason. But doesn't that mean Lara lied about Eric being at home? But why would she do that? I need to find a way to know the real truth behind Eric's suddenly being absent.

Because if he is not in the house, I'll not get the best opportunity to escape from here. But if all my calculations turned void. I need to think of something else to get out of here.

Whatever the reason, first let's try to find that.

In The Afternoon

"Mam, here is your lunch!" The maid serves lunch at the table for Angela.

Angela felt glad to see it was not Lara, as she can counter-check with another maid throwing the same question as she asked Lara last time.

If their answer matched she will get her answer.

"Thank you for sending the food on time…" Angels started the normal talking. Looked at her with a sweet smile.

"It's my duty madam to serve you!" The maid smiled back. As showed gratitude.

Angela nodded and brought out another question.

"Did you already send lunch to Eric or have you brought the meal to me first?" Angela tried to look calm but in reality, she was looking at the maid's expression deeply.

The maid felt a little hesitant before she shook her head in denial, "M-Mam, We serve both of you together."

"S-Sir is already eating his lunch at the dining table. While the other maid served him and I brought your food here."

She tried to show a fake plastered smile. But Angela could feel she was lying the way her fingers were tightly holding the tray in her hand and the way her expression turned nervous for a moment. It was just a flinch but she caught that moment as she was looking at her facial expression so deeply. To find one clause to make sure of her own calculation.

"Ohh I see!" Angela tried to show that she believed in her words and she could watch the maid's face turning quiet again.

"I should go now! " The maid responds.

Angela nodded in agreement as already got her answer. Now she will try the last thing to make everything confirmed for her. And for that Angela needs to wait until it's night.

With the passing hours, she got the right time also. It was dinner time when once again, the maid was going to come into her room to send the food.

She looked at the clock on the wall and guessed that it was time for the maid to come. And the very next moment she hears the sound of the door opening.

She turned to look at the door side and found it was Lara.

Lara gave a warm smile before entering the room while Angela did the same copying her smile.

"Madam, I have brought your dinner." The tray is in her hands.

"Thank you!" Angela thanked her while Lara served the food and asked her to enjoy her food and she turned to go back.

However, Angela stopped her before she could take steps outside the door.

"Lara, wait! where are you going?" Angela raised a question.

Hearing Angela, Lara turned and looked at her with confused eyes and responded, "Madam, do you need anything more? I just want to go to the kitchen and help with other house chores."

Angela can't let her go. Before executing her plan.

"Lara…" She went towards her and held her one hand.

Lara all can feel confused.

"Can you stay with me until I finish my food? I don't feel well today and don't want to eat the meal alone." Hearing her, Lara felt bad for Angela and nodded immediately to her.

"Madam, don't worry. I can stay with you!" Lara showed a bright smile, while Angela signed in her heart and smiled back the next later thanking her.

Angela starts eating while Lara sits on the couch with a warm smile on her face.

But soon her facial color changed when Angela suddenly told her she was not feeling while and wanted to puke.

Lara helped her to go to the bathroom. Angela told her to wait outside while she went inside and closed the door.

Angela tried to act like she was vomiting in the bathroom, to let Lara hear her voice.

Lara's face turned worried to hear her.

A few moments later, Angela just washed her face and misbehaved her hair a little before finally coming out. She wanted to look at her poor health in front of Lara.

As soon as the door opened, Lara hurriedly asked, "Madam are you alright?"

"Lara…" Angela tried to look weak. While Lara held her arms to support her to go and seat on the bed.

"I think my stomach is not feeling well," Angela explained.

Lara understood and told her to wait and she ran towards the door in a hurry without locking it.

Angela sighed and thought everything was going well.

A few seconds later Lara comes with another two maids.

Angela again adjusted herself to act.

"Madam, what happened?" One of them asked while Lara and another maid were nervous standing behind her.

"I…I don't feel well! Please ask Eric to come…" Angela played her role brilliantly.

"Sir?"

"Y-Yes!" Angela nodded.

All maids looked at each other's faces and Angela noticed that before started acting like her pain was getting high.

"Please call Eric! Didn't he in the study room? Call him!" She wrapped her arms around her belly.

All the maids felt nervous.

"Why are you not going?" Angela tried to pretend weakly.

"Madam, we will call Sir, but first you need to see a doctor!" One of them tried to coax her.

Angela knew they would do that.

"No! No need for the doctor! Tell Eric to come, I want to see him!"

"Ahhh!" This time she shouted in pain only to make them scared.

All maids felt the situation got worse. If something happens to her, Eric is going to punish them and if they tell the truth to Angela about his tour, he will still go mad at them.

"Why are you still standing?" Angela angrily shouted to let them know she was serious.

Lara can't take this thing anymore and come in front of her.

"Madam, Sir is not in the house! He just went outside a few hours ago!"

Hearing her, Everyone thought this was the right way to make Angela stop asking for Eric. So, they continue with lies.

"Yes, Lara is telling right!"

"Sir is not here for now. Please let us call the doctor and we will inform sir also about this."

Hearing them making lies like this, now she understood Eric is not in the house for the last four days. It means she can escape before he comes back.

After thinking that, she nodded to the maids in yes, "Alright!"

"Please do that!"

Hearing her they all get happy.

Lara helped Angela to adjust the bed. While the doctor comes for a checkup and tells them it's just a gastric. She needs to eat light food for a few days.

The maid nodded while the doctor left.
