Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Natasha's POV.

The next day Russeli arrived at my apartment and was let in by Sinead after I permitted him. I walked down the stairs, wearing a long black dress that sweeps the floor in every step I take and the look on Russeli's face pleased me.

This was one reason why I like dressing up, to get that his glowing eyes lustfully look at me, even when I won't let him touch me, this was like inward torture, but at the same time I get pleased from each ogling.

I flashed him a thin smile and sat down on the sofa across from him. "It has been a while since we sat together like this," I told him, but his eyes were still staring at me, I blushed and looked down, crossing my legs as I adjusted my hair.

"Yes, it has." I could see him licking down his lips from the corner of my eyes, which made me wonder what he was thinking at the time being.

I leaned back to the chair and my eyes bored into his, the air between us was tense, but I didn't want it to feel awkward, so I decided to speak up. "Are you angry because I treated your girlfriend that way?" I was curious to know what his thoughts were as of the other day. If he thinks i'm a rude b**ch or not.

"No." He shook his head and waved his hands in dismissal and it was without hesitation and deep down within my heart I was pleased, this made me realize something. "It is just for the music and you know what you want." He added.

I closed my eyes momentarily. "If maybe you are angry, I apologize." I made a little bow with my head.

"You don't have to." He told me with a gentle smile and I raised my head to look at him, now curious about more things, this was not only a chance to practice with him, I was also going to make him remember me, I was not going to give up on it.

"How long have you been with her, if I may ask." I pressed my lips together waiting for his response, hoping that I was not asking something I shouldn't ask, this should be considered as invading one's private life, so I picked up a notepad and flipped the pages, acting nonchalant while I waited for his response.

"She has been my friend for a while now." I looked at him when he said friend and not girlfriend or fiancée. "Four years to be precise." I raised my brow at him. "She is just a friend, nothing else." He added without hesitation.

I looked down at the notepad I was flipping and reading nothing in particular. "Hmm... I could agree with that since you have been with her for so long and still have no feelings whatsoever."

"I can't be in love with Yvonne." He told me and I saw his eyes staring at me intensely. "She has been just my business partner." He continued.

Was what they said about men true? That a man can lie about his current relationship when they meet someone they are attracted to. Was this what Russeli was doing right now? Or was this just my head making things up?

I put down the notepad and shook that thought away. "Well, that is not what we are here to discuss." I looked at him with a deep gaze and with seriousness, when it comes to working, I always want to give my full focus to it and not anything else at the moment. "About the hit song, we have to think of something."

"Yes, I have a..." His phone rang, cutting him short as he took it out and excused himself, before picking it up. "Hello." I heard him answer the call, so I took out my pen to put down new ideas I had gotten for the music.

"Right now?" I heard Russeli speak to the person on the other side of the line, his gaze flicked on me and he looked away again. "The maid." My eyes dilated when I heard this and I paused my lips and I could see his brow knit.

What was exactly going on, who was Russeli talking to? What maid were they talking about? Have I already been discovered, but by who?

All these questions run through my mind and I clench to the pen I was holding. Russeli looked at me and I forced a smile and looked down at the notepad. If this was Gilbert then all my plans would be ruined, if this was Yvonne, that could be worse. Russeli was the only one to find out, for the ill fate of the past to not repeat itself.

Immediately Russell dropped the call. I leaned back to my chair and spoke up, making sure not to sound too curious. "Who was that?"

He was silent for a while before his lips parted and I heard him speak. "It is my friend Dominic." The name didn't ring a bell to me, so I couldn't tell who it might be. "He returned recently from Canada after he left this country four years ago."

I was relieved after hearing this, this was not something or someone I should be worried about, it was a relief since that person had not been here when all this mess happened. "Okay, send my greetings to him. " I put down something on the notepad and paused as I looked up at him.

"I thought I heard you both have something to discuss, you are free to go." He wanted to protest, but I shut the notepad. "We should meet later, it must be important to you." I flashed him an assuring smile,

I could see that he was eager to leave, but was holding back because of me, and I needed time to think of what my next plan would be, and also to gather myself up and not let my heart control my head.

"You can go, I will call you some other time." I got up and walked upstairs, soon after I heard the front door open and shut. I closed my eyes, rubbing my hands on my forehead.

Should I just tell him that I was the maid at their mansion, should I spill everything out? But that would make no sense, he may not believe me, or he would think I am lying. Natasha Wilbur, a maid? That will be so unbelievable, especially now he doesn't have any memory of me.

My phone rang and I picked it up when I saw the caller ID. "Gavin." I walked over to the couch and sat down as I stared out of the window, waiting to hear why he called.

"Natasha, I have sent the package over to you." He said in a hushed voice, I know it seems to be against his wish to do this for me, but he was doing it because I asked for his favour. "These are all the details I could gather."

"Thank you, Gavin," I said softly, I knew he had gone through a hard spot to get them for me, plus his inner struggle.

"You would get surprised by something in there, but don't get too overwhelmed." He warned me and then a long silence passed through us before he said goodbye and promised to call me later.

After dropping the call I heard a knock on my room door as Sinead stepped in with a small box. "Miss Natasha, there is a package for you." I took it from Sinead and flashed him a weak smile.

"Thank you, you may leave now." He nodded and left the room, shutting the door after him. I took the box to my desk and stared at it for a long time before opening it. It was like I had to protect my heart with a strong shield, just like Gavin had warned me.

I open it up and saw few files and then a flash drive, I glance through the files but was more curious as to what I could see in the flash drive, so I plugged it into my laptop and opened the file, it was a video so I clicked on it and my eyes dilated as I gasped, clasping my hand to my lips in horror.
