Chapter 76: Chapter 76

Chapter 75

Limesville 2

Despite her drowning deeply in their warm erotic kiss, she still managed to push him away when she felt another presence in the room.

It was the chef who brought in another bottle of wine. Noticing the atmosphere in the room, he quietly placed the bottle on the already set table and quickly made himself invisible again.

Alex did not let go of Lara, instead he had his hands on her shoulders, to keep her in place, just in case she decided to keep some distance between them like she always does when they were around other people.

"I can't believe you are still shy with other people in the room. They already know that we are fucking, you know?" Alex said bluntly.

She slapped his chest. "Shit! Don't say it like that." She said shyly.

"But it's the plain truth." He argued.

"Shut up." She playfully pumped him with her fist. Her cheeks turned red instantaneously.

"Did you miss me?" He raised her chin with his finger and asked in a serious tone, secretly admiring her conspicuous flushing blush.

She smiled sweetly. "I can't believe I actually missed you and your unfiltered words." She replied.

He chuckled and captured her lips once more.

It was just a brief kiss because he began feeling his Lil man raising, wanting to be noticed too.

"We'd better eat, or else all your efforts to impress me would be in vain." Alex teased.

"What? Impress you?" Lara asked in bewilderment.

Both of them took their seats at the table, with Alex sitting at the head and Lara by his right hand.

"What did you not hear right?" Alex taunted as he stretched his hand and reached for the already filled glass of juice.

"Firstly, I did not do this to impress you…" she scuffed.

"Ok? So are you trying to bribe me or cajole me to do something for you…"

"What, no… that's not even…"

" Oh! you want me to eat and have enough energy to handle you huh?" Alex winked.

"Not really, I meant to…."

"Oh, not really? It means I ain't wrong though?" Alex kept on interrupting her without giving her room to speak out her mind.

He loved the look of confusion and embarrassment on her face.

"Ok, that's completely insane, I am not even…"

"You are not sure how to tell me?" He did it again. A sinister smile spread out on his face. He loved the torture.

"No.. I…"

"You what?" He raised his brows and stared at her.

He watched her face quickly switch from confusion to astonishment to slight anger. She furrowed her brows and leaned towards him. "If you dare interrupt me again, I swear I'll…"

"You'll what?" He cut in, a bright smile spread out on his face. When he saw how pissed off she was, he instead chuckled softly.

She held her lips together and the finger she had pointed towards him, remained suspended like that in air. She breathed in a sigh of exasperation.

Staring at her countenance, Alex couldn't help but laugh.

His laughter pissed her off even more. She reached out and got hold of his plate of food. Before he could comprehend the entire situation, a full plate of food was smashed across his face.

Luckily, the food wasn't spicy. He held his breath and remained frozen as bits of the now ruined meal slid down his face. The room was dead silent, Lara's action completely killed his laughter instantaneously.

He gently reached for a napkin and began wiping his face.

When he had wiped a good portion around his eye and could now see her clearly, her face was stone cold, expressionless. At that moment, he knew that he had gone too far.

But honestly, he couldn't shake off the fact that she'd been a lot more emotional than she'd ever been… well they'd been together for barely 5 months. Nevertheless, he made a mental note to be more careful.

The meal did not go as planned, they both ate in silence for the greater part of the meal.

Alex would occasionally steal glances at her, hoping that her countenance would soften, but it never did.

A pinch of guilt swept through him, he only intended to tease her and not piss her off.

"Hey, I'm sorry, babe." He finally broke the ice.

Lara stayed silent.

He reached out and gently got hold of her hand before she could scoop the next spoon.

He gently freed the spoon from her hand, raised it to his mouth and planted a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

This action caught her attention. She stared at him, at least, with a softer gaze.

"I'm sorry, My love." He repeated his apology, while still planting tender kisses on her hand, with his eyes locked to hers.

"I did not mean to piss you off… well just a tiny little bit." He used his index finger and thumb, bringing them together, to illustrate how tiny he meant.

She furrowed her temple slightly. 'Who apologizes like this?' she thought.

"Can you please not give the silent treatment?" He asked sorrowfully.

"I thought you were trying to apologize here." She finally said.

He smiled, " I already did." He said proudly.

She rolled her eyes at the level of confidence, "by admitting to intentionally wanting to get me vexed up?"

"Vex is a strong word," he argued. "I only wanted to see you frown a little, now I regret it. I only want your smiling face." He began sucking her soft fingers slowly.

She felt that familiar electric wave shoot through her body as soon as he dipped her fingers in his warm mouth.

She smiled, you are terrible at apologizing, you know." She giggled softly when he twirled his tongue around the tip of her middle finger. It sent tingles throughout her body.

"Apologizing was never my fort, but I'm getting a hang of it thanks to you." He smiled.

She pulled her hand away from him. "Go change your clothes, you look and smell terrible with all that food spilt on you." She said out of a sudden.

"Thanks to a certain someone who…" he held his tongue and swallowed his words.

"Who what?" She raised her brows questioningly.

"Who is just too beautiful." He lied stupidly again. He was actually gonna say; 'she had mood swing issues,' but quickly realized how offensive it sounded and it could lead him to having to take numerous cold showers.

He quickly dashed out of the room before she could call him out for lying. He knew how lame his excuse sounded and he knew that she was damn smart and could easily see through his lie.
