Chapter 12: Chapter 12

Leila POV.

"Come on, let us go back to the ball," Aurora said as she grabbed my hand.

I knew that I had to remain silent and not ruin her new happy mood by claiming that I wanted to use the bathroom. I guess I had to remain silent.

"Girl, wish you are my best friend. I don't have a friend in this big palace," she said as we walked into the washroom.

"I thought that we are going back to the ball?" I asked since at the moment, I really didn't understand her.

"We wee both walking on the hallway and in a particular direction which only leads to the washroom so I guessed that you wanted to use the washroom. I too needed to," she said and winked me making me laugh out loud.

"Okay, let's hurry up then go back to the hall. I am sure that my sister is looking for me since I have taken sometimes," I said

"Fine," she said as she turned around.

Everything looked luxurious and I felt envious of the richness. I wonder whether I would get a chance to be coming here if my mate is a lycan.

After some minutes, I was done and I walked out. I was washing my hands when I saw Aurora coming to the sink next to me.

"So you have a sister?" she asked as we walked out of the washrooms and I raised her eyebrows.

"So you have a big brother?" I asked and I heard her chuckle.

"I will take that as a yes. Girl, I am so envious of you. At least you have a girl to share things with. I can't share anything with my brother because of his over protectiveness," she said and I tried to see how my life with a brother would have been.

When I remembered how Marcus is always overprotective over me, I understood her instantly.

"I know the feeling. My sister's mate is always overprotective when it comes to me," I said while groaning.

"I can't wait to see my brother's mate. You know, he set this ball so that he could meet his mates family. He told me that she doesn't know who he really is but he knew that she was a daughter of a high ups in a pack," she said and I got curious instantly.

"Which pack?" I asked trying my best not to sound so eager.

"Don't ask me which pack cause I really don't know. He refused to tell me," she said making me feel disappointed.

"Why are you so disappointed?" she asked and I turned only to see her looking at me weirdly. "Don't tell me that you have a crush on my brother."

"What no! I have never even seen your brother so how can I have a crush on him?" I asked.

"Then why did you look sad after I told you about what he said?" she asked.

"Well, I met my second mate yesterday...."

"What do you mean by second mate?" she asked when she interrupted me.

"Okay, I had a mate but he rejected me because I was wolfless but after he rejected me, I later my wolf and at the same day, I transformed, I got a second mate," I explained.

I knew she was kind of shocked because of her expression. There was also pity but I shrugged since I got the best later on.

"I am really sorry that you had to go through that," She said.

"There is no need for you to say sorry and it wasn't your fault. I am fine," I said with a reassuring smile.

"Ehem, sorry for interrupting you. You may now continue," she said making me roll my eyes.

"I saw him, we spent time together but at the end of the day, I forgot to ask him what was his name or which pack he belongs to," I said.

"Isn't he from your pack?"

"I guess not. I am a beta's daughter so I know most people in our pack and I had never seen that face. My sister and brother-in-law claim that he is lycan," I explained.

"Why?"

"Because we meet at the open area, the hill and there is a sea below. The place is between the lycan territory and our pack, the Black Moon Pack," I said.

"Wait, what did you just say? You guys met yesterday? At the hills?"

"Yeah, why the face?" I asked cause she looked shocked.

"I am just happy that you will come to live here. At least the moon goddess took pity on me and mated you with a lycan so that you can be near me. My new best friend," she said as she hugged me making me laugh out loud.

"I wish I could see him again. Will all the lycans be present?" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah, you don't need to worry about that. I am 100% sure that you will see him," she said making me feel that she already knew who my mate was but didn't want to tell me but I later shook it off since I don't think that she knows everything that goes on in here cause the kingdom is so huge and full of lycans.

"Okay, come let me go and introduce you to my family," i said as I dragged her to our table when we got in the hall.

"Fine," she said.

I saw a lot of people were looking at us and even making ways for us when they were in the way without even waiting for me to ask to be excused. Maybe this is the effect of been the princess of the kingdom and many people knowing her.

"Look there is the person whom you are so worried about and here you are just blaming me for everything," I heard Marcus say as we got to the table making me roll my eyes.

"Where have you been, Leila?" Elana asked immediately as she stood up to look if I had any new injury.

This has always been a routine since what took place two years ago. Everyone knew that the attackers wanted to kidnap me or better yet, dead but mom protected me with her life.

"I am fine, Elena, I don't have any new injury," I assured her and I had her sigh with relief.

"Who is she?' she asked when she realised that I wasn't alone.

"She...."

"Shit Leila, don't tell us that you have always preferred ladies to men," Marcus asked without taking his eyes from Aurora.

I opened my mouth to talk but was interrupted by Elena.

"Is it true? Is she your second mate?" she asked making me face slapped myself.

I later heard a chuckle from Aurora making us all turn our head to her direction.

"Leila, you really got a funny family. I think I can never get bored in there company and because of that, I am crashing for the celebration. I will be sitting together with you guys. Its a pleasure to meet you all," she said as she sat down.

"Aurora, you can't be serious, you aren't helping me at all here. Instead, you are making things worse," I said with a sigh at her childishness.

" I don't care, that's your problem to solve," she said.

I felt my wolf becoming restless.

"What is it?"

"Mate, mate," she said making me look around the hall forgetting that I had my family waiting for my answer.
