After the call ended, I decided to go back soon. I was quite upset with everything, and I remembered how good those muffins were just when I reached here. I didn’t even praise her. It is so bad of me, right?

Well, I never really cared about anyone so it is quite difficult for me, to know what small things I don’t even notice, would make her sad or maybe slowly unlove me. Yes, I am scared to lose her because that ‘I Love You’ wasn’t fake or on impulse. I spoke it after thinking for hours.

She was so happy when she said ‘thank you’ to me. Maybe she was expecting me to praise her… and I didn’t. Well, I am gonna try my best to pay attention to these details, but I am not the caring type cause I never cared for anyone but me.

“How can you tell me that you can’t get the deal?” I confronted him. “How dare you say that?”

“Boss, we tried…”

“Fuck. You still are telling me that you can’t get it?”

“Boss, we really can’t. It doesn't have that much potential that was pay a billion dollars for it”

“So now you are gonna decide the potential of a deal? Have you forgotten who the boss is here?”

“No, we haven’t, boss. But this deal is gonna be a big loss and as your right-hand man, it was my duty to warn you. The final decision is of course up to you”

I nodded. “Yes. And the final decision is that we are taking the deal”

“Alright, boss”

I walked out and met with my other client.

After the deal was finalized, I shook hands with Mr. Raynez.

“It is a pleasure working with you, Mr. Smith!”

“You too, Mr. Raynez”

He smiled and I returned the professional smile. “By the way, Mr. Smith. I am sure you are gonna take up the deal of Mr. Adams?”

“Ah well, that decision is still not confirmed”

“Oh alright!”

“Why’d you ask?”

“Oh, I just wanted to go on your track cause who knows about good and bad deals better than you? But anyway, I will think on my own!”

“Oh yeah alright. It depends on the individual business, Mr. Raynez. You are taking the risk of 1 billion dollars. You have to understand that you can totally use the money and gain nothing. If you are just okay with it, then you can take the deal. This is a big risk too”

“Oh, thanks for the insight, Mr. Smith! It will definitely help me!”

I smiled.

“Okay, then I am leaving now. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Smith!”

“Likewise, Mr. Raynez”

I accompanied him out of the place. This was my office. This is where I talk about my Mafia business.

Mr. Raynez is a big player in the Mafia industry. He owns the second biggest Mafia business but because of his good nature, he is probably gonna lose it all to someone like Mr. Adams real soon.

Mr. Adams. The deal that he had made has got every big Mafia business in deep thoughts.

His deal is straight- pay 1 billion dollars upfront and take 40% share of whatever he earns. He has a really good reputation for being a non-corrupt Mafia boss. He owns the third-largest Mafia business, but his business has just been started a few months back and the chart of his growth is far better than any Mafia in history… proving he has a big potential.

But it is potential. We don’t know if he really will grow or fall back. That is the risk.

He is in need of some money to help in the growth, and so he is ready to give 40% share for the company that will sign the deal first, followed by 20% with the other one. The other one will pay 50 million dollars in that case.

I can never settle for less. If I am gonna take the risk, it is gonna be big.

I sighed and went back. I passed through every man once again to make sure that none had any problem with anything. I met with David.

“So, we are accepting the deal. Don’t doubt it again”

“Alright, boss”

I nodded and went out. David has always been by my side and I actually trust his decisions but sometimes I think maybe he is not the one to take risks and I love taking risks… and that is where our interests and opinions don’t meet.

Well, I went to my car and started driving back. I had one more thing to do, but I really wanna spend some time with Ashy. These all things can wait.

I reached home and saw the time. It was 9:45 AM. We had to leave by 2 PM. Does she remember it? Cause I actually almost forgot about it.

I saw her sitting on the sofa in the living room. I went to her.

She looked at me and stood up. “Hey!”

“Hey Ashy”

She smiled. “You know, I was missing you”

“Oh well, I missed you too”

“Really!?”

“Yup”

She smiled again. “Woah! I am happy!”

“Ah, why are you so excited and happy about such small things?”

“Because these things give me so much happiness. And also… I am excited about our trip!”

I smiled. Of course, she remembers. She is so excited about it after all.

“Yeah, Ashy”

“Well, I just packed everything. Although I need you to tell me if you need something else than the essentials I packed”

“Ah no. Just take as few things as you can, because you know, we can just buy whatever we want”

“Oh yeah, you are so rich, who am I talking to!”

I took her hand. “I think you meant, ‘we’ are so rich”

She looked at me with love-filled eyes.

“I don’t regret getting kidnapped, Vincent cause someone has finally accepted me”
