Chapter 8: Chapter 8

"Were you two going to kiss?" Silvi asked with a small smile. Karin turned her head quickly at that, but then she immediately shook her head.

"Your relationship is really unusual, but I can feel there is a bond between you," said Silvi again.

'Don't talk nonsense. There is no bond between us. We don't like each other because there is a problem between us,' Karin wrote with annoying face.

Karin was sitting alone in the living room of Vian's house. She took a deep breath. Before long, she stood up and looked out the window. Outside, it was getting dark.

"Why? Did you miss your home?" Vian scolded who had just entered the room. Karin nodded.

"I'm getting better. Of course I want to go home soon," said Karin who could speak normally.

"Sit down!" Vian ordered while grabbing and guiding Karin back to her seat. Karin looked at Vian not understanding. Vian cupped Karin's face and looked at her lips.

"That's right. You're healed," he said. He then slowly touched Karin's lips. Silvi who entered the room cleared her throat for a moment.

"Can we go out now or wait for the two of you to make out first?" She asked.

"We do not ...."

Karin's words were cut off when Vian pulled her hand up to stand up.

"Come on!"

Silvi smiled broadly and took Karin's jacket draped over the chair.

Sparkling fireworks seemed to decorate the night sky that looked bright with a full moon and hundreds of stars. The boisterous sound of firecrackers also accompanies. Karin and Silvi also played with fireworks while run. Their laughter grew cheerful. Vian then also joined them.

Karin's breath hitched and she sat down in the meadow of the place. Vian then also sat beside him. Karin turned around.

"What is this? What are you celebrating?" he asked.

"You are healthy and will be home soon."

"What?" Vian's voice couldn't be heard clearly because of the noise around them.

"Today is your last night in this house. I made this event for that," said that man later.

"Are you celebrating my return?"

"Right." Vian held his chin and lifted Karin's face to look directly at him.

"But don't expect you to get away from me. Revenge will never end."

Karin just stared silently. Silvi, who was sitting not far from them, just smiled. She then saw something.

"Shooting star!" She pointed.

"Karin, let's make a wish!"

Karin averted her gaze from Vian. She then folded her arms and closed her eyes to make a wish to a shooting star.

'What did she ask for? Could it be that she expects me harm in order to be free from me?' Vian asked as he continued to stare at Karin.

Karin opened her eyes with a smile on her face. She turned and was stunned for a moment to see Vian who was looking at her.

"What are you asking for?" asked that girl after a while. He became uncomfortable because Vian kept staring. That's why she then asked.

"What are you asking yourself? Vian asked back.

"Secret," said Karin with a small smile.

"People say, if you tell someone your wish for a shooting star, it won't come true."

"Then I won't tell you my request either," said Vian. Karin just nodded. Vian stood up and lit fireworks. He then looked at Karin.

"You don't have to wait for a shooting star to ask for something. These fireworks can do that too. You can ask for as much as you want," he said.

Silvi sat beside Karin. They are in the room now. The fireworks display was over and now they were going to sleep.

"I think Vian is very good. He is also very romantic. He treats you so special," said Silvi.

"No, our relationship is not what you think," Karin said.

"So what's your relationship like?" Silvi asked while looking at Karin with a curious expression.

"Never mind, let's just sleep, I'm really tired," Karin said as she lay down and closed her eyes.

Silvi certainly didn't take Karin's answer for granted. Her curiosity was too great. She shook her friend's body.

"Tell me, what relationship do you guys have? Tell me, Karin!"

Even though Silvi kept asking repeatedly, Karin remained silent and closed her eyes.

"Karin, tell me, otherwise I won't be able to sleep because I'm too curious!"

***

Karin opened her eyes and sat looking at Silvi. She smiled slightly, shaking her head. Her friend said she couldn't sleep. But apparently she had fallen asleep.

Karin got up to get out of bed and out of the room. She was stunned when he saw Vian standing by the window and looking out.

Not wanting to disturb, Karin then walked slowly and returned to the room. Vian turned his head when the door to Karin's room closed. He smiled and looked out of the window again.

Karin and Silvi have returned to their home. Silvi immediately hugged the pillow on the sofa.

"My dear, left for a few days it turns out that you are not lost. My house is also still intact," she said in a touched tone.

"So funny, who's going to destroy this house and steal the pillows?" Karin asked, shaking her head. Sometimes Silvi does act too much like that.

Silvi laughed wryly.

"It might happen like in action movies."

She then stood up and pulled Karin to sit with her on the sofa.

"I know why you are acting like this. You must not be willing to part with Vian."

Karin just shook her head.

"You should have just said it and let me go home alone," said Silvi.

"Your thinking is wrong. I already told you, my relationship with Vian is not like that," said Karin.

"Then tell me what your relationship is!"

Karin just smiled and walked towards the room.

"Karin, tell me, what's your relationship? You always say that. Tell me, don't make me curious!" Silvi exclaimed. Karin stopped walking and just turned around with a smile. She then walked back to the room.

"Karin!" Silvi snapped.

Edwin was working in the office. But not once did he feel calm. The image of Karin's figure always appears there. He sighed. Because of his stupidity, now he can't even see that girl every day like before.

Edwin closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. His memories flashed when he and Karin chatted, had lunch, or worked on a project together. They also sometimes joke and laugh together. Celebrating the success of the project is also together. So many memories of him and Karin. It seemed that Edwin would not be able to work in this place if Karin was no longer there as she is now.

Edwin's eyes opened. He then quickly got up from his seat. He couldn't just sit back and let Karin not come back. He had to bring that girl back to work again in that place. Edwin hurried over to the door and opened it. He then met Anna who was standing in front of the door.
