Chapter 11: Chapter 11
I was thinking of how and when should I asked Celine to accompany me to the concert tomorrow. I know the group will be going but I thought it would be nice if she knows I wanted to be just with her. Ugh! How was this even hard!?
I texted Wren to asked for some tips. I'm that stupid.
M: Wreeeeen..
W: Sup loser?
M: How will I asked Celine? I mean, I know she'll go..
W: You're really stressing this out Max? lol
M: Dont lol me Wren Andrea
W: Just chat her okay? if you wanted to do it in a video call, go. You only have time tonight coz
its already 11. Hope she's not asleep yet.
I immediately panicked at the thought of this. I instinctively chatted Celine without
knowing if she'll reply or what.
M: Will you go with me for the concert tomorrow?
I locked my phone not waiting for something but hoping for her to say yes. Then, my
phone beep.
C: Sure. See you Max :)
I smile widely when I read the message. It'll be a long and fun day tomorrow. I can't wait.

I woke up early to prepare for the day. After I ate my breakfast, I searched for something nice in my closet to find nothing but then settled with a simple skirt and tank top. I arrived at the school grounds at exactly 6 pm, seeing the group on our hangout. Celine's facing her back to me.
All students should go in pair so our group was composed of Wren and Jack, Annie and Gideon, Sue and her boyfriend, Jane and Cris and I with Celine.
I tap her shoulder and she looked at me up and down and gives me a smile. She's wearing a gray fitted dress that hugged her curves. She does her hair in a ponytail which showed more of her features. I mentally gawked at her. How can this girl be so pretty?
"Looks like we're complete" Gideon said grabbing Annie's arm
"Hey, I am the one who supposed to be holding your arm, I'm the girl here" Annie pinch Gideon's arm
"Ann, you both have the feminine side just deal with it" Jack commented, he and Annie
were friends before we all meet.
"Thanks Jack" Gideon said in a flirt tone to Jack we all laughed as Jack hide in Wren's
arm. "Babeee, help!" He shouted, Wren just slap his arm and glare at Gideon in a playful manner.
As the laughter died down, we all walked toward the auditorium. "You looked beautiful" I said to her as we walked hand in hand to the auditorium for the concert. She looked away but I had seen her blushed already, I smile at that.
"So are you" she replied. "For sure you'll attract somebody tonight, but don’t ditch me,
yeah?"
I shook my head and laughed; little did she know she's the one I'm trying to impress. "I won’t. And i don't want to attract anyone... just you" I said the last part quietly. "What'd you say?" She asked probably not hearing what i said. I shook my head no and she just shrugged.
The concert was a mixture of love, rock and pop songs. The students had been jumping
up and down, swaying to the beat. Vibrant lights added more color to the exciting atmosphere. I watched Celine as she sang along the band, though the crowd had gone wild, I can hear her voice and it was so addicting. Everything comes in slow motion as I watched her close her eyes and feel the tune of the music. Her lashes flickered through the lights and she has a small smile in her face. I instinctively grab her hand; I don’t know why but i feel like it.
I pretended to face the band while I still hold her hand. I could see her in my peripheral vision that she looked down our intertwined hands and squeeze my hand this cause me to looked at her, she also looked at me and we smile.
At that moment I can feel butterflies in my stomach and it seemed like I am floating in
the cloud. My heart beats faster than usual. I don’t know but this, makes me genuinely happy.

As soon as the concert was soon to end, I excuse myself to them and grabbed Celine out
of the crowd. I dragged her in the vacant seat near the garden. It’s almost time. If we're still in the auditorium we can't fully watch this.
"Why are we here?" she asked still panting, thankfully we didn’t trip on our way her.
"I just want you to see it here clearly"
"See wha--" she was interrupted by the sound "Wowww..." the fireworks danced in the sky showing different colors and shapes.
"It’s beautiful" Celine said still looking at the sky, mesmerized.
"Yes, it’s beautiful" I said while looking at her, she seemed so cute. The color of the fireworks reflects through her eyes.

Celine's POV
"Yes, it’s beautiful" Maxine replied but I can see her looking at me. I was still looking at
the sky and I didn't want to face her in this state because I can feel my face reddened at her remarks. But wait, she's referring to the fireworks, right? not me. But she's looking at you. Yes but... Why am I talking to myself??
I finally glanced at her and she suddenly looked away. Aww she's so cute. I take her in. Her hair was falling to her shoulders that some were blown by the wind. Her small eyes twinkle and by this side view, her nose are just to die for. These past months had been my happiest, it’s because of the university i am in, the friends that I have now, being away from my parents and this specific person whom i became so intrigued the day I saw her in the room.
The fireworks came to an end then the band continues. We stayed still, just feeling the breeze of the wind. I put my hands to the side grazing her hands. Bolts of electricity came through my system with that simple touch. I instantly looked at her and was surprised to meet her eyes.
Does that mean she felt it too? Am I not the only one having these unexplained feelings??
"I think we should head back. They might think I kidnapped you." she said giggling and
stood up. I followed but I feel my leg cramped and the next thing I know I was in Maxine's arms.
We were looking at each other's eyes, not saying anything. It’s as if time had stopped. I
could feel her breath on my face which made goosebumps appear all over my body. My attention goes down at her lips as she bit it and looked again at my eyes. I swallow the lump on my throat just seeing her bite her lips which made the atmosphere hot all of a sudden. I instinctively caress her cheeks and she blushed. That's when we both got back our senses. She helped me up and we looked anywhere but each other’s eyes.
WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN???
