Chapter 235: Chapter 235

The goalkeeper still had his dream control feature deactivated so he didn't get any training last night but that was okay since he slept later than usual.

He pulled the white blanket off his body and put on one of his casual sports outfits before putting on his running boots and making his way downstairs.

"Our first competitive match of the season will be on Monday against Spree City, so it's back to business." He muttered before he opened the door and made his way outside.

'That match doesn't really hold any value to me competition wise but beating Supreme United will be nice.' The goalkeeper said subconsciously as he walked down to the road.

'We were able to hold Manchester United and Real Sociedad down to a draw and defeated Wolfsburg so yeah, I think we can beat them.' He replied.

"Yeah," Dave muttered before taking off.

After about an hour and some minutes, the goalkeeper could be seen sitting somewhere in the woods breathing heavily.

"What the heck was I thinking trying to complete fifteen kilometers without taking any break?"

'Yeah, but look at me now.'

[ 17% stamina remaining ]

'Yeah, I'll have to walk fifteen kilometers back.'

[ +2 stat points added to all stats including Energy ]

'Somehow, I just feel like that isn't enough.'

'Yeah, I have been ignoring it, but what's your point?'

'I know Endurance is good for things like getting hit or tackled in a really bad way but how does it help with stamina.'

'Oh, I get it now, I've been so fixated on dexterity, stamina, and getting faster that I completely overlooked endurance and how I could get so much better with it, I think it's time to start giving it some attention.'

[ Unused stat points: 0 ]

'But that will have to wait, I'm out of stat points.'

'Got it, strength is also useful in a lot of ways, I've been neglecting that one too.' He said subconsciously before getting up from where he was sitting. 'It's time to start heading back.'

Emma had gotten up quite a while ago and had even finished making breakfast and setting up the table but her husband wasn't back yet.

She would have called him to check on him but he didn't go out with his phone and she was starting to get worried.

"What could be taking him so long? He just got back and can't even take a day off." She said before making her way to the kitchen.

She opened the freezer and was about to pick one of the bottled waters there when she felt a wave of nausea sweep over her.

She quickly made her way to the back door in the kitchen and pushed it open before falling on her knees to let out what that nauseous feeling had pushed out from her stomach.

"I thought this had already stopped two days ago." She said before cleaning her mouth with the back of her head. "And now my head feels so heavy and my body."

She slowly got up from the floor and closed the door before making her way back to the fridge.

She picked up two bottles of water and made her way to the dining area to drop them on the table, after that, she turned her gaze to the wall clock to see that the time was 7:42 AM.

"I should go get ready for work, he'll come back anyway."

She wanted to head toward the staircase but her body led her toward the couch and before she knew it, she crashed down on the couch and slowly closed her eyes.

"What is wrong with me? I can't go to work late or Miss. Nelly will say that I am taking advantage of the privilege she's been giving me." She muttered before slowly opening her eyes.

It was quite a battle with her body, but she managed to get up from the couch.

"What the heck is wrong with me?" She said with a weak voice as she made her way toward the staircase. "I just hope Dave gets back soon."

Going up the staircase was quite tough but she managed to get there, however, that required a lot of energy from her and she was panting now.

"At this rate, I'll never be able to make it on time." She said to herself. "No, I have to try, I can't arrive late for work."

She made her way into the room and instead of heading toward her wardrobe, she made her way to the bed and crashed down on it.

"I just woke up, why do I feel so tired?" She muttered. "Maybe I'll be okay if I just get a little more shut-eye." She added before finally giving in to her body.

"Just a few minutes." She said before slowly closing her eyes.
