Chapter 1618: Chapter 1618

Miss Fourth and the others were thrown out and found themselves back at Cliff Mountain, astonished by the divine powers of that person. Elder Sun shouted, "Lead the way!"

Miss Fourth hurriedly led the way, and they soon returned to the valley where the Guardian resided. The valley was in complete disarray! The houses constructed from Spirit Jade ore were scattered about, and the ground was covered with terrifyingly large pits. The monument inscribed with "Guardians of the World" had been shattered into dozens of pieces, littering the valley.

It was clear that they had suffered a catastrophe!

The central house had been uprooted, revealing a deep hole in the ground. Miss Fourth rushed to the edge and looked down, exclaiming angrily, "The Divine Tower is gone!"

"The three elders and the other Disciplinary Officers have disappeared!"

Elder Sun was already behind her: "They were eaten."

"Huh?" Miss Fourth was puzzled. Elder Sun raised his sleeve once more, taking in the bewildered Miss Fourth. Elder Sun then released Brother, who had shrunk back to the size of a little loach, still lazily lying on Elder Brother’s palm.

This fellow was becoming more and more brazen. When there was delicious food, he could perform all kinds of tricks for Elder Brother. When there was none... he was listless doing anything.

Elder Brother asked if he could follow the Heavenly Guidance Connection in reverse to find the whereabouts of the Divine Tower. Brother lazily shook his head, saying it was impossible as it had already been severed.

Elder Brother continued to interrogate him, but Brother responded that he couldn’t do it and asked not to be pressured, claiming he was too hungry to argue.

Elder Sun initially wanted to claim the Divine Tower for himself, but he clenched his teeth and made a promise to Brother: If they found the Divine Tower, he would let him eat it.

Brother had eaten it, but it would still be considered as belonging to Elder Sun! In any case, it couldn’t fall into that old thief’s hands!

Brother suddenly perked up: "Elder Brother, do you really mean it? That thing is extremely precious. Although I trust your character, what if you cannot resist temptation and change your mind at the last moment? I can’t just go and complain to Alexia, can I?"

Elder Brother swore to the heavens that he would never go back on his word. Only then did Brother let out a sigh of relief, raising his two whiskers, appearing to be searching for traces in the void.

Elder Sun patiently refrained from urging him, guessing that since Brother could easily sever the Heavenly Guidance Connection, he could probably detect traces of it as well.

Brother never disappointed him. With the irresistible temptation of exquisite food, his small eyes emitted circles of golden light! After waiting for about the time it took to burn a stick of incense, Brother finally pointed his whiskers in a certain direction, as if pointing a sword at an enemy general: Pursue!

Elder Brother leaped up hundreds of feet, his body making an almost right-angle turn in the air with a loud "bang," and he sped through the skies in pursuit.

Brother continued to change direction during the chase. Many people in the northern Central State heard the rumbling in the sky that day but were unaware of what was happening.

The Protectors of these countries were suspicious but found no enemies when they quietly ascended to investigate. They could only judge from the residual Dao Melodies left in the void: "So strong! Not an opponent we can match."

"Fortunately, this person is merely passing through and not here to invade our country."

After chasing for half a day, Brother suddenly let his whiskers droop: "It’s here!" Elder Sun dived down, and two rivers at the land converged in a valley below, hiding a huge Extinction Domain within. Elder Sun scanned the area, found the entrance to the Extinction Domain, flew low around it, and charged in from the side of the valley.

As Elder Sun landed in the Extinction Domain, he did not conceal his power. Layers upon layers of Mini-world descended, as if a terrifying heavenly bird had landed. Various evil winds and shockwaves caused chaos on the ground.

"Old thief, come out!"

"Return my Divine Tower, and I will spare your life!"

A horrifying roar emanated from deep within the Extinction Domain, shaking the heavens and the earth with its fury. It was the rage of a Divine Beast that had been offended. A colossal figure appeared among the mountains, even taller than the mountain peaks themselves! This was not one of the Divine Beast Avatars Elder Sun had seen before, but instead the final winner in Azure Dragon’s battle of wits, perhaps aptly named "Hundred Battle Body"!

Azure Dragon revealed its Divinity, enveloping the entire Extinction Domain in a majestic and grandiose display, scolding, "Insolent juniors, arrogant and self-important!"

Elder Sun didn’t bother engaging in a war of words, instead vaulting into the air above the Hundred Battle Body while shouting, "You told me about the Heavenly Fire Lion’s demise, but you knew in advance that an Ancient God was slumbering there. Moreover, you were aware of the Guardian organization’s existence. With me as bait, you discovered the Guardian organization’s headquarters, used me to hold back some of their forces, then swooped in to seize the Divine Tower and all the Family Laws and Magic Treasures of the Guardians!"

Elder Sun was furious; how long had it been since he had last been used by someone? It was nothing less than a humiliation! After guessing the whole story, Elder Sun didn’t hesitate to flip the table and come to fight.

This situation couldn’t be solely blamed on Azure Dragon’s cunning scheme or Elder Sun falling into a trap. The root cause was the huge information gap between them. Azure Dragon knew all the secrets of the Seven Stars Mountain Extinction Region.

Elder Sun had been extremely cautious since entering Seven Stars Mountain, and he suffered no losses while gaining rewards along the way. However, Azure Dragon’s ultimate goal was not Seven Stars Mountain, so it could only be considered an unintentional consequence of their conflict.
