Chapter 1439: Chapter 1439

Above the sky, the National Master was already fighting the "slave" of the Demon Emperor. Two other Tier-7 beings rushed over, but they were blocked by Little Black Tortoise.

Dwight slowly arrived outside the Cave Mansion, shocked: Destroyed? This quickly? What happened to the half-awakened Ancient Demon that James said could wipe out all Tier-7 beings in an instant?

Dwight cursed silently and turned around to flee towards the Myriad Demon Domain. He knew he couldn’t trust James. He talked big, but a single Seventh Realm human had leveled his Cave Mansion, and it hadn’t even lasted half an incense stick’s worth of time!

Owen Bertram lifted his eyes and noticed that from the upper layers of the Myriad Demon Domain, three powerful auras surged upwards. Three Tier-7 Demon Saints were already charging toward him. If it had been in the past, Owen Bertram might have called for the National Master, fighting side by side and retreating from the Nine Witch Demon Court. But now, boosted by four layers of the mini-world, Owen Bertram was filled with valor. He roared skywards, actively confronting the three Demon Saints!

Under the effect of Owen Bertram’s "Space Escape," he was omnipresent in an instant! All three Demon Saints felt like they were facing Owen Bertram himself. The first Demon Saint was hit by the Ancient Sword, the second Demon Saint was poked by the Dragon-Slaying Divine Short Sword, and the third Demon Saint was the most frustrated as Brian transformed into a liquid gold and engulfed him! He was furious and attacked relentlessly but failed to break through in his hurried fashion!

The magical function of "Space Escape" was an advantage when using fewer forces against many. However, only Owen Bertram could actually capitalize on this and fight multiple opponents at once. In his hands, he held the Ancient Sword, the Dragon-Slaying Artifact, Shell Awl, Scale Weight, and Brian, among other powerful artifacts. Such caliber of artifacts would be considered precious treasures to any seventh realm beings. Possessing even one of them was considered lucky.

The powerful offensive capabilities of these treasures ensured that Owen Bertram could fend off three Tier-7 Demon Saints even when severely outnumbered. Despite that anyone else with "Space Escape" would still be unable to block multiple opponents without a significant offensive power and would end up being surrounded by their enemies.

Aloft, the National Master was also facing three opponents alone, but she had Little Black Tortoise on her side. Observing that Owen Bertram, by his strength alone, was able to fend off three powerful Tier-7 Demon Saints without even using many of his methods, she felt somewhat regretful and admired and felt even more convinced that her own decision to pledge allegiance with Sang Island was the right choice.

A hundred miles away on the upper levels of the Myriad Demon Domain, the dignitaries of the Nine Witch Demon Court all gathered, staring in silent shock. The Seventh Realm humans may have been fewer in number than the Demon Clan, but they were incredibly powerful, each of them able to take on three opponents at once!

"Quickly report to His Majesty!"

Despite the gravity of the matter, the Demon Emperor hadn’t even left his palace. He simply didn’t take James seriously. He was furious that the Human Race had stealthily approached his doorstep. He had dispatched one of his slaves, believing the matter would be settled, while he continued to indulge in his imperial pleasures.

However, there was no longer a need to report. The violent, elemental shockwaves caused by the battlefield on the outskirts of the city had alerted the Demon Emperor, and he was already on his way, accompanied by another of his Tier-7 slaves.

Princess Amelia stood in the middle of the lower level streets, surrounded by total chaos. The ordinary Demon civilians were no different from humans. When disaster struck, the violent wheel of fate rolled over them, and they would be the first to turn into dust.

The sounds of countless screams echoed all around. Numerous little demons were running around aimlessly, following the larger crowd towards another part of the city. However, such a significant war impacted a range of several thousands of miles. Just escaping the city wouldn’t ensure safety. There were a few peculiar demons who burrowed deep into the soil, feeling that beneath the ground would be safer.

Some had fanciful ideas and ran up the four fundamental mountains, aiming to hide in the upper levels. The moment they got close to a certain distance from the upper levels, they would be restricted by the demon magic and burned into ashes!

Princess Amelia stood among the chaotic demons, her small face lifted high, unflinchingly. No matter how turbulent the crowd of demons was, they would always leave a three-yard radius of empty space around her. With the help of a Seventh Tier’s divine powers, these fleeing demons wouldn’t even notice this.

The Demon Emperor appeared at the edge of the upper levels, watching the distant battle alongside his courtiers. Honestly, for beings of the Seventh Realm, a distance of about a hundred miles wasn’t very far at all.

This was the first time Princess Amelia had the chance to see her "Father" since she grew up. A life of privilege had made her once crafty and strategic father, His Majesty the Emperor, exceedingly rotund, giving him an unfavourable impression as someone corpulent in mind and body. Princess Amelia felt nothing but disgust.

The position at which the Demon Emperor was standing looked so cool, however! It made the Little Princess unable to resist the urge to strike him with a sword!

The "Star Tethering Plate" flew out first. However, due to the sheer number of guards beside the Demon Emperor, there were too many variables, making it difficult to accurately predict the outcome. The Little Princess could only calculate a few most likely possible outcomes.

The Little Princess didn’t actually believe that she currently had enough power to assassinate her father. But seeing the Demon Emperor right in front of her, she couldn’t resist the urge to mess with him. Of course, she didn’t hope to kill him; just knowing a few "possible outcomes" would be enough.

Suddenly, Princess Amelia vanished from her spot, transforming into a flickering fire shadow that floated upwards. The officials in the border of the upper world were focusing on the battlefield afar, with several Tier-7 Demon Saints preparing to aid in the fight. The Demon Emperor’s guards were responsible for keeping guard in all directions, but the Little Princess wasn’t as powerful as them; they didn’t notice her at all. The Little Princess was calculating the distances when suddenly, a massive sword made of fire, lit the sky, its length reached five hundred yards!
