Chapter 1420: Chapter 1420

"Fly?" Sun Da Ren took a glance at Little Princess, with disdain in his eyes.

It wasn’t that their habitual thinking led them to prefer walking on the ground; it was because Sun Da Ren, after countless adventures, understood one thing very clearly: the more apparent a loophole, the greater the hidden danger.

Little Princess felt a bit unconvinced, "What if, just what if, the Seven-Hearted Demon Lord overlooked the sky—there’s a saying in your Human Race, ’A wise man is bound to make some mistakes.’"

Sun Da Ren sighed and casually crafted several Mechanical Kites. The lifelike birds soared above the grassland, only to suddenly be torn apart by an invisible force. The various parts scattered down, some falling on the grassland and quickly rusting into nutrients for the grass, whereas others landed on the purple-red path and were flattened by gravity.

"Psionic power," Sun Da Ren said. Princess Amelia shrank back her neck, feeling genuinely at a loss. She was born with astonishing talent and intelligence, but had spent her entire life scheming with the Grand Emperor, lacking any real combat experience.

Sun Da Ren beckoned to her, "Stay close to me."

Sun Da Ren stepped onto the purple-red road. The dangers in the earlier part of the Gravity Swamp had been discovered, and the pair—a human and a demon—walked uneventfully to the edge of the "Gravity Cliff."

The first row of Mechanical Spiders had been flattened by the Gravity Cliff, but there were still hundreds left, now crawling at their feet. Sun Da Ren picked one up, moving it in the direction of the Gravity Cliff, and suddenly, the Mechanical Spider vanished from Sun Da Ren’s hand!

Then it reappeared about ten feet away, only to be instantly crushed into a flat sheet of iron on the ground by the intense gravity.

Sun Da Ren took another Mechanical Spider and extended it forward—the Mechanical Spider appeared two feet away, and with a hiss, the second one was also flattened. The third, fourth... Only after more than a dozen attempts did a Mechanical Spider finally land safely at fourteen feet and four inches away.

Sun Da Ren immediately sent hundreds more to explore the surrounding area, establishing a safe range of about ten feet. He then recalled all the Mechanical Spiders and grabbed hold of Princess Amelia’s small hand, "Let’s go."

Princess Amelia, feeling uneasy, asked, "Hey, hey, what are you doing...?"

"I’m going to teleport us across using the Breaking Void Divine Ability."

"Can we do that?" Princess Amelia lacked confidence, "What if we make a mistake? Even if we don’t die instantly, we’re sure to be trapped."

Sun Da Ren calmly analyzed, "Recall the Seven-Hearted Demon Lord’s powers. Have you noticed anything?" As Princess Amelia tried hard to recall the seven powers, she began to vaguely understand Sun Da Ren’s point.

"None of his powers are focused on the Void, which means he’s not skilled in it. Therefore, the only way to break his setup here is to use Void methods. We’ll use the Void to cross his Gravity Cliff directly," Sun Da Ren explained proactively.

Little Princess still felt uneasy, "What if he set traps in the Void as well? He’s the Seven-Hearted Demon Lord, unparalleled in Calculation Power."

"As I said, he’s not good at Void powers. Even if we encounter a Void Trap, it’ll be easier to break than his other arrangements here. The answer is clear, which one do you choose?"

Little Princess really wanted to say she wouldn’t choose either, but her brother was already holding her hand domineeringly, and together they stepped into the Breaking Void and teleported in an instant—Whoosh!

The human and the demon stood at the fourteen-feet-four-inch mark, Little Princess’s heart almost leaping out of her throat. Fortunately, the Breaking Void Divine Ability ended in an instant, so there wasn’t a long agony. Her brother’s judgment turned out to be correct. Little Princess exhaled a fragrant breath and patted her chest a few times.

Sun Da Ren brought over all the Mechanical Spiders and continued to explore the path ahead in the same manner as before.

After they left, the Old Demon, who considered himself an oriole hiding in the background, stroked his chin, muttering to himself, "That human kid has a deliciously tender brain." Drool flowed uncontrollably as he couldn’t help himself.

Then the Old Demon faced a slightly embarrassing problem—how to follow them?

He had many powerful methods. Even at his current Tire-8 level, he could completely ignore the Gravity Swamp and Gravity Cliff, and walk across uninjured. However, doing so would create too much noise, alerting the two youngsters ahead and making him seem less "wise."

The Old Demon had a taste for mischief common among powerful beings, enjoying playing cat-and-mouse games. He eagerly anticipated the moment when the two youngsters struggled to reach the end, thinking they had succeeded, only to find him, completely undetected, following them the whole time!

Witnessing their expressions as they plummeted from the peak of joy to the depths of despair would greatly satisfy the Old Demon’s spirit.

He even had a perverse belief: truly desperate humans were the most delicious. This was a high-end method of handling ingredients that lesser demons could not perform.

Since he needed to hide his tracks, the best way was to follow the human’s footsteps, using the Void Divine Powers to teleport quietly. Coincidentally, just like the Seven-Hearted Demon Lord, he was not adept at Void techniques.

He had some Void Divine Powers, as someone of his level couldn’t afford to have any obvious weaknesses.

However, among his Divine Abilities that could be used at this level, all of them were too conspicuous. There was none as light and effortless as Sun Da Ren’s Breaking Void Divine Ability!
