Chapter 1509: Chapter 1509
"Got it. You guys hold on, I’ll send someone over right away to pick you up."
Liu Chai gave an order and then hung up the phone.
"Six-star Martial Master, huh! You’re so damn powerful, yet you go off to fight illegal underground matches. Are you out of your mind?"
Zhao Tianhao put down his phone and couldn’t help but curse.
Li Wenxuan was driving, Tang Ming sat in the passenger seat, and three people squeezed in the back.
"You’re really something, pretending to be Han Shan. I bet tonight is going to be a show."
Shao Wuyou stared at Tang Ming with excitement: "We have to figure out a way to watch the show. It’ll definitely be spectacular then."
"Yeah, yeah, even if I get a major demerit from the dormitory, I have to sneak out and watch the fun tonight."
Meng Xianjun nodded repeatedly.
"No fooling around. You guys will be checked by the dorm staff tonight. Anyone causing trouble, I won’t spare them."
Li Wenxuan immediately warned loudly.
"Haha, hear that? Our advisor doesn’t want us to join the fun."
Tang Ming chuckled and sighed helplessly, "We better just stay obediently in our dorm and sleep."
Shao Wuyou and Meng Xianjun exchanged glances, their eyes slyly darting around, thinking up some mischievous plan.
Back at school, after parting with Li Wenxuan, Shao Wuyou and Meng Xianjun stopped Tang Ming: "Brothers, are you really not planning to watch the fun tonight?"
"We’re freshmen, we have no way to go."
"I can’t go anyway; I’m not as strong as you guys. If I get discovered, it’ll be bad."
Hua Yingjie shook his head bitterly.
"So, we have three people going. I’ll come up with a plan; rest assured there’ll be no problem."
Shao Wuyou stroked his chin and wrapped his arm around Meng Xianjun, "Old Meng and I are going out."
"What are you guys going to do?"
Tang Ming was puzzled.
"Don’t worry about it. We’ll definitely figure out a way to sneak out tonight."
Shao Wuyou grinned sinisterly and then left with Meng Xianjun.
Tang Ming and Hua Yingjie exchanged confused looks, unsure what these two were up to, and could only return to the classroom to continue with classes.
At nine o’clock in the evening, Tang Ming and Hua Yingjie were hanging out in the dorm room.
"Where have those two gone? They’ve been missing all day."
Tang Ming asked Hua Yingjie puzzledly.
"I don’t know either; I’ve called them but no one’s answering. Could they have gone straight to watch the fun?"
Hua Yingjie speculated uncertainly.
"Damn it, what am I waiting for then?"
Hearing this, Tang Ming quickly got up, ready to go see the fun himself.
Just as Tang Ming was about to leave, the door was pushed open, and Shao Wuyou and Meng Xianjun walked in with three large bags.
"Finally you’re back; I thought you’d gone already."
Tang Ming lamented speechlessly.
"Without you leading the way, we wouldn’t dare go."
Meng Xianjun grinned widely, "If we get discovered, we’d be in deep trouble."
"Afraid we might actually get killed."
Shao Wuyou shook his head apprehensively.
Tang Ming curiously eyed the boxes in their hands.
Hua Yingjie was also very intrigued.
"Hehe, this is the key to us being able to sneak out tonight."
Shao Wuyou got excited immediately, "Old Meng, first close the door, pull the curtains."
Meng Xianjun immediately took action.
Shao Wuyou swiftly tore open the bags and took out the contents.
"What the heck, you guys are nuts?"
Seeing what’s inside, Tang Ming opened his eyes wide and exclaimed.
Hua Yingjie almost fell off the bed, shocked beyond belief.
"Shhh, shhh, shhh, we especially bought this for tonight’s operation; otherwise, we wouldn’t need it."
Shao Wuyou grinned widely, "Come quickly and help if you still want to go out?"
"Can this really work?"
Tang Ming looked helpless.
"It’s better than us just running away, plus Old Hua is here to cooperate in the dorm—there’ll be no problems."
Shao Wuyou promised confidently.
"Alright, I’ll trust you just this once."
Tang Ming gritted his teeth and joined in the hustle.
At ten o’clock, the dorm leader and student council members were checking each dorm room, recording the state of the freshmen dorms.
"Huh, this dorm is darkened so early?"
A glasses-wearing boy was puzzled as he stood at the door of room 137.
"Perhaps they’ve gone to bed early?"
An unsure male student speculated.
"Let’s go in and check. Don’t let me catch anyone causing trouble."
The dorm leader snorted coldly and reached out to knock on the door, which opened by itself.
As soon as the door opened, Hua Yingjie, who was sitting on the bed reading with a small desk lamp, quickly got up, "Don’t wake up my roommates."
"What’s going on? Why is your dorm asleep so early?"
The dorm leader asked Hua Yingjie curiously.
"They played basketball all day; they’re exhausted, so they went to bed early."
Hua Yingjie hurriedly took the lamp from his bed.
"Ha, I suspect they’re up to something. Turn on the lights now; I want to check if they’re really in the dorm."
The dorm leader snorted coldly, preparing to find the switch.
"No way! They’re all asleep, and if you turn on the lights, it’ll wake them all up, won’t it?"
Hua Yingjie hurriedly stopped the dorm leader, "I’ll use a desk lamp to illuminate them one by one. Is that not enough?"
The dorm leader was very determined, reaching out and turning on the light.
Hua Yingjie looked a bit displeased.
"Huh, they actually are here?"
The dorm leader voiced surprise, seeing others lying on beds, just turned sideways with the back of their heads facing out.
"Stop sleeping; get up, let the dorm leader check you properly."
Hua Yingjie shouted irritably, "This university is like a prison: sleeping late isn’t allowed, and sleeping early is wrong too."
As soon as he finished, Hua Yingjie grabbed a cup from the table and threw it hard at Shao Wuyou’s bed.
The person who was hit let out a sharp cry.
Then Hua Yingjie pushed the person on Tang Ming’s bed.
Some soft humming sounded.
"No, no, no, if they’re in the dorm, let it be. Don’t wake them all up."
Seeing the situation, the dorm leader hastily stopped Hua Yingjie, "I’m just ensuring dorm safety, routine work, let them sleep on."
After speaking, the dorm leader quickly led the group away from the dorm.
"Phew, phew, phew, that scared me."
Hua Yingjie closed the door, locked it, and wiped sweat from his forehead.
"Damn it, these three can’t settle, and I’m left worrying along."
Hua Yingjie sighed miserably, quickly turning off the lights.
Almost at shut-in time, Li Wenxuan arrived at Dormitory Building 4, worried Tang Ming and the others might cause trouble tonight, so she checked in specially.
