Chapter 1161: Chapter 1161
"Why not? He’s so bad, we must teach him a lesson."
Li Xiaoli interrupted Chen Cang’s words discontentedly.
"How do we teach him a lesson? Do we go up to him and say, ’Why aren’t you letting Xia Wei’er and Tang Ming get together?’ "
Chen Cang looked at Li Xiaoli oddly.
"Or maybe we shouldn’t confront him at all?"
Xia Wei’er shook her head repeatedly. This sort of thing is inherently awkward, and if it blows up, everyone will know.
"Right, this kind of thing shouldn’t be publicized, and Wei’er and Tang Ming haven’t lost anything, so let’s drop it."
Liu Mengting also supported Xia Wei’er’s decision.
"Hmph, Wei’er hasn’t lost anything, she hasn’t even had the chance to get rid of the first layer."
Li Xiaoli pouted in frustration.
Xia Wei’er blushed furiously at Li Xiaoli’s words.
"Alright, alright, since it’s a rare chance for the four of us sisters to get together, let’s go shopping and have a spree."
Chen Cang enthusiastically suggested.
"Yay, yay, let’s go on a shopping spree."
Li Xiaoli immediately put her worries behind her, shouting excitedly.
Xia Wei’er and Liu Mengting looked at Li Xiaoli with helpless expressions. This girl really is changeable.
Afterwards, Chen Cang took the three women out for food and shopping, and they had a blast.
Tang Ming, who hadn’t slept all night, finally awoke in the evening. Fortunately, he had eaten a lot last night, or he surely would have woken up from hunger.
After getting up, he washed up in a daze and then exited the room.
"Master, you’re awake!"
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Wu Xiaoyu dressed in a maid’s outfit, respectfully bowing at the door.
"Hmm? Where are they?"
Tang Ming yawned, asking feebly.
"The three Misses went to investigate the culprit who disrupted you and Miss Wei’er’s intimate moment last night."
Wu Xiaoyu responded truthfully.
"Investigate the culprit?"
Tang Ming was momentarily taken aback, then suddenly opened his eyes wide: "Damn it, if I find out who’s this boring, I’ll tear them to pieces. Have they found anything?"
"I don’t know about that."
Wu Xiaoyu shook her head blankly.
"Hmph, I’ll call and ask."
Tang Ming immediately pulled out his phone and dialed Li Xiaoli’s number.
"Hello, Tang Ming? You’re awake, huh?"
As soon as the call connected, Li Xiaoli panted and shouted, "Come downstairs quickly and help us carry stuff."
Tang Ming was stunned for a moment: "Where are you guys?"
"Right at the door, we just got out of the car. Hurry up, these things are heavy."
After saying that, Li Xiaoli hung up the phone.
"These girls couldn’t have caught the culprit and brought them back, could they?"
Tang Ming was puzzled, then quickly went downstairs and stepped out of the villa, only to see Liu Mengting and the others carrying large and small bags towards the door.
"Weren’t you going to investigate the culprit? How did you end up buying so much stuff?"
Tang Ming looked at the women in confusion.
"Stop blabbering and come help, will you?"
Li Xiaoli shouted irritably.
"Oh, okay, Xiaoyu, help out."
Tang Ming quickly called Wu Xiaoyu to help carry the girls’ things inside. Chen Cang’s items were left in the car, the girls had more than enough already.
"Phew, I’m exhausted!"
Li Xiaoli slumped onto the table, panting and saying, "It seems like we really can’t go on shopping sprees without Tang Ming around."
"Yeah, without anyone to help us carry stuff, it’s so tiring."
Liu Mengting lay lifelessly beside Li Xiaoli.
"Hey, the way you’re talking makes it sound like I’m just some bag-carrying lackey."
Tang Ming protested with an annoyed expression.
"No, no, you’re not just a bag-carrying lackey; you’re our bag-carrying guy, our dear Tang Ming."
Li Xiaoli exclaimed with a mischievous smile.
"Tang Ming, you should feel honored."
Chen Cang said smugly, raising a hand with a flourish, "Not just anyone gets the privilege of carrying bags for four beauties."
Tang Ming glared at Chen Cang irritably, eagerly asking, "I heard you were investigating the culprit’s identity; how did that go?"
Upon hearing this, the three women exchanged glances before sitting up straight and coldly staring at Tang Ming.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Tang Ming instinctively shrank down, feeling uneasy under the women’s gaze.
Xia Wei’er and Liu Mengting looked at Li Xiaoli, gesturing for her to speak.
"Ahem, during our investigation of the culprit’s identity, we made some unexpected discoveries, which require you to explain to us—to your girlfriend, Miss Xia Wei’er."
Li Xiaoli said solemnly, looking at Tang Ming.
"Your investigation of the culprit has something to do with me?"
Tang Ming frowned in bewilderment.
Chen Cang sat to the side, covering his face. This was the legendary cross-examination; he couldn’t interject even if he wanted to help Tang Ming.
"Hmph, stop pretending. Confession spares punishment, resistance leads to severe consequences."
Liu Mengting snorted coldly, warning domineeringly.
"Ming, tell me what’s going on, how could you deceive me?"
Xia Wei’er looked at Tang Ming with resentment, full of grievance.
"When did I ever deceive you?"
Tang Ming was even more confused; he never seemed to have lied to Xia Wei’er.
"Really? Then let me ask you, who is Tang Ming?"
Li Xiaoli stared intently at Tang Ming, questioning.
"What are you talking about? I’m Tang Ming, right?"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes, speechless: "You don’t think I’m an imposter, do you?"
"Not you, another Tang Ming."
Liu Mengting reminded him irritably.
"Another Tang Ming? Someone’s daring to impersonate me?"
Tang Ming’s face turned cold; this was a grave matter.
"You’re still playing dumb! I’m asking about the fateful Tang Ming, not the bright-moon Tang Ming."
Li Xiaoli clenched her teeth, correcting firmly.
"Oh, you’re talking about her."
Tang Ming suddenly understood. If it weren’t explained in detail, he would’ve nearly forgotten about that woman: "She’s a scammer I encountered before, sent to deceive me by Sun Zhuangjia from the provincial capital."
The three women looked shocked and puzzled.
"Heh, I didn’t expect your taste to be so unique, liking scammers."
Liu Mengting looked at Tang Ming with disdain.
Tang Ming asked Liu Mengting, confused.
"Tang Ming is a scammer, so who is Ouyang Xiao?" Li Xiaoli continued the interrogation.
"Hmm? How do you know about Ouyang Xiao?"
Tang Ming was surprised; Ouyang Xiao was the Black Widow’s representative and shouldn’t have anything to do with these girls.
"Oh, you really kept this from us!"
Li Xiaoli pointed at Tang Ming, looking at Xia Wei’er: "Wei’er, you said Tang Ming isn’t that kind of person, but now he’s admitted it himself. What have you got to say?"
"What can I say now?"
Xia Wei’er smiled bitterly, feeling a sense of grievance.
