Chapter 1157: Chapter 1157
"Phew, is it finally going to be peaceful now?"
Tang Ming sighed helplessly.
Xia Wei’er, sitting on the sofa, also looked helpless. What’s going on here?
Tang Ming sat back on the sofa, all his enthusiasm dissipated.
"Ming, do you think anyone else will come and interrupt us?"
Xia Wei’er looked at Tang Ming uncertainly.
"I don’t know either. Let’s wait a bit. If there’s nothing after a while, we’ll continue."
Tang Ming tried to muster some energy and stared intently at the door.
"Forget it, I’ve been traumatized. Thank goodness they always interrupt beforehand. If it happened during the ’thing,’ I’d be scared sick."
Xia Wei’er wearily held Tang Ming’s hand, equally reluctant to move.
"I’m afraid I might be frightened out of my wits."
Tang Ming sighed helplessly.
Not even two minutes passed before the doorbell rang again.
Tang Ming sighed helplessly and walked dejectedly to the door. "The young lady and the police have both come; what’s this trick now?"
"Sir, your order of Da Shuai Lobsters is here. Please sign for it."
Upon opening the door, before Tang Ming could lose his temper, a delivery rider cheerfully handed over a large serving of crawfish.
Tang Ming was slightly stunned, but he couldn’t resist the food.
The rider glanced at the order. "It’s from Jun Tianhao Hotel, ordered under the room name of Xia Wei’er."
"Alright, thank you."
Tang Ming nodded, took the crawfish, and closed the door.
"Wei’er, how did you know I’d be hungry from all this fuss and went ahead to order food?"
Tang Ming carried the crawfish to the coffee table, looking at Xia Wei’er with satisfaction.
Xia Wei’er shook her head. "I didn’t have the mind to order food at all!"
"Then I’ll eat first to see if there’s any poison."
Tang Ming thought for a moment, immediately opened the food box, and ate a few bites; turns out there was no poison.
"No poison, it really is crawfish, and it tastes pretty good."
Tang Ming nodded repeatedly.
"I’ll have some too. I’m so hungry."
After tasting it, Xia Wei’er couldn’t resist and joined in eating.
Before Tang Ming and Xia Wei’er could finish the crawfish, the doorbell rang again.
This time, Xia Wei’er opened the door, and it was another delivery, a big pile of barbecue.
"Who is behind this mischief? After teasing us, they sent us so much food."
Xia Wei’er looked puzzled at the heap of food in front of her.
"Their intentions aren’t good. By continually having food delivered, we can’t do anything private. They really pinpointed my weakness—food."
Tang Ming was unbothered and ate heartily, venting his anger. The only way to calm his simmering rage was to transform grief into appetite.
"But the food tastes quite good."
Xia Wei’er also started eating.
Afterward, every few minutes, someone would deliver food to Tang Ming’s room, bringing a constant stream of various dishes.
Once Xia Wei’er was full, she went to sleep.
Tang Ming sat alone in the living room, feasting. Wasting food is a shame, and with the constant food deliveries, he couldn’t do anything with Xia Wei’er; eating was his only option.
Tang Ming was eating in frustration, but the two elderly people next door had it even worse. They spent the whole night ordering food for Tang Ming, spending money like water, more than the cost of a night’s stay.
Thankfully, the Hu Family provided resources; otherwise, relying on their economic strength alone, Tang Ming would have bankrupted them with his eating.
Tang Ming ate through to the next day’s checkout, and even before checking out, someone came to deliver food.
Fortunately, Tang Ming had a miraculous stomach to handle all the food; otherwise, the presidential suite might not have been able to contain it all.
By noon, with dark circles under his eyes and feeling sluggish, Tang Ming drove Xia Wei’er back to the villa. After such a busy night, he couldn’t muster the interest for anything and just wanted to go home and sleep well.
Seeing Tang Ming , Xia Wei’er, who had slept all night, felt a pang of heartache, wondering who could be so idle.
Once back at the villa, Tang Ming yawned heartily, greeted Liu Mengting and others, and went upstairs to catch up on sleep.
"Wow, Wei’er, aren’t you quite fierce?"
Li Xiaoli looked at Tang Ming’s back in shock. "Tang Ming, with his strong physique, was worn out by you. How many times did you do it?"
"Wei’er, are you okay?"
Liu Mengting pulled Xia Wei’er onto the sofa with concern, anxiously asking, "Did he hurt you?"
"No, no. Haven’t you heard the saying ’only tired cows, never plowed fields’?"
Li Xiaoli shook her head repeatedly, looking mischievously at Xia Wei’er. "I really didn’t expect it, Wei’er, you’re quite extraordinary, squeezing Tang Ming dry in just one night. Incredible, truly incredible."
"No, Ming and I didn’t do anything."
Xia Wei’er sighed bitterly, then relayed the events of last night in detail.
After hearing this, Liu Mengting, Li Xiaoli, and Wu Xiaoyu were all amazed; it was simply unbelievable.
"I feel like it’s a dream too, but that’s how it was. Ming and I have no idea who we offended, using such methods to mess with us."
Xia Wei’er shook her head helplessly, feeling both bitter and awkward.
"The person behind this is so wicked. Of all things, why interfere with people’s ’bedroom activities’?"
Li Xiaoli muttered indignantly, "We were waiting for Tang Ming to ’officially’ come together with you, and then everyone could share in the showering of love. Now it seems that’s off the table."
"Xiaoli, don’t talk nonsense. Who said anything about sharing?"
Liu Mengting glared at Li Xiaoli.
"I never said it was Meng Meng instead of you, so why are you so nervous?"
Li Xiaoli gave Liu Mengting a quirky look.
"This is one of those ’there’s no silver here’ situations," Wu Xiaoyu added, twisting the knife.
Liu Mengting was immediately embarrassed, quickly changing the subject. "What we should be discussing is who could be so bored as to do such shameless things."
"Yes, yes, we must find out who’s stopping Tang Ming from his ’activities,’ or when certain people want to do it with Tang Ming, they’ll be interrupted too,"
Li Xiaoli smirked, eyeing Liu Mengting up and down.
"Why are you looking at me?"
Liu Mengting stared angrily at Li Xiaoli.
"I never said it was Meng Meng, so why are you getting all worked up?"
Li Xiaoli looked at Liu Mengting mischievously.
Liu Mengting’s face turned red, indeed giving off the air of ’there’s no silver here,’ awkwardly shifting the topic. "Let’s focus on figuring out who’s so idle, messing with Wei’er and Tang Ming’s night."
"Yes, yes, that’s the main issue."
Li Xiaoli nodded vigorously, standing up and resting her chin on her hand. "@#@#2#, the truth is out there. Let detective Xiaoli lead you to the mastermind."
