Chapter 1135: Chapter 1135
"What the hell is going on here?"
Liu Gaoze swallowed nervously, looking puzzled at the chefs in white coats.
"Reporting to the chairman, we don’t know either."
The chubby head chef looked blankly towards the kitchen: "We’ve sealed off the entire canteen as per your orders, but just now a huge man charged in despite our obstruction. We couldn’t stop him, nor dared to go in."
"What huge man? That’s Tang Ming, my daughter’s bodyguard."
Liu Gaoze glared at the head chef irritably and bit his teeth, "This virus isn’t contagious, go to the kitchen and see if there’s anything you can do to help."
As soon as he finished speaking, Liu Gaoze mustered his courage and walked towards the kitchen.
The group of chefs exchanged glances, and finally had to follow Liu Gaoze towards the canteen. If something happened to the chairman, losing their jobs would be a small matter; they could even get implicated, which would be troublesome.
When the group reached the entrance of the kitchen, they were all shocked by the scene inside.
The once spacious canteen was now a mess, courtesy of Tang Ming, who was crouched on the ground gnawing on a piece of raw meat.
"Hiss, is this guy crazy?"
The head chef gasped, who else would eat raw meat but a lunatic?
"You’re the crazy one."
Liu Gaoze chided irritably, anxiously watching Tang Ming: "Little Tang, what’s wrong? Is there anything we can do to help?"
"Get me food, as much as possible, quick, quick, quick."
Tang Ming, balloon-like in size, shouted without even lifting his head.
Liu Gaoze nodded repeatedly and immediately looked at the head chef: "Hey you, quickly bring everyone to move all the edible things in the canteen to Tang Ming."
The head chef immediately directed his subordinates to start moving things. After all, the kitchen was their domain, and they knew better than Tang Ming where the food was.
While the chefs were busy, Liu Gaoze pulled out his phone and ordered unlimited food delivery from the restaurant closest to the Liu Group, then ordered the procurement department to purchase a large amount of food.
In no time, countless people were bustling about to get Tang Ming food, while he sat on the floor, devouring everything brought to him.
After who knows how long, Tang Ming had eaten everything edible in the canteen, as well as the food brought back by the restaurant and procurement department.
It was impossible to calculate how much he had eaten, but Tang Ming finally returned to normal.
"Little Tang, how are you feeling?"
Liu Gaoze was the first to rush to Tang Ming’s side, asking with concern.
"Phew, I almost exploded."
Tang Ming, looking worn out, barely kept his eyes open, stating lethargically, "I’m so sleepy now, but I can’t sleep; otherwise..."
Otherwise, he would fall into a coma like Xiao Honghong, meaning the poisoned group would be done for.
"Do you need more to eat?"
Liu Gaoze uncertainly looked at Tang Ming.
"Of course, but is there any left?"
Tang Ming glanced around; he had eaten everything in the canteen.
"I’ve already sent people to continue purchasing more."
Liu Gaoze looked helpless, and only now did he realize just how much Tang Ming could eat.
The canteen’s food was meant for the whole company, yet Tang Ming devoured it all; it was absurd.
"Good, buy more, the more the better."
Tang Ming nodded and, grabbing Liu Gaoze’s arm, struggled to stand up: "Help me back to the office to check on Liu Fei."
"Liu Fei is fine now; he should be waking up."
Liu Gaoze supported Tang Ming as they walked out of the canteen.
A group of chefs looked at the ravaged kitchen, wanting to cry.
Tang Ming took all the food but left behind a mess of garbage. The current state of the canteen was probably the dirtiest ever, and cleaning up would take ages.
"Little Tang, how can you eat so much?"
After helping Tang Ming into the elevator, Liu Gaoze asked puzzledly.
"Ha, eating gives strength."
Tang Ming replied dismissively while thinking, what a close call. If there hadn’t been such a large supply of food, he might have really been in trouble.
Even now, although his energy levels had somewhat recovered, his Gang Qi and True Qi were completely depleted. Fortunately, the genetic poison in his body had been controlled; otherwise, he’d be in deep trouble.
When the two reached the office, they saw Liu Fei just finishing a phone call.
"Xiao Liu, are you okay?"
Liu Gaoze surprisedly eyed Liu Fei.
"I’m fine, completely recovered."
Liu Fei stood up awkwardly: "I was going to call to report back, but you came back sooner than expected."
"Come over here, let me check your condition."
Tang Ming weakly gestured for Liu Fei to come closer.
"Thank you so much. If it weren’t for you, I’d definitely be dead this time."
Liu Fei approached Tang Ming, gratefully thanking him.
"How did you know it was me who saved you?"
Tang Ming wondered; when he had knocked Liu Fei away, Liu Fei was unconscious. Liu Gaoze had said that Liu Fei hadn’t woken up when he left the office, so how did this guy know who saved him?
"Well... while I was out cold, I vaguely heard some voices, knowing it was you, and besides, other than Brother Xia, I can’t think of anyone else with such skills."
"Okay, but I was also the one who harmed you."
Tang Ming nodded while checking Liu Fei’s pulse, thinking helplessly that if he hadn’t messed up and given Liu Fei the detoxification medicine causing a worsening of his condition, he wouldn’t have helped Liu Fei expel the poison.
Liu Fei and Liu Gaoze anxiously watched Tang Ming.
"He’s fine now; his body has fully recovered."
Tang Ming let go of Liu Fei, finally a bit relieved. At least Liu Fei was okay now.
"That’s great! So, does this mean you can also treat others?"
Liu Gaoze looked at Tang Ming excitedly; if one person could be saved, others could be treated too.
"Uncle, look at the state I’m in. Saving Liu Fei almost cost me my life; I don’t have the strength to save anyone else."
Tang Ming looked at Liu Gaoze speechlessly, finally understanding why Xiao Honghong fell into a coma.
He was exhausted from saving one person, and Xiao Honghong had saved ten or more at once; it’s a miracle she wasn’t dead.
Liu Gaoze finally realized that Tang Ming’s situation was not optimistic and said awkwardly: "Then eat more to nourish your body, and once you’re recovered, you can go on to save others."
"There’s not enough time."
Tang Ming shook his head and said helplessly: "Detoxifying people takes a huge toll on me, and I can only save one person at a time. These people can only live up to four days, which isn’t enough time for me to recover."
