Chapter 1114: Chapter 1114
"Would I lie to you? If it weren’t like that, would Meng Meng be so angry?"
Chen Cang gave Tang Ming a blank look and said helplessly, "You say you live under the same roof with Meng Meng and Xiao Li every day, and now you’re dreaming about other women doing this and that. It’s such a blow to them."
"I... even if I dreamed it, so what?"
Tang Ming blushed, replying in annoyance, "Wei’er is my girlfriend. As long as she agrees, I can do whatever I want. Who can stop me?"
"You’re impressive, you’re really something."
Chen Cang curled his lips and got up to leave, "I better go comfort the wounded hearts of those two besties."
"I’m going to find Wei’er for lunch."
Tang Ming wiped his mouth, jumped up, and ran outside.
Tang Ming hurried to the door of Xia Wei’er’s classroom as fast as he could. As expected, Xia Wei’er, who often stayed to organize her textbooks after class, hadn’t left yet. There were still a few classmates eating snacks in the classroom.
"Wei’er, wanna grab lunch together?"
Tang Ming stood at the door, grinning as he greeted Xia Wei’er.
"Oh, wait for me a sec."
Seeing Tang Ming come to find her, Xia Wei’er was overjoyed, glanced shyly at her classmates, and quickly got up and walked out.
"Wei’er, what do you feel like eating?"
Tang Ming held Xia Wei’er’s hand and asked enthusiastically.
"Anything’s fine. Aren’t you having lunch with Meng Meng and them?"
Xia Wei’er blushed, casually inquiring.
"Those two are high-class; they only eat at small restaurants. I’m not used to it."
Tang Ming curled his lips and asked concernedly, "If you’re not going home for lunch, won’t your parents be worried?"
"I... actually, I should go home to eat."
Xia Wei’er glanced at Tang Ming and said awkwardly, "My mom has probably already cooked lunch at home."
"Oh? Then let’s go to your place. I really miss your mom’s cooking."
Tang Ming eagerly suggested.
Xia Wei’er blushed deeply, lowering her head, not sure what she was thinking.
When Tang Ming followed Xia Wei’er back to the so-called home, he was completely dumbfounded.
Now Xia Wei’er’s routine had changed from last semester, no longer going to the snack street for lunch, but rather heading to the new house not far from there.
Back when the Ma Family assigned Xia Wei’er’s family a house, considering their shop was on the snack street, they gave a place nearby to woo Tang Ming.
So now, instead of going to the shop, Xia Wei’er could directly go home for lunch and even take a nap.
"Cough, cough. Don’t you need to help out at the shop during lunch anymore?"
After changing into slippers, Tang Ming watched Xia Wei’er reheating dishes in the kitchen and asked weakly.
"My dad has fully recovered, and my parents can manage the shop just fine now."
Busy as she was, Xia Wei’er responded:
"Plus, they said this semester is crucial for the college entrance exam, so they want me to focus on studying and not help at the shop during lunch."
Tang Ming suddenly understood and looked sneakily around the two-bedroom apartment: "So, no one’s home right now?"
Hearing this, Xia Wei’er’s movements froze, then she quietly said, "Yes."
Tang Ming swallowed nervously, feeling a little awkward.
If it were just any couple, finding a moment when the parents weren’t home would be sheer delight. But Tang Ming now felt like he was sneaking around.
What if Xia Wei’er’s parents suddenly returned? How would he explain himself?
Soon, Xia Wei’er brought out three dishes and a soup, along with a pot of rice. "My mom found time to cook lunch; I just have to heat it up when I get back. You eat more rice."
Xia Wei’er knew Tang Ming could eat a lot, and her parents didn’t know she’d bring someone home, so there wasn’t much food.
"No worries, as long as there’s food, it’s fine."
Tang Ming, not minding at all, held his bowl and softly said, "It’s our first time having lunch at your place, just the two of us. It feels... a bit weird."
Blushing, Xia Wei’er didn’t know how to respond but finally said, "After lunch, we can even nap for an hour."
"Cough, cough, cough."
Hearing that, Tang Ming choked on his rice. That was too direct.
"I-I meant we can take a nap,"
Xia Wei’er quickly corrected herself, realizing her slip and nervously watching Tang Ming, "Are you okay?"
"I’m fine, I’m fine. The food’s too good."
Tang Ming ate furiously, mostly to hide his awkwardness and restlessness.
Tang Ming finished his meal in no time, trying to mask his embarrassment and edginess, by clearing everything on the table.
Afterward, Tang Ming sat on the living room sofa playing with his phone, while Xia Wei’er washed the dishes and tidied up.
Tang Ming stared blankly at his phone, but his mind kept replaying Xia Wei’er’s words, "We can still sleep...".
"Tang Ming, you should sleep first; I’ll be done washing soon."
Xia Wei’er busied herself while reminding him.
"No rush, I’ll wait for you."
Tang Ming instinctively replied, then felt something was off, wondering why he needed to wait for someone to take a nap.
A few minutes later, Xia Wei’er finished in the kitchen and came back to the living room, feeling shy.
Tang Ming looked at Xia Wei’er with a silly grin, trying to find something to say.
Xia Wei’er nodded, whispering, "I’m going to nap for a bit. Are you going to sleep?"
Tang Ming looked at Xia Wei’er uncertainly, then quickly said, "You go ahead; I’ll sleep on the sofa."
"The sofa is cold; you should sleep in the room."
Xia Wei’er blushed, said that, and ran towards the bedroom.
Tang Ming looked up, realizing there were only two rooms here: one for Xia Wei’er and another for her parents?
"Don’t sleep in my parents’ room; that wouldn’t be polite."
Just as Tang Ming was contemplating, Xia Wei’er suddenly turned back at the door to remind him and then slipped into her bedroom, leaving the door slightly ajar.
"Wow, such an obvious hint. If I don’t get it now, I’m not even fit to be here."
Tang Ming jumped up and scurried towards Xia Wei’er’s room.
Inside, he saw Xia Wei’er lying on a medium-sized bed, facing away from the door, body tucked towards the inner side.
Seeing that graceful back, Tang Ming swallowed hard, gently approaching the bed and lying down, leaving a 20 cm gap between him and Xia Wei’er.
Xia Wei’er faced away from Tang Ming, hands placed by her neck, clenched in fists. Though her eyes were shut tight, her face was beet red, and her breathing was quite rapid.
The question kept running through Xia Wei’er’s mind, filled with anticipation, fear, and a bit of nervousness.
At some point, Xia Wei’er suddenly felt a large hand on her lower abdomen, with a warm body pressing against her back.
The hand initially rested lightly upon her but then began to press down harder.
Nervously, Xia Wei’er let out a cough instinctively.
That hand’s pressure instantly vanished, and it began to withdraw.
