Chapter 6: Chapter 6

.

I stepped into another division room which was exactly in front of my division room, who knows there were a lot of people in there, and I could join them.

As soon as I held the doorknob of the room, suddenly there was the sound of something falling from behind me.

What's that?

Why does its voice suddenly make goosebumps on my neck?

I ventured to look back.

"Oh my gosh... it's just a mop handle," I grumbled when I saw that it was a mop handle.

"Miss!" I tiptoed when suddenly someone called me from the side.

"Hey! Miss Sushi just surprised me," I said to the figure who was now standing beside me, and I don't know when it came.

"Hehe ... sorry Miss, if I surprised you. I just want to take it," she pointed at the mop that had made my heart almost jump. Miss Sushi is one of the office girls in this office.

"Oh, yeah." I nodded. "By the way, how come the office is so quiet at this hour?" I'll just ask about this. Miss Sushi has been working here for a long time, so she must be familiar with the office.

"Ah, not even Miss Ainsley, the office is still busy at night because many people like to work overtime. At times like today, it's usually a bit quiet because the employees are out to eat," she explained, which instantly made me breathe a sigh of relief. That means I don't work overtime alone in this office, even though none of my friends from the division work overtime. But, at least I can join them from other divisions so I won't be lonely.

"Oh, I see, yes," I said.

========Aufa==========

“Ainsley, who did you go home with?” Doni asked. He was an employee from another division, who happened to be working overtime as well. Even though I'm a new employee, we already know each other.

"Alone," I answered simply.

We walked side by side in the lobby towards the parking lot. One thing I have to be grateful for now is, Alena wants to lend me her motorcycle, otherwise, I'm confused about how to get home.

Indeed, Alena's boarding house is closer to the office than mine, but if you use a vehicle, if you walk, it's quite fair.

"By what?"

"Motorcycle." I don't know why I'm lazy to talk at length now. Besides being late, and my mood was not good, Alena also advised me not to get too close to Doni.

"How about you come with me in the car? It's late, it's not good to go home alone." Doni offers.

"So, how's the motorcycle?" I asked casually, and it wasn't that I wanted to go home with him.

"Just stay, Ainsley, I'll pick you up tomorrow morning. We'll go together tomorrow," said Doni

"Wow, I can't do that. The motorcycle I'm carrying belongs to Alena. Earlier she ordered me to take it home," I said. By this time we had arrived at the parking lot.

"Just tell Alena if you leave the motorcycle at the office. It won't be lost. Tomorrow I'll pick you up with Alena."

"Sorry, it's not that I refuse, but I have promised to take this motorcycle home, and I'm not the type of person who likes to break promises, especially with my friends," I said.

"Okay, that's fine. But, I hope next time we can go home together, okay?" Doni looked at me.

"Yeah... we'll see." I said.

"Well, I go. You be careful when you go home."

After I nodded, Doni left me. And now I live alone in this deserted parking lot. There are only a few motorcycles left, including Alena's motorcycle.

Without wasting any more time, I immediately put on the helmet.

=========Aufa========

I ride the motorcycle cheerfully. For some reason enjoying the night on the highway like this makes my mood a little better. Maybe it's because I haven't been out for a long time.

On the sidewalk, I saw many vendors of tent stalls. I pulled over, intending to buy something to take home later. Count it as a form of my gratitude to Alena.

Now! Incidentally, there is a burger seller. Both I and Alena are fond of the burger. Surely Alena would be happy if I brought it.

"Sir, I ordered two burgers, ok?" I said to the burger seller.

"Okay, Miss."

======Aufa==========

After buying the burger, I immediately went back home. It's already nine o'clock in the evening, so this time I'm spending a little.

In the middle of the road, I suddenly felt there was something strange with the motorcycle, I was forced to pull over again.

"Oh my gosh ... it's late at night with a flat tire anyway," I grumbled as I got off the motorcycle, and checked the condition of the tires. "Where there is no workshop, again."

I paced around in confusion. I want to call Alena can't because my cellphone is the low bat.

"Can I just guide this motorcycle to the boarding house?" I muttered. "But, it's still quite far, what time do you want to arrive at the boarding house?"

I looked at the motorcycle tires, and at the highway in turn. Who knows there's someone I can ask for help.

Without realizing it suddenly a luxury car pulled over beside me.

Eh, how come I understand this white car huh? Have I seen it? But when, and where?

Oh! My God ... this is a luxury car that I threw my shoes at. Yes, although a car like this is not the only one who owns it. Maybe the one who owns the car understands me, and now he's going to curse at me, which at that time didn't happen.

The windshield was lowered. And look at the owner of the car. Hmmm... I'm sorry to know who owns the car.

"Not yet home?" he asked.

"What does it look like," I replied curtly.

The windshield, which had been lowered, was raised again.

Unexpectedly, the owner of the car got out and approached me.

He looked at the motorcycle tires, then he smiled sarcastically. Must be mocking.

"Just tell me the tire is flat." Well, let's start.

"So, what do you care?" Still in a curt tone. I don't know why when I see him, I want to speak harshly.

"I don't care, but since you are now my employee, so ... let me take you home." Wow! The most annoying offer I've ever received.

"No need to bother, this isn't in the office anyway, so there's no such thing as bosses and employees," I said annoyed.

"But it's late at night, you want to spend your night on the side of the highway like this? Danger, especially if you are a girl." His attention is still the same as before.

"Don't worry so much!"

"I'm not paying attention to you. You're just being self-conscious."

What?

I'm excited? Same with him? Impossible!

"Yes, there you go, you better go," I said.

"You know that this area is prone to crime?"

"I'm not afraid!" I said firmly, then looked away because it felt like my cheeks were already hot when I saw the creature named ex.

He cleared his throat. I glanced, he slightly moved away from my place, then started fiddling with his cell phone. Not long after, he was seen calling someone.

I glanced back and forth at the clock on my wrist. It's getting late, and I haven't found a solution so I can get to the boarding house.

I see now he is talking to two men who do not know when to come. Now the two men approached me.

From the looks of the two people's stature, it looks like they are thugs. lest they are thugs who were ordered to harass me.

"Good evening, Miss Ainsley," said one of the people.

"Yeah," I quivered. "What is it,?" And I ventured to ask.

"Can we take a quick look at the motorcycle, Miss?"

"Uh, what do you want?" I started to panic. These two people may want to take this motorbike away.

"Relax, Miss, we're just checking out for a bit."

Without getting my approval, the two of them approached the bike and started checking the tires.

"This is a punctured tire, Miss," said one of the people. "It has to be patched so that it can be reused. But, unfortunately, we don't bring tools to patch it."

I didn't know what to say, so I kept quiet.

"Mr. Brian told us to take this motorcycle to our workshop. Our workshop is not far from here. May we have the motorcycle key, Miss? Tomorrow we will deliver this motorcycle to the office where Miss works."

Brian ordered these two people to take this motorcycle without my knowledge? What rights does he have?"

"But I don't believe it," I said. "What if you want to take this motorcycle for a run?"

"I will replace your motorcycle if they take this motorcycle away," said Brian, who suddenly approached. "Alright, just leave the keys to them."

Okay, I'll just leave it, anyway with this I don't have to bother taking the motorcycle to the repair shop, I just need to pay the bill tomorrow.

"Here, but promise me, don't take it. Because this is my friend's motorcycle." I handed the motorcycle keys to one of the men.

"Don't worry, Miss, we are trustworthy."

Not long after that the motorcycle was pushed by one of the men, and started to move away from where I was standing.

"So how about you, you want to come home with me?"
