Chapter 652: Chapter 652
Chapter 651 The DNA Result
Tom Parker looked at Veronica Parker with relief and emotion. "I didn't expect you to think about me so much. Dad is very happy."
"As long as your heart is on my side, I will help you. You're my real father, right?" Veronica asked him for assurance.
"Yes, nothing in the world can destroy our father-daughter relationship!" Tom said, pushing his glasses.
Veronica glanced quietly at Tom and chewed her food slowly.
When they were almost finished eating, Veronica's cell phone rang.
She picked up and answered. He didn't know what the other person said, but Tom just heard Veronica, "Well, you come and look for me. I'll wait for you in the restaurant." She hung up after saying the address of the restaurant and then told Tom, "You can go ahead now. I still have an appointment."
"Well, I can wait. I'll go back to the office first. The account had already been settled. " Tom stood up. Doubted that he will leave the restaurant, Veronica's phone colluded with Lucy Underwood's messages which she deliberately made for Tom to see.
Veronica did this so she can stay and get the fork that Tom used.
If Tom was here, she wouldn't be able to take it. She would have to walk out and come back together. But she's afraid that the waiter might have taken away the cutlery by the time she gets back.
As soon as Tom left, Veronica took the fork that he used and hurried out.
She went straight to the hospital.
She was in a hurry and brought the stuffed red envelope to the doctor saying, "I hope they can hurry up."
This is more urgent than the maternity test for her and Chloe Bowen!
Veronica just sat in the hospital and waited.
After waiting for three hours, the report came out!
When the report reached Veronica and saw the result, her hand trembled suddenly.
She wanted to ask the doctor, "Is this result true? Was there a mistake?
But how could the doctor be wrong?"
As for the result, she was really not related to Tom Parker!
Veronica was cold from head to foot.
Earlier that morning, while working, she still thought maybe she guessed wrong that Tom Parker is not her real father. Was it possible that she just popped out of a stone?
But the results now told her that her suspicion was correct.
Veronica was bewildered by her background and sat feebly in the hallway seat, staring at the report in her hand in a daze.
With mixed feelings and grievances.
Was it because she was not Tom Parker's daughter that she was beaten by him when she was young?
"I'm not their own child anyway, how would I fight that and not be distressed, right?"
She was not a granddaughter of her grandma and her grandma didn't know. If her grandma was still alive and found out that her beloved granddaughter wasn't blood-related, not a real Parker, she will definitely be disappointed.
Hatred sprang up in Veronica's heart.
When she was young, she never realized what kinship was at home in the country.
"Mother is not my real mother. Father was not my real father." None of them turned out to be her biological parents. What could be more outrageous than that?
She didn't even know why they're keeping her. Wasn't it better if they just threw her directly into the orphanage rather than keep her?
Tom knew full well that she was not her own daughter and never told her! He not only abused her, but he also used her as she grew up.
"It was disgusting!"
Veronica sat there, crying angrily, tears falling one by one, "Whose child am I then? Where are my real parents? Why didn't they get me?"
A kind-hearted old man saw Veronica crying so bitterly and asked, "What's the matter, child?"
"Thank you for asking, but I'm fine," Veronica answered and wiped the damp on her face.
The old man looked at the paper in Veronica's hand with his presbyopia. He thought he knew what was going on so, he asked, "Is it a terminal illness?"
Veronica stared at the old man.
Seeing the fearful look in her eyes, the old man sighed, "It's a pity that she is young."
With that, he shook his head and walked away with a bent body.
Veronica looked dull, "Aren't you here to comfort me? Obviously not."
Veronica sat there for a long time, calming down.
Thinking about why Tom would do such a thing.
When he got married for the first time, he had a daughter with Chloe but she was not his own daughter.
When he got married for the second time, since Sarah had a son and a daughter, she didn't have a child with him.
"But what man doesn't want to have children of his own?
Sarah loves Tom so much, but why didn't she want to give him a baby?
For a suspicious and sick woman like Sarah, isn't it more likely to tie the heart of her husband by giving birth to his child?" Veronica was bewildered.
