"How dare you?" Clare Parker turned red and her nose flared in anger. Veronica Parker's words hit her like a sharp knife.
Tom Parker tried to prevent the fight between the two and he said persuasively, "All right, how come you are all fighting late in the evening? Why not just take a rest? You must both be tired already."
As soon as Veronica Parker and Clare Parker heard him, they both looked at him furiously.
Tom Parker walked aside awkwardly.
"Do you think there wasn't a Nick Cage in my list of men?" Clare Parker said as she controlled her emotions. She further confronted Veronica Parker, "You never knew Veronica, and how can you prove that he didn't? Men are visual animals and there is nothing beautiful that they don't like!"
Veronica Parker suppressed her anger as she looked at her calmly and said, "You have too much confidence, Clare. I'm embarrassed for you. You're only a bitch so you must act like one. Most people were born human but you were born a bitch with your thick skin. Why don't you look at yourself first in the mirror, Clare?"
"Who are you scolding?" Sarah North came over angrily, she rushed to Veronica Parker and pointed to her face. Her sharp nails almost poked Veronica Parker's delicate skin, "Tell me!"
Tom Parker was startled for a moment before he hurriedly stopped Sarah North and dragged her away from Veronica Parker, "Calm down, it's only normal for children to quarrel!"
If they had hurt Veronica Parker then Nick Cage would kill them.
Sarah North was so angry that he slapped Tom Parker in the face, "You sit here and listen to your daughter scold Clare? Did you hear how arrogant she was? Why didn't you stopped, Veronica? Are you deaf?"
Tom Parker's eyeglasses had been put out of place because of Sarah North's force. He looked at her with his eyes filled with anger. He raised his right hand to put back his eyeglasses into place.
Veronica Parker finally spoke, "Sarah North, you really disrespect my father, don't you? You treat him as if he was not a man but only a dog to the North family. He can fight and scold anyone if he wants to. You are really being ungrateful to my father who keeps saying good things to me about you, Elton Parker, and Clare Parker for the sake of your business. Dad, why don't you just cut off your relationship with such a family? Anyway, when Nick Cage helps you then you can venture any business you want."
When Sarah North heard what Veronica Parker said, she immediately retorted, "When did I ever disrespect your father? I had always taken him seriously! Veronica Parker, don't create lies here!"
"Is that the case? Didn't you slap my dad just now? Am I wrong?" Veronica Parker raised her eyebrows, "You just hit my father in front of my eyes and scold him. You really step on his pride this time!"
Tom Parker clenched his teeth, he tried to look calm and keep his silence.
Sarah North couldn't help but felt guilty when she looked at Tom Parker. She was caught off guard for as humiliating him in front of his daughter.
"It's only because I was angry. It's because of you!" Sarah North said as she pointed her finger at Veronica Parker. "You are the pest in the family!"
"Am I a pest?" Veronica Parker smiled coldly, "Well, in that case, I will dig into your dirt as a pest will do."
Sarah North was surprised by what Veronica Parker said. Her words were too intimidating for her. She couldn't tell if it's because of Veronica Parker or because of Nick Cage who always back her up.
Clare Parker looked at her with hatred, "What are you planning to do?"
"I will make you tell people that you only set-up Rachel Hamilton," Veronica Parker said.
"Are you kidding me?" Clare Parker asked.
"Why? Does that sound funny to you?" Veronica Parker said with a hint of a smile on her face.
"Are you trying to help Rachel Hamilton?"
"I am not helping her. I'm only doing it because I hate you. I thought the drug was only between you and Rachel Hamilton but it turned out that you're also planning to do it to me.."
