Rachel would certainly lose her entire career should the matter won't be handled properly. There was no way that Clare would let go of the investigation. The recordings are all out and their issue spread like a wildfire.

While Veronica was reading comments about the recording during her spare time, the office door opened without her consent.

Veronica hurriedly shut the webpage and acted nonchalantly. Rachel sat on the sofa beside her and wrapped her arms around her chest. "I'll give you a chance to get revenge."

Veronica pondered about it for a few seconds. "Close the door." She eventually said.

Outside the door were different TV Station colleagues so Rachel got up and close the door so they can have some privacy.

"We should work together to kill that bitch!" Rachel referred to Clare. Her face was haughty as if she's not asking for Veronica's help.

"I think you're taking it a bit seriously. I don't really care about your issue. I don't even recognize the four girls in the entertainment industry!" Veronica stated as a matter of fact.

"Well, all you have to do is recognize me! Don't mind the others! They're all rubbish who are not worthy of your time."

Veronica was aware of the fact that a lot of people already knew that she had a conversation with Rachel. They were even squinting and staring at her on her way in.

"You must be talking to the wrong person. You know that Clare and I are close families, right?"

"Even though she is a family of yours, it doesn't change the fact that she used you to frame me. I might be the one who prescribed the medicine but it was her idea! Don't you want revenge?"

Veronica just looked at her in a disinterested manner.

"Have you been to her place and settle the matter between you?"

"I already called her and it all went to nothing. She's so full of herself."

"You can't blame me. I already warned you but you paid no heed so I can't promise you that I will cooperate with your plan." Veronica said leisurely.

"You really think that you can stay out of trouble? Clare had already done damage to you and it is not guaranteed that she won't do it again. Does it even occur to you that you might be her next victim?" Rachel finally said something with sense.

Veronica was fully aware of Rachel's ultimate goal. She wanted nothing but to get Nick and be a stepmother to her six children.

"So, what do you think? If you cooperate with my plan this time, I will not bother you again." Rachel coaxed. She noticed that Veronica was still hesitant about her offer.

"All right, if you agree, I can spill you a secret." She added to make her offer more enticing.

"What is it about?" Veronica asked intrigued.

"It's about your father's wedding anniversary." Rachel proudly said.

"The anniversary has long passed but Clare has still got no idea of my plan for her." Despite telling it, Rachel noticed that Veronica was still quiet so she grew a little impatient.

"What on earth are you worried about? Given your relationship with Nick, nobody would dare mess with you."

Veronica stared at Rachel speechless. She wondered if she meant that as a compliment or sarcasm.

"Are you cooperating or not?" Rachel could no longer help to raise her voice as she became very impatient with Veronica's indecisiveness.
