"I'm innocent... I'm free... " I said to myself while smiling

“Yes, you have always been.” Wilson said I hugged him and gave me the hugs

After two days

"Today we're going to another herd that's four hours away from ours, try four hours," Wilson said to me as we were eating breakfast.

"Why? And which herd?"

"The White Crescent's flock, it's my cousin's flock and they have their second daughter's birthday party so we should go" he explained to me as I nodded.

“White Crescent’s flock was your mother’s previous flock?”5

“Yes, my mother’s brother was an alpha, but his son Zach took the position many years ago,” he explained to me to begin with his family.

"Okay, but it's too far. Shall we sleep there?" I asked him

" We will see that "

"Okay, when do we go?"

"In a few hours, let's go to the party," he replied, so let's stand up and go out together

"Are you excited?" Ask me Wilson

“Yes, I mean, I will learn to be a healer, how not to be excited.” I replied with a smile

“Then if you encounter any kind of difficulty, tell me,” he said5

I nodded and we parted to go to the hospital

I'm going to start learning in small steps, I walked into Charlotte's office who already knew I was coming

“I’m happy with your decision, Luna, to sit here.” She said to me, smiling at her, and sitting at the desk

"I chose some books for you from here, it will be your start, try to read them and write any abbreviation or understanding for you so that you can remember that in the future and if you don't understand anything you can just ask me about it telepathy is always open to you Luna, I will go for my rounds in the hospital" she said to me as I nodded to her To go out and grab the first book to open it and start reading it's not like I'm bad at reading I've been trying to find time every now and then to read anything in the old herd

I didn't feel the time because I immersed myself in books and understanding I heard a knock on the desk to look up

"My little doctor, can I take my girlfriend now?" Wilson said, smiling at me

"Why do you want to take it?"

“Because I need it, I can’t breathe without it.” I laughed at his exaggeration, before standing up and following him to go home.

I collected my clothes and Wilson's before we headed to the car to set out on our journey to the White Crescent herd

We stopped to eat before we completed the long four-hour journey

"We've arrived," Wilson said to me as we entered, I think, the herd's entrance.

Only seconds and I saw someone walking towards us hugging Wilson

“How are you, Zack?” Wilson asked

" good, what about you ??" He replied, as they pulled away from each other's arms

“Good, then, how does it feel to be a father to a second child?” Wilson asked, smiling at him

“Wonderful, I think you will know him soon, since your girlfriend has finally appeared.” He said to him, looking at me

“Hello Alpha, I’m Cassandra.” I said as I extended my hand to shake hands

"You're welcome Cassandra, you can just call me Zac, we're family after all," he says to me, nodding

"Then let's go in, we'll start our party in a little while," he says, and Wilson holds my hand and we head back to the back of the house. I think they're having a party in their backyard.

We went in to find several people there sitting at a different table. Wilson and I took one of the tables, but soon went to say hello to someone.

I sat watching everyone until someone caught my eye to find him looking at me too, but as soon as he looked at me he started heading towards the forest, away from the party venue.

"It's been a long time," he told me

“It is,” I replied

"The council contacted me in a confidential manner, wanting to take my testimony in the case of the murder of the former alpha, and concluded that it was about you," said Jayce.5th

“Yes, I gave them your name, don’t you also know the truth??? Isn’t that why you helped me?” I said to him

"Maybe, but you've been silent about it for years, do you think that will change now?"

"Send your mate to us in our herd and we'll ensure her full protection." I heard Wilson's voice behind me, and I turned around to see him step up to stand next to me and we both looked at Jace.

" what ?" Jess asked him

"I know you're only hesitant out of fear for your mate and your son, so I'm going to be tasked with protecting them in our herd. I know you can find a way to send them out of the herd, and from there I can take care of that," Wilson said, making Jace seem to be thinking about it.

“I will bring them to you tomorrow to the limits of the human city of the White Crescent Flock, that is what I can.”

"It's okay, I'll take care of it later."

"Okay, after that I will contact the council in any way and I will prove your innocence, Cassandra. I apologize for not helping you before. I'm just..."

"I was afraid for your girlfriend, I know she was weak physically after she gave birth to your child, I know that I was part of that herd at some point and also you helped me, thanks to you I was able to escape and I was able to survive" I told him, putting a small smile

"I'm going now. I only came today on behalf of the Alpha, since our herd is on good terms with this herd," he told us.

“So tomorrow,” Wilson said, and Jace nodded and walked away

"Is this a plan from you, Wilson?" I asked him, looking at him suspiciously

"I kind of mean I knew he was going to be here and the council contacted me saying they had failed to convince him so I had to act," Wilson explained to me with a smile.

"You're smart" I told him

“I know,” he said arrogantly, laughing at him

"You remind me of Nicholas" I told him to change his features

“Well, since you mentioned the topic, let’s open it up. What was your relationship with him?” He said, getting closer to me

“What relationship? There is no relationship” I said as I walked back as he moved forward

“Really?? Why did you run to him when you ran away?”

"I didn't run to him, I just asked for help since he owed me," I replied, still looking back .

“But you remained in his herd, where did you sleep?”

“In a room by myself,” I replied, my back crashing into the tree. He surrounded me. He put both hands around my head to prevent me from moving or running away.

"But you were at his house."

"Wilson, you're overdoing it, you should thank him because he was a really good friend even if I was trying not to make a friend," I told him.

“Really?” he said, still carrying those expressions that indicated that he was upset

“Why are you so angry and upset?? He didn’t do anything wrong.” I said to him calmly

"Can't you see that?? I'm jealous."

"You're jealous of Nico...." I didn't finish my sentence because Wilson's lips closed my mouth in a deep kiss, I felt his hand come down to my waist to bring me closer to his hug for just a few seconds and I felt his tongue asking to come in to surrender to him

I didn't know how much time had passed in our kiss, but I felt like someone was watching us. I tried to get away from Wilson, who didn't seem to be interested in anyone, and as he kept kissing me I tried to move more to separate him from me.

"Why are you so mobile...in bed, in the woods, anywhere," said Wesson, annoyed that I separated the kiss from him.

“Because someone is watching us.” I told him to look behind him

"Elsa, what are you doing there?" Wilson asked her to bring out a child I thought was eight or under

“I came to see you, my dad told me you were here.” She said excitedly as she ran towards him, and he lowered her level to hug her and hold her.

"Cassandra is Zack's first child," Wilson told me

"Hello, Elsa," I told her to smile at me

"Hey, Aunt Cassandra," she said, and Wilson pulled her down. I grabbed his hand and I grabbed her other. Let's go back to the party.

The next day

After saying goodbye to everyone, Wilson and I set out to reach the limits of the human city of the White Crescent herd, as we agreed yesterday with Jace.

We sat in the car waiting for him, and after a while we saw a car standing across from us. Wilson and I got down to see Jace get out of the car, with his girlfriend and their son, they came towards us.

"Don't worry, they'll be safe," Wilson said, making Jace seem more comfortable. Jace looked at his girlfriend that they needed their time.

“Hello, I think you’re Henry right? ” asked their ten-year-old son

" yes "

“So shall we go to the car first?” I asked him to nod

I took his hand to go to the car and open for him to get in. I looked at Wilson, who was already in the car, to ride next to him, waiting for the two friends to complete their short farewell, only seconds, and his  Mate  came to get in the car. Jace came in front of my window.

"I'll count on you," he told me, as I nodded

"Don't worry and also as soon as you're done let the council take care of that and go back to the red moon flock our doors are open" I told him to nod for me and move away to go

I looked behind me to see his girlfriend carrying an expression of sadness, of course the idea of her being separated from her boyfriend is painful

“Everything will be fine,” I told her, smiling softly at me. She turned to look in front of me

Just a few seconds later, I felt Wilson's hand hold mine as a kind of consolation. I smiled at him as we drove off.
