Allison's POV

I walked out of the office and started walking toward Andrew's house.

He must not want me, or he does not want a mate from another herd, or did I not satisfy his aspirations for the companion he wanted?

I felt my head hurt from thinking too much, I went home and headed to the kitchen

"How was your first day, Alison?" I was asked by Adele who was making dinner

“So cool that I was going to jail” I answered her to stop her work and look at me

"What??? what happened???"

"It's just a simple misunderstanding that Andrew will tell you about later. Let me help you."

" OK "

" what should I do ??" I said as I walked towards her

"How do you feel about setting the table?" She told me nervously

"I told you Megan right? I'm bad at cooking" I told her

“Yes, but I don’t mean to make you sad.” I admitted with regret

"I know it's not a great thing, I really can't cook."

"So you're going to set the table?"

"Of course I went to the closet and started pulling out the plates and spoons."

“If there is a problem, you must have met the alpha,” she told me

" how ?" I asked her, feeling curious

I went to the table and started to count it. I heard the door close and I saw Andrew wink at me before he came forward and hugged his girlfriend. I heard my phone ring to grab him, it's my brother

“Andrew, don’t tell me you said what happened to my brother today .” He parted from his embrace and looked at me

"I didn't tell him anything. He called to ask about your condition. I didn't tell him anything but that you almost went to prison because of helping someone who was being bullied," he replied.

"Andrew, I hate you" I yelled at him to open the line

“I know you love me,” Andrew told me before I heard my brother screaming on the phone

"Allison, damn it, didn't I tell you not to make trouble?"

"I didn't make any trouble, I just walked around in peace."

"Alison, it's no time to joke around."

"Brother, I'm sorry, but I don't regret what I did, and if I encounter the same thing in the future, I will do the same, because you taught me to defend the weak." I said using my card. I waited a little while to hear him let out a sigh of relief.

"Not a single scratch"

"Okay, I gave up. I'll call the Alpha tomorrow and ask that you come back here. I thought that if you walked away, you'd be able to get over this, but apparently I was wrong. You're getting yourself into more trouble there."

"What? No! I mean, I want to stay here," I said, turning around to look at Andrew, trying to help me convince my brother. He came in front of me, took the phone, and walked away from me so I wouldn't hear their conversation, and then put the phone back to me.

“Okay, I agreed to keep you there until your term expires,” my brother said over the phone

"Thank you brother, don't worry, I'm fine and I'll be fine."

"That's all I care about, take care of yourself."

"Yes, bye." I hung up and looked at Andrew

"What did you tell him?? Please don't tell me what's on my mind right now."

"What? You found your mate?" He told me he was having fun

Andrew yelled at him again

"What? Rafiq? Who is it?" Adele walked up asking and Andrew started laughing

"I'll tell you later Adele, don't worry Alison, I didn't tell him that, I know the one who should tell him is you and no one else. I convinced him I'd keep you safer," he replied, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, you're okay, right?"

"Okay, let's eat, it's getting late," Adele said as she put the last plate on the table, and after we were done, I went to my room and went into the bathroom. I heard a knock on the door, followed by Andrew entering and I sat on the bed

"Let's talk a little, Alison."

"Go ahead," I told him to come forward and sit next to me

"I know you are now confused and there must be a thousand questions running through your mind, so I need you to promise me one thing, Alison."

" What is the ?"

"Just don't give up on him."

" what ?"

"William will try to stay away from you and stay as far away as possible, he has suffered a lot and is still suffering now unfortunately, so he does not come close to anyone but me, I am his only friend and I know him the most, so I ask you to have a little patience, I know that you are the key to his happiness and I do not want to He's losing you, so can I ask you this as a friend and as a brother to you?" “I see.” He got up from the bed

"Then go to sleep, who knows tomorrow who you will beat or where you will put yourself, perhaps in the border or anywhere that threatens your life," he said mockingly, holding the pillow and throwing it at him to catch him and bring it back to me while we laughed, he came out of the room to try to sleep.

Andrew's POV

When Alison came out of the office, she looked at William

"Then shall I say congratulations my friend?" I told him to look up at me

"Don't be joking, you know that this won't change anything, I'm going away from her, so keep this in your mind."

"Really? Why were you looking at her so much a while ago? I thought you'd jump on her and tag her right now."

“I just couldn’t believe it. It seemed strange to have a companion for a monster like me.” He answered me frankly
