“Stop making it sound so easy,” Carmine stated, and what did he mean by that?

Gérard laughed. “I said what I said, and no one should stop me. You should also think about yourself as well.”

Carmine frowned. “And what was that supposed to mean?”

“Face reality,” Gérard said without looking back at us. “Later.” He uttered and walked out on us, and from that day on, he seriously avoided me, and I didn’t know what to do.

I became lost, unsure of the next direction to take, after I ran away from Carmine, ignoring him no matter how many times he called after me.

I didn’t want to speak to him or anyone else. I was just down and devastated, waking up early in the morning, going to school, coming back to the clan, and walking straight to my room.

That became my routine; I didn’t want to talk to anyone, and after what Gérard did to me, I became a hopeless puppy.

Rumours out of the blue spread all over the palace about how Gérard and I were spotted kissing at the Pleasure House.

I was dumbfounded, and everything around me felt like it was crumbling apart.

What the hell have I done?

I ran out of my room when I spotted some maids gossiping in a corner.

“Is it true?” The first red-haired one asked with a shock.

The second answered. “Of course, rumours are spreading around like wildfire, and within a matter of time, the realms will hear about it. If it’s not already spreading around, you know this could lead to questions for Princess Oceana and a stain to her reputation.”

“No, this can’t be true.” The third one disagreed. “Alpha Gérard will have our heads. If he hears these words from our mouth. And besides, why did they kiss in such a public area when they both know it is dangerous? Alpha Oceana can’t do such a thing with her brother. It’s disgusting. Alpha Gérard is married for crying out loud.’

“Of course, everyone knows he is married, but he has been spotted recently in the pleasure house a couple of times with lots of prostitutes, and even the rumours say…” she looked around suspiciously, lowered her voice, and continued. “He does threesomes with them, and his wife doesn’t satisfy him enough, so he finds it somewhere else.” The second one is explained.

“That’s ridiculous. What puzzles me more is why will he kiss his sister; it’s sickening. This is the famous Alpha Gérard we are talking about. Everybody loves him. He is one with a good heart, handsome, powerful and he has so much value. Why go for his sister? He’s married and there are thousands of women he could be with.' The first girl asked.

“That’s what I’m also wondering. Are you sure it was his sister the person saw, or someone who looked similar to Alpha Oceana? She can’t do such a thing; she loved her brother but not to the extent of kissing him.”

“You guys are not getting the point.” The third girl stressed as she rolled her eyes at them. “Haven’t you noticed the strange things that have been happening? Oceana has been behaving weirdly and worse, even last night, she was missing from her chambers, and some outfits were also missing in her room when I came to check on her before going to bed. That means before she left that night, she disguised herself, sneaked out, and went to the Pleasure House.”

“To do what?’ One of them asked.

“Maybe to have one-night stands with some Alpha or Gerard. Just because she’s a princess doesn’t mean she does not have hormones, blood flowing through her veins. It could be she couldn’t hold her pussy from screaming to be fucked and had to seek comfort from the Pleasure House. You know, she doesn’t have a boyfriend; she must be pretty bored and lonely. “Guards!” I ordered, and they all came rushing in. “Yes, Alpha Oceana.”

“You heard what I said. Teach her what she deserves and give this person a lesson, the same as the others, for being an accomplice to the rumours of the realms.”

“Yes, Alpha Oceana.’ They all bowed and grabbed the three of them by the necks.

They all screamed and begged, but I turned a deaf ear to their cries; they don’t deserve any mercy after what they did to me, and that should teach the others to shut up their trap too.

“Please, we won’t do it again. Spare my life, Alpha Oceana, please.’

“Don’t you think you are being too harsh on them?” I looked behind me and knew it was Emily.

I frowned and took a few steps towards her.

What the fuck is she doing here?

“And how is that your business? Do you prefer I kill them instead?”

“I never said that.”

“Then what exactly is your point, Emily?”

“You know my point. Don’t pretend not to know what I’m talking about.’

“How will I pretend to know something I don’t know? Unless you know something that I don’t.” I smirked.
