When Elena heard Chase's words, she was infuriated.

She rushed to Chase and yelled, "Could you not jinx it? Who do you think you are? You are just a security guard in our company. I've been kind to you since you're treating me! You better mind your tongue. Don't you think that I'm scared of you!"

Chase tittered without any further explanation.

Elena would not believe him anyway.

Elena tamed down her irritation when she noticed that Chase fell silent. She sat down in front of Chase and squealed, "Hurry up!"

She closed her eyes and followed Chase's instructions shamefully as he started the treatment.

She could not wait for this day to pass. It would be her last treatment with him!

Once this was over, she could completely get rid of this demon.

When that happened, she could snap him with just a finger!

Chase took the Needles of Ruby Flower out and started the acupuncture for her with full concentration.

Right then, Olivia was in her office. The more she thought about it, the more furious she was. Hence, she picked up the phone and called Chloe.

Chloe was reprimanded by Olivia so badly. Chloe did not know what was wrong with Olivia. She felt as if she had been humiliated.

After Olivia told Chloe about Chase's behavior, Chloe fell silent instantly.

Olivia could not see Chloe's expression over the phone.

"Why aren't you speaking? Are you admitting to it?" Olivia asked viciously on the phone.

"Olivia, do you know that there is a group on my side, called the Revengers? Do you want to join it?" Chloe asked abruptly.

What group are you talking about? What's wrong with you? I won't join any weird group of yours!"

Chloe grinned and teased inwardly,"Well, look at how angry you are. Soon you will realize your mistake."

"I believe that we will meet in the group in no time."

"Forget it, why am I telling you this? Anyway, I bet you have much more free time now that you have kicked this little b*stard to my side. I must have done something wrong in my past life that I ran into this guy! I'll talk to you later. I have something else to attend to." Irate, Olivia hung up the phone right away.

Chase treated Elena for more than half an hour in her office before withdrawing the needles and removing her blindfold.

Elena put on her clothes in front of Chase skillfully. Her face was not as red as before.

After tidying herself up, she stared at Chase with a solemn expression.

Chase spoke, "Spit it if you have anything to say."

Elena asked immediately, "You said that I would require three courses of treatment. Now that all three courses of treatment are completed, is my illness completely cured?"

Chase nodded. "Well, you can say so."

Elena confirmed with him again, "So, I don't have to receive any more treatment from you again, right?"

Amused, Chase replied, "I am more than willing to help you out if you insist on having more sessions with me. I will always help you." He deliberately drawled the last line.

Fury surged through Elena again.

She had had enough with this guy!

What was he trying to hint at here?

She was a celebrity; why would she want to continue to humiliate herself?

"Get lost!" roared Elena.

However, it was undeniable that her mood had turned much better.

She was finally free from the misery!

She had escaped from his claw!

She did not need to be tortured by this guy anymore!

Never would she have to live in shame again!

"Great! Thank you for treating me! Now, please leave my office, and we will never meet again!" said Elena with a blissful smile.

She was so happy that she could finally stop meeting this b*stard.

She would be on cloud nine if she could not see him forever.

Such bliss.

However, Chase showed a weird smile and asked, "You really don't want us to meet again, huh? Perhaps, you will beg me to meet you again."

Elena replied without hesitation,"Hmph, who do you t think you are? Don't you know who I am? If it weren't for your treatment, we would never have crossed paths. We will stay as strangers even after these treatments. You should not have any second thoughts about me! I will NOT see you again! Not over my dead body! Please leave my office, NOW."

Amused by Elena's prideful reply, Chase looked at her and shook his head. He then turned around and walked out of the room.

Elena closed the door forcefully, thereby ending all her relationship with him.

She was in a great mood.

Her illness was finally cured. The next thing waiting for her should be a piece of good news.

It was really her lucky day.

Not long after, Elena's phone rang.

As soon as she saw that it was from Linda, she picked it up immediately and asked eagerly, "How's it going? Am I going to take the lead role? Did they discuss it in the shareholder's meeting this morning?"

On the phone, Linda answered furiously, "They have discussed it. I'm here to tell you bad news. All of the shareholders.agreed to have you to be in the leading role, but our new director decided to postpone this matter. It seems like he's going to substitute you with someone else."

When Elena heard this, her head throbbed!

Substitute her?!

She began to tremble with uneasiness.

She had been thinking about getting this role day and night!

To get this role, she event underwent three shameful courses of treatment from that little b*stard!

It was all because she hoped to recover faster to devote herself to the film!

Now, she was told that she might get substituted!

Who the hell was that director?

Such evil!

Thinking of this, Elena's gaze became fierce instantly. She shouted, "I'm going to kill him!"

After she said this, she hung up the phone, opened the door and flounced out of the room!

She decided to go straight to the office of this new director!

She had to confront him face-to-face!

She wanted to ask him the reason he did not choose her. No one would be more qualified than her to take on this role!

Breathless with anger, Elena strode toward Chase's office. When she saw the office door was left ajar, she hissed, "I'll not give you any chance to flee this time!"

She walked over and opened the door, only to see a man standing in front of the window with his back facing her. He was holding a cup of tea in his hand as if he was enjoying a rare type of tea.

Elena marched towards him immediately while suppressing her anger. "Hello, are you the new director of our company? I am Elena Koo. We should have met last time but something unforeseen came up, unfortunately. I'm so sorry. I'm here today to discuss a rather important issue with you."

Right then, the man turned around and answered with a gentle smile, "Welcome, my long-awaited guest.
