Chapter 119: Chapter 119

Winter's POV

"Here, have some hot chocolate first." Matthew sat next to me as he placed a glass of water on the center table.

He brought me to an inn after what happened a while ago. I told him that I want to be away from everyone for a while.

"Matthew."

"Hmm?"

"Elisse... We should have brought her with us."

He shook his head. "Don't worry, I'll get her tomorrow morning. I have also told Maggie and the others to watch after her."

"Okay..."

"A-Are you alright? N-No, I mean, what do you want to do? Do you want to eat or something?" he asked, obviously worried about me.

I heaved a sigh and slowly nodded my head. "I think I'll just eat..."

"Okay. Wait for me here, okay? I'll prepare something for you."

"Okay.."

I leaned on the couch as I pulled the blanket and covered myself with it while waiting for Matthew.

It only took thirty minutes before he finally brought some food and placed them on the center table.

"It's Almond Butter Curry."

"You do know a lot of cuisines, huh?"

He smiled as he sat next to me. "I just like reading cookbooks when I'm bored."

"You're so fond of reading that you get to read every kind of book."

"That's right." he chuckled.

We started eating without saying anything. I know even Matthew doesn't know what to say that wouldn't offend me. For sure, he wants to ask me about something, but he's just afraid it might hurt me even more.

"Matthew. Do they have whiskey here? Or any alcoholic drink?"

He obviously got surprised about what I just asked him. I thought he would tell me not to drink, but he just nodded his head. "I think they have here. Let's drink some whiskey. Let's get drunk if you want to."

"Thank you..."

It didn't take him a while to come back with two bottles of whiskey and wine glasses.

"Here it is."

"I just noticed that there aren't any people here. Where are those women who welcomed us a while ago?" I asked him.

Matthew shrugged. "I just asked them to leave us here. I have rented this place for one night."

"But they seem to know you a while ago and you also know where the things are located at. Do you own this place?" I kidded.

"H-Huh? No. I-I just guessed it all right. By the way, shall we start drinking already?"

"Okay."

Matthew and I continue drinking the whiskey that he brought. He just kept on staring at me as if waiting for me to say something as we drink.

All of a sudden, tears started streaming down my face when I remembered what just happened this morning.

"Now, I'm really alone. How did I even believe all of those excuses grandpa tells me all the time? I'm such a fool to really think they are my real parents when they never even treated me like one..." I continue drinking whiskey while tears were cascading down my cheeks. "They only cared about Summer. They only watch after her and they always give her the best because Summer is their only daughter. And me? I'm just a bitter outsider who did all her best to be noticed by those people that are not even blood-related to me!"

Matthew just kept listening to all of my complains. He just let me scream and let out all the hatred and pain that I kept inside my heart for a long time.

"All of the people around me leaves me after a while. My friends, my fans, my first love, and even my real family. How funny. Why do I even exist only to be left and fooled by people I love?! I'm so sick of this life! I'm so sick of all the people around me! I wish I would just die! I wish---

Before I could even finish what I was saying, Matthew cupped both of my cheeks and moved his face closer to mine until his lips touched mine. I was taken aback by his sudden move, but I closed my eyes and kissed him back.

I could taste the whiskey in his mouth. Tears were still streaming down my face, but the way Matthew was kissing me made my whole body feel warm. He gently pushed me down to the couch without leaving my lips.

I put my arms around his shoulders as our kisses were becoming more passionate.

Matthew suddenly moved away from me, making me look at him with furrowed brows. He wiped the tears from my eyes.

"What do you want me to do?" he asked in the most gentle voice.

"Kiss me.. Kiss me more... Make me forget about all of it...."

As if he was just waiting for my signal, Matthew claimed my lips again and this time, it was more aggressive. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he slowly lifted me up while we were still kissing.

The next thing I know, we were already inside the bedroom. Matthew took off the sweater that he was wearing and kissed me again.

His kisses went down to my neck while his right hand was on the hem of my sweater, slowly pulling it up. I could feel my every breathe getting heavier as he continously pulled my sweater up until it reached my waist.

"Winter..." he was looking at me with pleading eyes.

I then bit my lower lip and nodded my head at him. With that, he took off my sweater and threw it to the floor, showing only my bra. I could see his ears turning red as he saw my body.

I grabbed him by the nape and kissed him again.

Matthew made me forget about all my problems that night. He made me feel loved, and worthy. He made love to me in the most gentle way that I didn't even feel the hurt.

"I love you so much...." I whispered between my moans.
