Chapter 507: Chapter 507

On the afternoon of August 10th, Japan time, over a stretch of sea near Osaka.

Above the azure sea, two fighter jets with red and blue colors, one following the other, flew slowly through the sea of clouds like giant eagles that had tucked in their wings.

They were heading towards the Nameless Island near Osaka, aiming to recon the environment on the island.

These two fighter jets were creations of Rainbow Wings’ "Overloader" Garfield’s superpower—he could store large amounts of metal, special materials, and even the body parts of some fantastic creatures, and perfectly combine them to create some kind of combat device or transportation tool.

Because Garfield was rather young, he often created things with a strong comic-like and visually striking appearance, much like the cartoonish look of these two fighter jets.

Under Garfield’s conscious creation, the fighter jets were equipped with autopilot mode and could also be controlled via voice command at crucial moments, requiring no effort to operate.

At this moment, the fighter jets simultaneously activated their camouflage mode, gradually turning into a formless white, melding into the center of the clouds.

Inside the lead fighter jet were four silhouettes, namely Garfield, Oda Ehgo, Gu Qiye, and You Ruirui.

Urushibara Ryuri was sitting inside the other fighter jet, and before the operation began, she had placed diamond-shaped marks on the four people previously mentioned. Thıs content belongs to 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵⚑𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮⚑𝓷𝓮𝓽

After that, the jet she was on would stop over the exterior of the Nameless Island, while the jet carrying the other four would enter the island to gather intel on the enemy.

If they came under attack by the Bee Race, Urushibara Ryuri would immediately use her superpower to pull them back from the fighter jet, avoiding entanglement.

Then they would ride this backup fighter jet to evacuate from the island, return to Osaka, and report the obtained geographical intelligence to the higher-ups.

The cabin of the Number One fighter jet was quite cramped, barely fitting the four people.

At the moment, Oda Ehgo had his arms tucked inside the sleeves of his black kimono, resting with his eyes closed.

Gu Qiye looked up at the interior colors of the cabin and asked Garfield, "I have a question, why is your fighter jet’s color scheme so... gaudy?"

"Doesn’t it look good? Red and blue colors are so vibrant and impactful." Garfield sat in the front, lounging on the seat, playing on his phone.

There were still five minutes of travel before reaching the Nameless Island, and he was quite idle.

"A three-year-old’s taste." You Ruirui said.

"This color scheme reminds me of Action Mask from ’Crayon Shin-chan’." Gu Qiye said.

"I didn’t expect our Mr. Blue Arc to be so childish." Garfield retorted, "You could actually cross your arms, strike a pose to shoot out electricity, and shout ’Dynamic Light Beam,’ that would definitely boost your popularity."

"Correction, Blue Arc is dead; he’s now Black Flash." You Ruirui said calmly.

"Can’t you tell I’m being sarcastic? Saying I am childish, yet this guy is using ’Crayon Shin-chan’ as an analogy. Really crying thief while catching a thief here."

Garfield said as he raised his collar to cover his mouth, the drooping blue bangs covering his eyes.

Gu Qiye chuckled nonchalantly, "Actually, I once thought about it. The association asked me to design a signature move and a finishing move for publicity... But in the end, I thought shouting move names during fights was too embarrassing, so I stopped. Does anyone really do that?"

"You don’t believe you’re childish." Garfield said.

"I think it’s quite cute." You Ruirui said.

"The world of young people." Oda Ehgo said with eyes closed, sighing.

Gu Qiye was silent for a moment, then turned his head to ask, "Mr. Oda Ehgo, I’m somewhat curious, what’s your superpower?"

"Not worth mentioning." Oda Ehgo shook his head.

After a while, looking out from the front window of the fighter jet, they could see the solitary island situated at a corner of the horizon. The ocean was bathed in dazzling sunlight from all sides, yet the island was enveloped in an ominous darkness, with everything on it cloaked in a mysterious shroud of shadow.

Like a depiction of Hell.

"We’ve arrived." Garfield put away his phone, raising his eyes to look at the screen.

"That’s the Nameless Island where the Light-Eating Bees reside..." Gu Qiye murmured softly.

You Ruirui nodded silently.

Oda Ehgo slightly furrowed his pale brows, despite having seen photos of the Nameless Island beforehand, seeing it in person was still shocking.

"Hey, hey, hey, shapeshifter, do you hear me?" Garfield glanced at the second fighter jet flying behind, activating the communication function.

"I hear you, I hear you, Garfield." Urushibara Ryuri’s lazy voice came from the device.

"Your plane can stop here. Stay at the edge of the island and don’t move. If anything happens to us, use your superpower to pull us back. Understand?" Garfield said.

"Got it, you guys go ahead."

As soon as she finished speaking, the first fighter jet lowered its altitude and silently flew into the interior of the island.

Simultaneously, a blue light flashed in Garfield’s eyes, a section at the bottom of the fighter jet suddenly opened, and countless small drones flew out from it, spreading outwards.

The drones formed a circle, always maintaining their positions around the fighter jet.

Each drone was equipped with a camera, and the cameras had built-in night vision capabilities. Even though the island was dark and devoid of light, the scenes on the ground were clearly captured by the cameras and transmitted back to the screens inside the cabin, allowing the four inside to view the island’s scenery clearly.

In complete silence, the fighter jet in stealth mode gradually penetrated the dark island, where nothing was visible. From the darkness came a faint and low growl and the buzzing tremor of bee wings.

The four people in the cabin looked up at the footage captured by the drones and saw a large mass of densely packed Light-Eating Bees directly below them. They were like a group of frenzied pilgrims, raising their heads high and reaching out towards the sun.

The bee stingers split open, revealing their mouths within the cracks. Their mouths opened and closed, expanding and contracting as they greedily sucked in sunlight like infants nursing on their mother’s milk.

The sheer number of Light-Eating Bees was overwhelming, swarming densely into the eyes of the four. For someone with trypophobia, they might have gone mad by now.

"There are even more of them than I imagined. There must be at least a few thousand worker bees ." Gu Qiye said.

Garfield replied emotionlessly, "No matter how many small fry there are, it’s meaningless. The ’Red Sun’ of the Princess can instantly burn half the island’s Light-Eating Bees to ash."

"The problem lies with their leaders, the four just-born Bee Princes," You Ruirui added.

Oda Ehgo frowned tightly, staring intently at the screen.

"That’s... the beehive." He suddenly murmured.

The four instantly perked up. As the fighter jet ventured further into the island, the surrounding drones finally found a glimmer of light in this deep darkness, a radiance so bright it forced them to close their eyes.

It was the only light in this dim world, located above the highest peak of the island, thereby naturally becoming a symbol of some kind of supreme power.

Initially, they thought it was a glorious Floating City, but upon closer inspection, they realized that the golden hexagonal structure was not a castle at all! Instead, it was... the Light-Eating Bees’ hive!

And at this moment at the beehive’s entrance stood four eerie and commanding figures.

The drone magnified the image of the beehive entrance countless times, allowing the cabin’s interior

The leading Bee Prince had a long tail, its entire body black, with facial features similar to humans, its vertical pupils emitting an intimidating golden glow. Behind it were two pairs of hexagonal wings, each shaped like a beehive.

The second Bee Prince had no wings, its entire body purple, with purple pupils, thick limbs, and a tail ending with a giant hammer.

The third Bee Prince was slender, with the appearance of a human female, blue pupils. She wore a sea-blue dress, and her short hair was tied with a blue bow. Behind her were a pair of huge wings, similar to a bird’s.

The fourth Bee Prince appeared relatively ordinary, entirely golden, with well-proportioned limbs, transparent thin wings behind, and no bee stinger on its human-like face.

"Their appearance differs greatly from the usual Light-Eating Bees... Are those the Four Great Bee Lords?" Gu Qiye pondered.

"Yes, without a doubt," Garfield confirmed, "These are the Bee Race’s leaders, from which the next Bee King will emerge. We must kill them before that happens."

Oda Ehgo remained silent, his aged brows furrowed, eyes pitch-black as they stared intently at the silhouettes of the four Bee Princes.

"From the Light-Eating Bees captured by authorities, they managed to extract descriptions of the Four Great Bee Lords’ appearances," You Ruirui noted, "Judging by the footage before us, from left to right at the beehive entrance are the Great Bee Lord ’Qiao,’ the Second Bee Lord ’Guli,’ the Third Bee Lord ’Cameron,’ and the Fourth Bee Lord ’Malvite.’"

Gu Qiye silently nodded, remembering these four names and the corresponding appearances of the Bee Princes.

He knew You Ruirui’s words were reliable, as the Icelandic girl once mentioned that the side effect of superpowers was hyperthymesia. Any information You Ruirui had seen, even if she wanted to forget, her brain wouldn’t permit her to do so.

After a moment of thought, You Ruirui continued, "We still don’t know what specific superpowers the Four Great Bee Lords possess, but at least we know the location of the beehive. I believe we can report back now."

However, as soon as she finished speaking, the expressions on all four of their faces subtly changed. In that instant, the Great Bee Lord "Qiao" in the footage suddenly lifted its head, gazing directly at the drone’s camera.

Its pupils emitted a captivating golden light and slowly revealed the outline of the fighter jet.

In the fleeting moment of 0.1 seconds, Qiao slightly bent its knees, its knees expanding, and the ground beneath its feet cracked open as it shot straight upwards from the beehive entrance.

In that absolute silence, it moved faster than the speed of sound, its entire form like a beam of black light, hurtling violently towards the fighter jet in the sky...

And by the time the deafening roar and atmospheric tearing howl were heard, it was already the next second.

"Boom—!" The helicopter’s windshield shattered, the Great Bee Lord Qiao’s face grim, its fierce pupils glaring vertically, reflecting the faces of the Rainbow Wings team.
