Chapter 31: Chapter 31

Clara's POV

We prepared a dinner party for all the guests since they will be leaving tomorrow to start their relocating. I have been busy preparing the party alongside Lia and Angela. Tia should have been going to seclusion tonight, but I convinced her that she should talk with my brother properly since Vincent had been sulking the whole day, which got annoying.

I walked toward Tia, who was busy ordering someone to put some designs on the wall. "Hey," I asked, bumping my shoulder toward her.

"Hi," She greeted me back, looked at me for a second, and glanced back at the paper she was holding. "So, how was it?" I asked, talking about the talk she had had with my brother.

"Agh, it was awful," she said while rolling her eyes at me.

"What happened?" I frowned.

"You know how sensitive he gets, right?" She asked, raising a brow.

"Yep," I said, nodding at her.

"I was explaining to him, but every time I finished a sentence, he would pout at me while crossing his arms," She exclaimed. She was raising both arms and letting them fall to her waist.

I instantly imagined the face of my brother while doing that. "Pfft! Hahaha," I laughed hard to the point that I was holding my stomach. I kept on laughing until Tia scoffed at me.

"Are you done?" She said, irritated with my laugh.

I fixed my posture and cleared my throat. "So what happened next?" I asked.

"He said that we should at least get married since I will be gone for a month," She said, shrugging her shoulders, hiding her face for me not to see her blush.

"Oh, and?" I asked, curious about her answer.

"I, ugh, said yes," She said, and I squealed.

"Really?! I am so happy for you!" I exclaimed, hugging her tightly.

"We will be having a simple ceremony before the party, and Vincent already talked with Alpha Ross to conduct the ceremony," She informed me while fidgeting her fingers.

"That would be nice. I am happy for the both of you," I said, hugging her again.

I walked around checking the tasks of the others, making sure that everything was okay. After making sure that everything was proceeding flawlessly, I decided to go to Erik's office. I knocked a few times and opened the door. I entered. Erik looked at me and smiled. He was having a meeting with the other Alphas. I smiled at them and walked towards Erik, standing beside him while he was sitting on his chair.

"I hope I'm not disturbing you," I said, using my sweetest voice. "Of course not, my queen," He said. I looked at Rick and smiled at him. "Congratulations on finding your mate, Alpha Rick," I said, showing my sincerity.

"Thank you, your highness," He said while bowing. I looked at the map that was spread all over the table. Erik and I saw a vacant lot on the north side of the country.

"Who's going to relocate here?" I asked. Erik looked at what I was pointing at, "No one but Alpha Kyle will be relocating to the North," He explained. As Erik mentioned Alpha Kyle's name, he stopped what he was doing and came closer to the table.

"What are your plans in this vacant lot, Alpha?" I asked, curious.

"I haven't thought about it, my Queen. We will be relocating to this area since it is where the King decided to start building the wall," He informed me. I nodded and smiled.

"Can you build a basement here? A basement that no light will come through," I asked.

"I can be my Queen. May I ask what the basement is for?" Alpha Kyle asked with a confused look.

"Prison," Erik mumbled, nodding at my Idea. "Can you read my thoughts, my life?" I said, touching his back. He scoffed and slumped his back on his chair. "Of course," He said proudly.

"Our packs have a basement, right? We will be transporting the prisoners who committed a serious offense there, and they will live there for the rest of their lives," I said while smiling at Alpha Kyle. He gulped at what I said, and he looked at Erik.

"Good Idea. We will give the prisoners who have a minor offense a chance to reset their lives," Erik said.

"But be careful, Alpha," I said. Alpha Kyle looked at me, waiting for my following words.

"If an enemy decides to attack our country, the prison will be their first target, meaning whoever is in charge of the north will be responsible," I explained. Alpha Kyle looked down at the map, thinking seriously about my plan.

"Are you going to accept this responsibility, Alpha?" I asked, using my most authoritative voice. I don't like using my authority, but if I play nice, it will reflect poorly on Erik.

"Can I ask one question, your highness?" Alpha Kyle asked. "Sure," I replied, accepting his question.

"Why me? The other corners of the country also have a vacant lots. Why choose the north where I will be handling?" He asked, giving me a questioning look.

"You are the quietest of all, so the others always thought that your pack is the easiest to conquer, but everyone who tried conquering your land, including Erik, who is called the strongest, failed," I explained. Alpha Kyle's eyes grew big at my words.

"I'm sure Erik thought the same. That is why he appointed you to the north where the other countries are facing," I said, looking at him earnestly, showing him my sincerity. He glanced at Erik because of what I said, and Erik laughed.

"It seems you can also read my thoughts, my Queen!" Erik exclaimed.

"Of course," I said, smirking at him. Erik continued laughing, and when he calmed down, he looked at Alpha Kyle and released some of his aura.

"What's your opinion on this, Alpha Kyle" Erik asked, using his stern voice.

Alpha Kyle gulped and looked at the map again, thinking deeply. He looked at the both of us and crouched down on one knee while bowing his head. "I will take this opportunity to show off my skills, your majesty," He said. "Very well!" Erik said, happy and proud of Alpha Kyle.

"Oh," I said, having a good idea. They both looked at me, and I smirked.

"Observe the prisoners, and if you see some potential in one of them, send them to Alpha Manuel," I offered. Alpha Manuel stepped forward after I mentioned his name.

"I see, my Queen! You never cease to amaze me!" Erik exclaimed, getting what I meant. He stood and slumped both of his hands on the map.

"Alpha Manuel has a reputation for training the weak and turning them into strong warriors," He said and looked at Alpha Manuel. I smirked at Erik, proud that he could understand what I was trying to communicate with a few words.

"It will be our secret army. I do not doubt your skills in defending Alpha Kyle, but if there is someone who can outperform you or something unexpected happens, at least we are prepared since these are prisoners, rouges. They will be vicious, wild, and hungry for blood, and this Idea is like a double-edged sword. It can be our weakness, but at the same time, it can be our greatest strength," I explained. Alpha Manuel bowed, smirking, liking my Idea.

"It is the wisest thing I ever heard, and I accept this task, your highness," Alpha Manuel said, crouching down on one knee while bowing his head.

"You don't have anything else, Queen? We also need to show off our skills," Alpha Rick said. I laughed at what he said. "Indeed, let me see," I said.

"Alpha Ross will handle our tradings to the other countries since he is good at communicating while Alpha Rick, who is active on the battlefield, who has the reputation that says he rivals the strength Erik as the strongest, will be our vanguard."

Alpha Ross smiled, happy about my Idea. "I am honored, your highness!" Alpha Ross said, doing the same act as the others. He did not even hide his excitement.

"It seems that Alpha Ross is happy about the Idea, my life," Erik said, looking at me proudly. I smiled at him and glanced at Alpha Ross. "Indeed," I giggled, and Alpha Ross scratched the back of his neck, feeling embarrassed.

"Vanguard?" Alpha Rick asked. "You will be our General, the one who will handle all the troops in war," Erik explained. Alpha Rick's eyes twinkled, excited at the word war. "If someone decided to wage war, or whatever battle that is, you will be on the front line, leading our troops, and we will just wait for the news of victory here on our throne," I said, shrugging my shoulders at him.

"You will always hear the news of victory, your highness, your majesty," Alpha Rick said, happy at my proposal.

"Alpha Ross will handle all the negotiations, Alpha Kyle will do the defending, Alpha Manuel is in charge of the training, and Alpha Rick will be in charge of any battles," I said, repeating what we all agreed on.

"Before I leave, can you mind-link your Lunas? I want to have tea with them at my Library," I asked. I want to get to know their Lunas.

"Yes, your highness," Everyone said simultaneously.

"My life, I will see you at the dinner party. I'll leave the rest to you," I said to Erik, kissing him on his head.

"Be safe, my love," He replied, flashing me his sweetest and brightest smile.

I said my goodbyes at the Alphas and left the office. "Angelina? Are you busy?" I mind-linked her.

"No, I just finished checking the preparations for the food for the party. Need anything?" She asked.

"Yes, I want you to prepare some tea and snacks. I will have a tea party in my Library with the Lunas," I explained.

"Will do, your highness. I will be delivering it to your Library," She said.

I made my way to my Library to wait for the Lunas to arrive. I fixed the books that I had left on the table. Someone knocked as I was improving the books, and some beautiful lady entered. I smiled at her while turning my body to face her.

"Hi!" I greeted excitedly. "I am Susie, mate of Alpha Ross" She introduced herself and did a small curtsy.

"Nice to meet you. Come in and have a seat," I invited. She smiled back at me and sat on the sofa.

"It seems that you love books, your highness," She said, starting the conversation. "Yes, I love them. It is one of the things that keeps me calm," I said, putting one of the books on the shelves.

"If you want, I'll send some of my collections to you," She said. I glanced back at her and gave her my sweetest smile.

"Really? I would love that. I can also exchange my favorite books for you to try and read them," I offered while putting another book on the shelf.

"That would be great, your highness," She said. I smiled at her and finished returning the books on the shelf. Another one came in, and she smiled at us and did a small curtsy towards me. "I am Rica, the Luna of the north," She introduced herself, and I liked how she introduced herself. It was lovely; she was full of confidence and had this aura of a warrior.

"Are you a warrior?" I asked. Her eyes grew big at the moment, surprised at what I said. "Yes, your highness, I thought that I had hidden it well," She explained, feeling embarrassed.

"You don't have to hide it," I said. She smiled, and her eyes twinkled. "Have a seat," I offered.

"This is Susie, Luna of the South" I introduced them to one another. We were chatting about different genres of the books we loved when Angela came pushing a cart full of snacks and tea.

"Your highness," Angela greeted. I smiled sweetly, then she served the snacks and tea and positioned the tea cups. While arranging the tea cups, Melissa entered, followed by a beautiful woman. She looked like a teen, so I knew it was Rosa, Manuel's mate.

"I am Rosa, mate of Alpha Manuel," She said and did some curtsy. Melissa, who watched how she introduced herself, frowned at me. I gave her a look, saying she needed to do it in front of other Lunas.

"I am Melissa, future Luna of the West" She introduced herself and forced herself to do a curtsy.

"We are finally complete, now all of you feel at home, and I have prepared some tea and snacks for our little get-together," I said, and they happily served some tea in their cups.

Now that they are all here, I can't think of any topics to discuss with them. I was tasting some of the snacks when someone asked me a question.

"Your highness, can I ask a question?"

It was Rosa, according to their information. Rosa is straightforward, so I should be ready for her question. I lift my tea cup, waiting for her to ask me a question. I was sipping my tea when she said, "When do you plan on having a child?" I was surprised by her question that I spit some of the tea.

"I'm sorry!" I exclaimed, wiping the part of the table that got wet. Melissa was covering her mouth, trying her best to stop her laugh from being heard. I gave her a look, threatening her not to laugh.

"It seems that I asked something I shouldn't," She said. I calmed myself and looked at her, releasing some of my aura. She gulped, feeling anxious that she had made me angry. I hid my aura and smiled at her when I saw her reaction. "You can ask anything, and I was just surprised," I explained. I picked my tea and sipped, "We are still busy with the relocation of the packs and stuff, so we haven't talked about it, but if the moon goddess will bless us with a child, then we would be thrilled," I said.

"That's great. It will be tough when things are going on and you get pregnant. Stress is not good for the baby," Susie said.

"Yes, you're right. Do you have a child?" I asked Susie. "Yes, your highness, I have five children."

It seems Alpha Ross got busy. "Wow, how did you manage?" Rica asked her. I also looked at Susie, curious about her answer. "Ross is caring and thoughtful. Even the elders at the pack are always helping me, and they were all nice," She explained. I smiled at her.

Melissa was quiet at the side, eating the snacks quietly, not wanting to get some attention, "When are you going to get married, Melissa?" I asked. She was surprised and chewed her food faster.

She gave me a look, and I just shrugged my shoulders. "It's my payback," I mind-linked at her while smirking.
