Daniel spent the rest of the day in the office with Derek, the field work was displaced on Yazahib's orders, which made Daniel a little nervous. Today she was supposed to appear before the man, but he apparently did not bother, he did not send her messages or call her.

Derek looked at Daniel and smiled, he really can't imagine being in that place without her. He cannot believe that there is someone bad enough to sue the company and thereby demand that she should be fired.

Daniel smiled at Derek's gaze and lifted her chair so she could look into his pretty green eyes, “What's going on? Why do you insist on looking at me like that?”

Derek widened his smile, "I'm sorry, beautiful. I find it very difficult not to look at you when you are in front of me and you have that serious expression for being focused on your work. It makes you sexy.”

She shrugged and Daniel laughed, “don't say such things, why is everyone acting strange today? I know I'm pregnant, but come on now! You can't pamper me that much.”

Derek tried not to lose his smile. Everyone was shocked by what was going to happen, they all love Daniel and the thought that she was leaving upset them all, "It's easy to love you, will you blame us for that?"

Daniel looked at him tenderly, “of course not, I love you all too" she winked and continued with her work until she realized some papers with lack of signature, “I must go to Caroline, she must sign these forms,” she got up, “I won't take long.” Derek smiled and watched her leave the office.

Who could do something like that to Daniel? Why did they want to get her out of the company? Why take that risk with something so stupid? This were Derek's questions, he did not understand anything, he did not understand why the attack so sudden.

Daniel came down on the presidential floor and greeted everyone, Caroline's secretary stopped her and smirked at her, “well, you are still here.” Daniel looked at her confused, she doesn't know what she's talking about so she looked into her eyes questioningly, “they were going to fire you for being pregnant and they almost sued the company, but being the owner's wife has its advantages,” after releasing the poison, she smiled and withdrew, leaving Daniel with her heart racing.

That's why Yazahib left her at home, that's why he was full of concern and fury. Now she understands everything, he kept something extremely important from her. Angry at what her boyfriend hid from her, she decided to go to his office. Without knocking, she entered, finding Caroline and Yazahib talking animatedly, it seems that they are arguing about something.

"I need to talk to you," Daniel said as she entered, "alone," she looked at Caroline.

"We're working Daniel," Caroline pointed out, that increased Daniel's fury.

"I'm not interested in that shit," she shouted furiously, “why didn't you tell me that someone reported so that you would fire me?" Caroline and Yazahib looked at her puzzled, how did she find out? "Your assistant just told me, how could you hide something like that from me?" To everyone's luck or misfortune, Caroline's assistant knocked on the door.

"Come in," Yazahib said in amazement at what Daniel was demanding of him. They all looked at the woman seriously and Carolina saw a way to clear her name.

"Good afternoon sir, this envelope has arrived," she walked over to the desk and placed the envelope on the desk. When she realized how they were looking at her, she smiled and looked at them all somewhat uncomfortable. "Is something wrong?" She asked, focusing on Caroline.

"You're fired," Caroline said without the slightest bit of remorse, "I knew you're good for nothing, you only think about doing things wrong. I want you out of the company in less than two hours, otherwise I'll call security to throw you out.”

Daniel looked at Caroline, maybe the girl was cruel to her, but she didn't deserve to be treated like that, “don't be cruel Caroline, you can't treat her like that. She is a person just like you and me.”

Caroline brushed her bangs from her forehead and looked at her without concern, “she is a fool and she does not deserve more," she looked at the girl and smiled, she is very grateful for that. Now she will be the culprit of everything, “get out right now,” the young woman with tears in her eyes quickly left the office.

Yazahib looked at Caroline without understanding her action, “what have you done? She can sue us,” he looked at her sharply.

"Well, she sued us first, I was always suspicious of her. You see, that stupid woman always mentioned Daniel's pregnancy and her special treatment, because no pregnant woman is accepted in any job and yet here is Daniel,” she looks at Yazahib with innocence, “to which I always replied that there was some reason to do this,” now she looked at Daniel and smiled, “lately she was very determined to do justice and I think that's why she sued the company and asked for your dismissal.”

Daniel frowned, that seems absurd, “I don't understand, she just follows in your footsteps and that's why she's mean to me. Could it be that you forced her and she in this way is not related to this?”

Caroline feigned offense and looked at Yazahib, “can you explain to her that I would never put the company at risk? I made a promise to your father, I would take care of you and the company,” she looked at Daniel after getting up, “I couldn't take care of him because you arrived, but I will take care of this company with all my might,” taking her bag, she left the office, leaving Daniel with a bad feeling, that woman is cruel and anything can be expected of her.

"Do you believe her?" Daniel asked, looking at Yazahib "do you think that assistant could do something like that against me knowing what could happen to her?"

Yazahib snorted, he was not very convinced either, “it was she who told you what happened, why can't she be guilty of it? She shows that she wanted to hurt you.”

Daniel bit her lips and decided to forget it, maybe it's true and the assistant is to blame for everything, “can you give these to Caroline to sign? I need it for tomorrow afternoon. The engineer requests them.”

Yazahib pushed the envelope aside and took some papers, “these are the ones you asked me to work on two days ago."

Daniel took them, “the project is going too well, I hope there is no problem," she smiled slightly.

"Easy, if anything happens, I would tell you everything," Yazahib frowned, now she will not easily forgive him because of that woman. When he was about to explain everything to her, Daniel's cell phone rang and she answered it somewhat annoyed. She has been interrupted and she wanted to talk about what happened with Yazahib.

"Sweetheart," her aunt's voice surprised her, she sounded worried.

“Aunt? What's going on?” Daniel asked, caressing her belly, her daughter has felt her concern.

"Have you read the letter your mother left?"

Daniel, confused by her question, replied with a no even though she has not found it, “no, I didn't remember the letter." She scratched her forehead, "I'm not ready to read it yet, Auntie, you know it's difficult for me."

The woman snorted on the other end of the phone, “you must read it Daniel, find the letter and read it please."

Daniel looked at Yazahib and he raised his eyebrows, “well Auntie, I don't understand the rush, but I'll read it when I’m ready. You know that,” the woman wanted to scream and tell her to read the letter before it was too late, but she held back, she can't explode.

"It's been a long time, you should have read that letter by now. Listen to me Daniel, read the letter please.”

Daniel frowned when the call went silent. "What's wrong?" Yazahib asked when he saw her scowling.

"I can’t tell but my aunt wants me to read the letter my mother left me before she died," she sat down.

"And why don't you do it?" Yazahib wanted to know.

"I'm not ready, I don't want to suffer anymore,” she looked down, "to read that letter is to accept that my mother is not here and I don't want that, I don't want to read the damn letter." Tears sprang from her eyes and Yazahib immediately ran to her side to comfort her.
