Aliyah's POV
At the back of my mind, I am still laughing because of what happened to Ruzzel. But when I saw him frowned, I compose myself and look at him oh so dearly.
"Aliyah…"
He moved closer to me then held my hand.
"Aliyah, first of all… I just wanna say I ashdgjhajshalsha---"
He could not continue what he was saying because I had already blocked his mouth using my right hand. I don’t want him to make any noise. I don't want to ruin our moment.
After a while, I choose to speak.
“Hey, you idiot! You still have to pay me for kidnapping me!”
I removed my hand from his mouth so now he could answer.
"You won't come with me if I tell you the truth, right?"
“Yes! That is right! Wait, who were the kidnappers by the way?”
"Uhm… about that..."
Ruzzel scratched his head, maybe he was planning to cover up his accomplices.
"Who are they???"
“Uhm they are Tatsi, along with my other bandmates and friends. Joana and Lewis are my accomplices in other things. ”
I raised an eyebrow. Lewis and Joana? So they help Ruzzel as well.
"Aliyah, I am very sorry."
"That's enough Ruzzel."
"Does it mean you are now forgiving me?”
"Uhmmm... I will think about it."
"Aliyah…"
And because I was pissed again and due to mood swings… I suddenly turned my back on Ruzzel.
“ALIYAH !!”
I immediately saw Ruzzel's friends appearing in front of me one by one as well as Tatsi, Joana, aunt, and even Lewis.
I smirked. So what is this?
Joana approached me then Lewis followed.
“Aliyah… he exerts an effort just to prove how much he loves you. I know I am not in the place to interfere, but I hope you listen to him even just this once.” Lewis looked so serious. I felt his sympathy towards Ruzzel.
Joana just nodded at me.
I sighed.
"Ruzzel."
Ruzzel immediately approached me as I called his name.
His expression is asking me why I called him anyway.
"I will forgive you but in one condition," I said seriously.
“What condition, Aliyah? Anything. ” he answered.
Alright then.
“You have to harvest and fill an empty truck with strawberries. Deal?”
I heard whispers around us. Joana and Lewis choose to remain silent.
"Is it serious Aliyah?" Ruzzel asked. I raised my brow.
"Do I look like I'm just joking?"
He shook his head as an answer.
Ruzzel was about to turn around when suddenly my aunt speaks so loudly.
“Aliyah! You're so bad to Ruzzel!”
Tsk. She better mind her own business. What a poor old woman. Hahhaha kidding, but uh, yeah... Half meant.
“Hmmm... Okay, I changed my mind... Since I am a little bit kind today, here is what you need to do, build a sandcastle which must be twenty feet in height when measured.”
“O-okay... I will do my very best if that is what you want.”
He looked so hopeless, helpless, oh Ruzzel hahaha. But he seems determined to do what I wanted.
I was just really joking but he might do it so better watch him suffer.
Ruzzel immediately ran away from us. But before he could finally get away… I called him again.
He quickly returned.
“W-what Aliyaahh?” he asked while still panting.
"Willing to do the things I've said?"
He nodded.
Indeed, he is crazy.
I approached him. Just inches apart. I touched both of his cheeks. I would have kissed him but I know that the readers will be happy if I do that so I just change my mind. Hahahaha.
“I am just joking Ruzzel... You don’t have to do all of that.”
That’s when I saw his precious smile again. His face lightens up, looks like I am seeing a ray of light in his presence. I smiled as well.
Ruzzel suddenly took something from his pocket.
I know everyone is in shock and could not believe what we are all seeing.
Ruzzel is holding a ring.
His eyes were focused on me.
“Aliyah I know this is so sudden, but I can’t help it. I love you that much and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. ”
I am currently in the state of being shock and I still can not utter even a single word. My mind is in the process of absorbing what Ruzzel has just been saying.
"You are the one whom I want to be within every fight, in every laughter, in every smile, and in every tear that happens every day of my life," Ruzzel added.
[Still, I am speechless.]
"Will you marry me, Aliyah?"
I looked at everyone who surrounds me. They were all cheering for us. They were cheering so loud but nothing is louder than the beat of my heart.
Louder than all I can hear is the approval of my heart. It is happily saying ‘yes’ to Ruzzel.
I nodded as an answer. And because of that, Ruzzel hugged me so tight.
I hugged him back.
I am so much happy right now.
