Aunt of Aliyah’s POV
The author does not want to give me a name so, just calls me aunt.
I was one of the organizers of the Alumni Homecoming that will happen tonight. This event is to give way to the project of the previous batch in this school which is the batch of Aliyah.
Aliyah, Joana, and Lewis are all required to attend since they belong to the previous batch. Ruzzel is excluded, he did not study here for the previous years.
I also have a plan for tonight. Fortunately, this event was also right to carry out my plan.
Around eight in the evening, the event started. Aliyah and Joana also arrived just in time.
The Speaker gave a welcome speech. I sat in the seat reserved for the organizers. I also made sure that everything will be fine throughout the entire party properly.
I asked Lewis where he is because the event has just started. He just seems to be on his way. Well, I was close to Lewis before. Our path crosses because of Aliyah. We got along since then… but of course, that also changed when he and Aliyah broke up.
I knew all along that Lewis is the main reason why Aliyah changed a lot but believe it or not, I do not what to intervene in what is going on between them. It is just that somewhat, I understand where Lewis is coming from. He explained everything to me. We had a talk just about a few weeks ago about the reason why I feel pity for him. I wanted to help him in every possible way that I could do. I wished for Lewis and Aliyah to fix what has been destroyed, even if they not become close again, at least just be friends.
After an hour Lewis finally arrived.
As I have plan… Aliyah and Lewis will be blindfolded. I have a student assistant to do all my commands. Joana is not included here. She is innocent and clueless as well about what is going on.
I walked closer to Aliyah then put the handcuff on her right wrist. Lewis was been slowly dragged way closer to Aliyah then I put the other half of the handcuff on Lewis's wrist. Now, they have no escape.
Aliyah harshly removed her blindfold using her other hand which is free from the handcuff. I shook my head. Look how evil she is.
“Hey, you rotten old woman! What do you think you are doing? Do you lost some screw on your brain?”
Ouch. Rotten? Old? Woman?
If we were not just related by blood, perhaps I made her suffer to death then throw away her deceased body on the river. Hahahhahaha Just kidding.
“Aliyah lemme explain child. I am your lost mother. Are you not happy that we have met today? How long have I been looking for you, my child? You don’t know how much I am longing for you. "
I am trying to tease her even more. She is short-tempered, so by now, I am pretty sure that she is very annoyed with me.
“AHFSHASGABXA!!!! I AM NOT PLAYING AROUND! SO STOP ACTING YOU, FRUSTRATED OLD ROTTEN LADY!!! YOU LOOK LIKE A GARBAGE!!! ARGGGGGGHH!”
I wanted to burst out in laughter but I just realized that I should stop by now because we are making a scene again and again.
"Aliyah, calm down! Look at your beauty, it is decreasing. Do not stress out yourself my dear, there is just something that you need to know which is urgent.”
I am trying to look calm in the middle of the tension that is going on between the two countries hahaha aha just kidding again. Yes, right. I am trying to look calm here.
"NEED TO KNOW ??? ABOUT WHAT??? IS IT ALL ABOUT THIS GUY?!? WILL YOU PLEASE STOP! WHY DO YOU KEEP ON EXERTING AN EFFORT JUST TO FIX THOSE THINGS FROM MY PAST ??! AREN'T YOU'RE NOT AWARE THAT I AM HAPPY WITH MY PRESENT?!? "
Wow. What a long line. Hahaha, she said a lot of things.
"I am sorry Aliyah," Lewis said.
“Do not interfere! Or else I will beat you!”
"A-ali ---"
Aliyah was about to punch Lewis but I immediately grabbed her hand.
"Choose who you will hurt Aliyah!"
I said seriously. This time, I'm serious. I removed their handcuffs. Aliyah looked at me badly, oh so badly.
"You're crazy Aunt! You should also choose what you will do! Stop controlling my life! Stop ruining my life! Stop being so childish! You should act base on your age!!!"

You are still drowned by your feelings towards Lewis and I pity you for that.”
"You have no right to tell me that. You were not the one who was hurt. And yes, you haven't even experienced the pain, you haven't even had a boyfriend. Just to remind you, you have no boyfriend since birth!"
Huhuhuhu and that made me feel like a mushroom. Yes, I wanted to hide underneath the soil right now.
“Just wait for the day that I will introduce you to my future boyfriend.”
I can’t help it but I have to defend myself from this monster named Aliyah. How dare she steps on my dignity! Huhuhuhuhu it hurts.
“Do whatever you wanted to do but just don’t try to manipulate again my life!”
She turned her back on us and walked away… but before she could even get away… I chased her.
"Lewis has only one month to live. Now, are you happy after hearing the reason why he chooses to end his relationship with you, Aliyah?"
She stared at me for a long time. By trying to read her mind, it is asking for further information about what I just said.

Lewis Mercado has an incurable disease. Doctors found out that the problem was on Lew's heart. There are many things he can not do ... many things are denied to him .. even his life, there is a deadline. I felt sorry for him. Now, I understand his side. I understand why he chooses to stay away from Aliyah even though he loves her. I understand his sacrifices .. so Aliyah has no right to judge Lew immediately and hate him for the rest of her life.
Everybody was in shocked the moment Lewis suddenly stumbled down. He was immediately attended to and taken to the nearest hospital.
We were all remained silent. Hopefully, this is not yet the end.
