**BEAUTY'S POV*

I suddenly stopped at the door,my legs were cold and my nerves shaking, let's get back to back to the dining she said?.....after all that happen I don't think i can do that.

"What is it dear?"Granny asked,she stared at me me curiously in a confused way,I hesitated then replied.

"I can't face them,am sorry granny,can I just stay back here,I will be fine here, please"

I said that without even looking up at her face.

She chuckled softly and let go of my hands and after she gave me a soft friendly smile,it was so warm and welcoming that I felt so comfortable with her,I really wish to stay with her than just going back to the dining,and be a subject of mockery.

"I will call him to come get you instead, if you hide from them,it will be like they got into your head,just forget what happened and be happy okay?"Granny said to me,with a very calm and friendly tone.

I nodded slowly.

She walked to the door,I stared then she turned to me

"don't forget to put on a smile"she said to me, demonstrating with her hands,I forced a smile back,she nodded and opened the door then she went back to the dining, I closed the door back ,slowly walked to the bed and sat down there waiting impatiently for Bruno,I really wish he won't come back for me,it will be hard to tell him know if he comes back to take me.

The door opened slightly,I looked up relieved but it wasn't Bruno ,it was his senior sister Abigail that walked into the room Abigail was no doubt a very beautiful lady,her full long dark hair was the most beautiful part of her body,and also her body proportions could be mistaken for that of a model,she must be on strict dieting for days to maintain such shape,I could sense ,she is not impressed with my weight,I just hope she is here for good.

"Sorry can I talk with you?"she said to me slowly,I got nervous at that instance but I have to put myself together,and listen to her.

"Sure"i replied rather quickly.

Yes, i was nervous but same time excited,not sure what she wanted us to talk about but her friendly approach gave me fair hope.

She walked to me holding a cold glass of chilled wine in a royal elegant way,she stretched it towards me.

"Here you need this"she said ,smiling softly,I panicked a little.

"Alcohol?"I asked her slowly, thinking fast about a lie to say to her

She nodded.

"I..don't drink"I lied,scratching my hair nervously .

She shrugged and finished up the drink in a shot,then she gaze at me,I wasn't looking but I could tell she was gazing at me after few minutes,she asked.

"So...you work in my father's company?"

I nodded slowly.

"How long have you guys been dating?"She asked ,with a look that terrified me.

I avoided an eye contact.

"The day he called you,I guess"I said slowly,why the question all of a sudden.

"You guesss,.....and am here thinking it must have been a year or so, Bruno seem pretty much attracted to you,he loves you alot,believe me,i can tell"she replied with a giggle.

"I love him too"I said almost to myself.

"So tell me,how did you manage to make him fall for you?'she asked this time giving me a sassy face.The question gave me sweat beads,is this a trap question?,what am I supposed to say?

I really don't,why and what made him fall in love with me,o just know,I have been Inlove with him for the last three years before now,my one sided secret crush.

"I don't understand how"i replied confused.

She chuckled out loudly .

"Don't mind me!!,I guess this drink is kinda strong,I am just suprise my brother can date any woman he wants to,I once linked him with Jennifer Courtney, you know the richest and most popular model,well he choose you,I have just one problem with you "she said tartly.

at me and turned to face him,I observed her face suddenly turned dark and hard,it made me more nervous and uncomfortable,that I swallowed hard.

"What are you using?"she asked again,I don't have any idea what I should say,I opened my mouth and ended up stuttering.

"I...I......I

She grabbed on me,I was alerted and panicked at how close she was to me,her hands over me

"Don't tell me those curve are as real as my visual, look at me ,my dad had to put me on diet since age thirteen so I can look this way,I want to have those curves too"she stated a little childishly,I wonder if she's trying to cheer me up and make me feel good with my body size.

I was terrified with the way she went ahead and grabbed on my arm then she let go suddenly and laughed out.

"Don't mind me again,I just love teasing people,you should relax , you look so tensed up"

Bruno opened the door.

"Hey little bro! I was having a chat with your babe,guess what she said she love me more"

His sister snapped,my eyes opened widely in surprise.

"I didn't say it"I mumbled with a giggle.

Bruno shook his head and pulled away his sister from me.

"You should get going already,she's taken ,try someone else,okay?"

He replied her.

She reluctantly stood up.

"Well I still gay my eyes on you Beauty"

Abigail said with a wink and walked back to the dining.,as soon as she walked out of the room,Bruno came and sat down beside me.

"Are you okay?'he asked gently.

I nodded slowly.

"Thanks bruno"

"Bruno?Hey what happened to baby ?"he replied with a chuckle and leaned forward to kiss me, but I slowly move my head to the other side

He tried again ,I did same thing.

"Are you intentionally hurting me?"he asked with the softest tone in his voice.

avoided an eye contact with him and said nothing.

He sighed deeply and then grabbed my hand.

"Come with me to the dining"he told ne.

"I don't want to go"i whined like a child,he let go of my hand and turned to me.

"Please.."he pleaded,I hesitated then

I looked up ,and few seconds, i reluctantly stood up,I don't want to go back but not going back will make him feel even worse,I have to think of his feelings too.

"Thank you"he said with a smile and hugged me,then we walked back to the dining ,hand in hand.

**BRUNO'S POV**

As soon we got to the dining,I noticed my uncle's face suddenly went black, same with his wife,but none of them affects me,as long as I have Bea here.

"You should cut your cake already Bruno,let's take pictures couz"

Kora my first cousin said unapologetically.

We walked back to our seat ,mom dished food out for Beauty,I was surprised to notice her do that.

"Thanks"she told my mom on a whisper.

Grandma must have done a lot of talking before now,to make her do that for Bea,she hardly dish out door for anyone.

"She need more plates though" that goat named Dennis said but not loud ,I still heard him anyway,maybe because I was paying alot of attention to him.

"Its my birthday, I really dont her why a cow were invited"

"Where is it?,moo moo?"

My little cousin Jack asked calling out the supposed cow with the sound.

"Right beside you Jack on white polo".

I replied with a mockery smile,jack looked at to his shdr,he could only see his uncle on white ,my mom cleared her throat .

"Valentina, the cake please "she demanded from the chief cook.Few minutes later,the maids push the cake on a stroller into the dining

"That's huuuge"jack gushed excitedly .

Everyone was distracted admiring the cake,I thought of it as a time to talk to my sister,I quickly turned to Abigail.

"I just recieved the package,I ordered an hour ago,they're fast"I whispered.

"What package ? Abigail asked like an airheaded person.

"From precious jewelry store, I ordered a diamond engagement ring remember I told you before you went into the room" I replied little disappointed.

"You want to do it already, are you sure ?"she whispered back.

"Yh,I want to show that cow, she's mine now,he piases me off,also I think today is a great day to do it,with Mom and Dad present"

I replied, excitedly.

"Well..she is yours but that's actually after the wedding"Abigail stated.

I frowned at her.

"Just take it and put it in her glass of wine,I will distract her with maybe a kiss"

She raised her brows,and tilt her head in agreement,I gave her the ring codedly.

My hands started sweating ,I suddenly felt this intense nervousness,what if she says no, following what happened earlier,my heart can't take it.

"We are waiting Bruno ,go cut the cake,what you two doing"Mom snapped interrupting in my thoughts.

I sighed nervously and got up,to deliver a speech before going ahead to cut the cake.

"Thanks everyone for your love and care,your presence is everything, well I won't say I love the suprise...to be honest.......

My cousins laughed .

"Thanks alot fam",they applauded .i wanted to blow off the 25 candle lights

"Make a wish first silly"my sister said tartly.

I chuckled embarrassed.

"Opps sorry a wish first. .my bad...

I looked up and my eyes met with Beauty's ,she blushed then looked down,I saw my sister put the ring in her glass of wine,i closed my eyes slowly , nervously and made my wish

I wish Bea would say yes to me and I wish, my family will accept and treat her as one of our own,Amen".

I opened my eyes and started blowing of the candle lights after thatI cut the cake and everyone came with their plates to take a portion ,except Dennis.

I cut out for Beauty and walked back to the table.

"Here you go"i handed it to her.

"Thanks"she replied with red cheeks,I smiled back softly.

younger cousins ,2 in number,age 7 and 11 played roughly with the cake but we all ignored them.

"So beauty, when next are you visiting us?"my mom asked all of a sudden ,it was unexpected,Bea don't even know what to say.

"I...I..

She glance at my dad,who seem not interested at all in anything that concern our relationship ever since grandma talked to him ,he just decided not to say a word, which is fine by me,by the way,I don't need his approval.

"Why not sleepover tonight, the party will take place fully this night"my sister added.

Beauty just nodded but I can tell she doesn't want to stay anymore than just this dinner time.

"To Bruno everyone we wish you a very happy birthday, and all the best in your life,happy birthday baby"Grandma called the toast.

"Cheers".

We all chorused,everyone stood on their feet and clincked our glasses after we got back to our seats.

My heart raced,as I stole a gaze at Beauty and noticed she took a sip from her drink.

sis pinched me,and winked,she was being silly, and obvious,i frowned at her.

I took my glass of wine and drank from it,impatiently,my hands shaking nervously.

Then suddenly the sound of shattered glass, make me spill up.

Everyone was looking at me confused, then I realized they were looking at beauty actually

"What's wrong dear"Granny asked.

Dennis and his sister were amused,my Dad face looked like he's been holding back from insulting her again.

Bea looked up at her confused,she opened her mouth slowly,but couldn't voice it out.

"What happened dear"my mom asked curious.Beauty was shocked and embarrassed

I lean over to her and whispered.

"What happened love?"

"Something is in my wine"she whispered to me, nervously.

"What ..is it?"

I whispered back with a straight trying to hide my amusement.

"I don't know, it's shiny, I almost swallowed it,so i dropped the glass unintentionally, am sorry for the embarrassment"she replied.

Everyone was still staring at us ,consider except my sister who was obviously trying not to crack up.

A maid tried to clean the place up ,I stopped her.

I got up from the seat to pick the expensive diamond ring up,before I lose it,it's too expensive to be careless about.

"What happened ?"Abigail asked Beauty,trying to distract her attention from me.

Beauty leaned over to her trying to explain to her ,how she saw a shiny kbjectbim her drink, then i got to my knees.

"What's he doing "My uncle questioned.Dad just glanced and didn't sat a word.

"Bruno....

My mother gasped shocked.

My cousins took their phone and started recording excitedly,they don't want to miss it,the maids gathered too.The room was hot with mumbling and side talks but that's their own shit.

Beauty's mouth was ajar,her jaw dropped, her eyes grew bigger,she looked all tended up and uncomfortable,it worried me.

I swallowed hard before going on to ask the big question

"I was born on this day 25 years ago,but today I want to be reborn with you,will you please take this journey with me,and be my one and only till death?,please marry me Beauty,I don't care if it's too early when you are ready i am ready,for me am very sure who i needed was you,it all depends on you..

"Enough of the essay, Beauty will you please marry my brother Bruno,just say Yes or no to the idiot"Abigail cuts in.I was still kneeling with the ring

Beauty was sitting there,motionless ."Its a yes Ofcourse,my dancing shoes are on "

Grandma supported.

I looked at Beauty,still waiting.
