After breakfast, Mr.Hutson and Edwin went to the study room for their business talk.

The study room is as royal as different rooms. The front wall carries a big abstract painting while on the right side there is a wooden book cupboard and on the left side, there is a long couch.

Both father and son went to the long couch and sat on it comfortably.

Mr. Hutson looked at his son with a small smile and started the first conversation.

"Your mom is too angry right now!"

"Do you know that?" Mr.Hutson's eyes turned deep while he spoke it up.

"Yeah! I know!" Edwin replied while resting his head on the edge of the couch and looking at the ceiling with heavy stares.

Mr.Hutson sighed.

"Son! Why don't you just go and attend a blind date for your mom? She just wanted to see you settle!" Mr.Hutson looked at him with seriousness.

"Dad!!" Edwin tried to talk back.

"Edwin!" Mr.Hutson cut his words.

"I also want that! I also want to see my son settle. I'm just not in a hurry like your mom! But it doesn't mean you started ignoring marriage conversation!" Mr.Hutson looked at him with meaningful stares while he said those words.

Edwin felt speechless for a second while Mr.Hutson continued.

"Just attend the blind date and If you don't like the girl, just tell your mom!"

"Dad!! I.." Edwin minds thinking about Rebecca.

"Yes, I know you are not interested right now in settling but just don't be too tough!" Mr.Hutson tried to be soft with his son. He knows he couldn't push him more than this.

Edwin didn't want to continue anymore talk about marriage or blind dates so he just nodded and said, "I'll think about it!"

"Great!"

"That's my son!" Mr.Hutson nodded and smiled with a satisfied face.

"Now tell me what things you want to talk about with me!" Mr.Hutson asked him.

Edwin's mind remembered Rebecca's face and he looked at his father with a serious expression.

"Dad, I want to join the company next week!"

Mr. Hutson's eyes filled with a stunned expression.

"Next week?"

"Yes!" Edwin's voice was still calm.

"Did something happen?" Mr.Hutson felt curious to hear sudden changes in his plan.

"No!" Edwin replied.

Mr.Hutson nodded.

"That company is all yours and from next month you are the one who's going to handle it but suddenly you wanted to join from next week? Is there something which I don't know about?"

Mr.Hutson again asked. He is his father and no matter how smart he is! Mr.Hutson could guess there is a reason for his son's action.

Mr.Hutson gets news that Edwin returns from abroad doing half work while he tells his men to handle everything for him just to come back to the city this morning which he never did before.

Not only that he can talk anytime about work joining but after coming back home he first talked about that.

Everything pointed to something suspicious to Mr.Hutson and he wanted to know the truth by his son's mouth.

Edwin looked at Mr.Hutson directly looking at his eyes.

"Dad, I just wanted to lessen your work and handle everything for you! There is nothing behind the thoughts!"

He is his son and already understands his points which didn't make him surprised anymore.

Mr.Hutson smiled and nodded.

"If that's the truth then I'm glad that my son cares for me this much!"

Edwin smiled back.

"If you want, you can join the company tomorrow!" Mr.Hutson felt excited to finally watch his son sitting on his chair as a president.

"No! Dad!"

"I need to settle some business before taking the position and it can take a week!" He explained.

"Alright Then, From next week, you can handle the whole business and I'll enjoy my vacation with my wife!" Mr.Hutson teasingly announced while Edwin shook his head and chuckled.

"You both can enjoy your honeymoon as long as you want!" Edwin teased his father back.

Mr.Hutson couldn't help but laugh to hear his words.

"I think your offer is great! I'll think about it!" Mr.Hutson replied between laughs.

Edwin smirked and nodded.

"As you wish! Dad!"

"That's great!" Mr. Hutson's eyes filled with happiness.

Both of them laughed and had other conversations happily.

"Both of you! Why are you laughing?" Mrs. Hutson's voice comes to their ears.

They both looked in the door direction and saw Mrs.Hutson looking at them with curiosity.

"Mom! We were planning your honeymoon!" Edwin smirked and looked at his father.

Mrs. Hutson's face turned red to hear her son's words and she glared at her husband.

"Honey! What am I hearing?" She tried to look calm but the volcano was about to erupt. They knew very well.

Mr.Hutson stood up from the couch and went to her to make her mood good.

"Wifey, our son wanted to join the office next week!" His words made her forget about past conversations.

"Really!!!" Her voice filled with excitement.

"Yes, mom! Dad is right!" Edwin confirmed it.

Mrs.Hutson's smile turned wide and she went to hug his son.

He stood and walked up to her. He outstretched his arms to hug her back. She kissed him on his cheeks with happiness.

"I'm so happy!" She declared.

"My son is finally going to be president!" There is sweetness in her words.

Edwin smiled to see his mom's reaction.

"Now you should think about settling!" Mrs.Hutson said with a smile.

Edwin looked at his dad with corner eyes and then looked at his mom.

"I'll think about it!" He replied in a slow tone but both of them heard him clearly and smiled at the same time.

"You are ready to take the steps! That's all that matters to us!" Mrs. Hutson's eyes turned tender while there was a warm smile for her son.

She's happy at least he didn't ignore the question like always.
