The night of the same day- during dinner time, Old Master Mo informed everyone of the good news about Xiao Hui agreeing to go to school.

"What? Really?" Mother Mo was the first one to exclaim. "But how?" She questioned.

"All thanks to Xiao Xi," Old Master Mo replied.

Mo Shan was the only one who was not surprised by the news. He knew that Yun Xi would succeed in the mission one day. He just did not expect her to succeed on the first try.

"Mo Shan, you have to investigate some schools. I definitely don't want the past to repeat itself again. Is that clear?" Father Mo said in a stern voice. Mother Mo and Old Master Mo also nodded at his words, they did not want Xiao Hui to be mistreated again. He had finally agreed to go to school again, they did not want any more problems to arise.

"Mmm, I will," came Mo Shan's short reply.

After dinner, he immediately messaged Assistant Zhang to ready the report on each top school. They did not have much time as Christmas was approaching, and also the New Year. Then with the new year, it would be the exact time to admit Xiao Hui into school.

Soon, it was a day before Christmas. The whole Mo Mansion was busy in preparation for Christmas and Ray's one-month birth anniversary. People could be seen going in and out of the Mo Mansion. Among them were the event planners, decoration team, boutique staff, and many more.

Upstairs in a specific room, everyone was trying their clothes to see if they were perfectly fit. In case they were not, the boutique staff was present there to alter the clothes right there. The clothes were a bit unfitting for Yun Xi as she had recently given birth, and her body's size was changing. So, her dress had to be fitted again.

Their dress color was according to the theme of the party, and the theme itself was Christmas. So, the boys were going to wear white, while the girls chose red. Even little Ray was going to wear red for the party.

Christmas Day,

It was the day of Christmas. As every day, Mo Shan brought Ray to her grandparent's room at 5 in the morning. After that, he walked back to his room to get some sleep with his wife in his arms. Around 8, both of them woke up and walked out after freshening up. The scene outside surprised Yun Xi greatly.

Everyone was busy working everywhere, but they were making very little to no sound while doing that. Yun Xi could guess that they were being extra careful as not to wake her from her sleep. When the workers saw Yun Xi and Mo Shan coming, they immediately greeted them and again went back to their work.

Yun Xi was once again surprised when she found Ray in the dining hall, and she was awake over that. Usually, Ray would only be brought out around 10 am since it was still cold at 8 in winter.

"I think even she knows that today is a special day, so she woke up early." Mother Mo told her with a smile. Mo Shan carried his daughter after serving breakfast to Yun Xi. As if recognizing her father's embrace, Ray smiled while raising her hands towards his face. Mo Shan hurriedly tucked her hands again under her blanket, fearing that she could feel cold though she was wearing gloves.

Just as they were starting to eat, a jolly voice came from the door. "Oh, I think I am right on time for breakfast. Then, I won't stand on ceremony." It was none other than Elder Ji. Saying that, he sat directly next to Old Master Mo. At his sight, Old Master Mo's face immediately turned bitter.

"I don't remember inviting you this early," Old Master Mo grudgingly complained.

"Oh, come on Old Mo, do you have to react like this for a small matter? Also, your wife always treats me like her biological brother, so we are a family." Elder Ji gloatingly replied back. He was deliberately sprinkling salt on Old Master Mo's wounds.

On the other hand, Old Master Mo was scolding Elder Ji in his heart for coming this early, just to play with Ray. He was unhappy because of the reason that his playtime with Ray would be cut off by half since Elder Ji was there too.

Just as he was thinking that, Elder Ji's voice sounded again, "Mo Shan, give Ray to me. I have already had breakfast. While you guys do so, I will take care of her."

Hearing his words, Old Master Mo put down his cutlery and said, "Didn't you say that you are just on time for breakfast. And now you are saying you already had one?"

"Old Mo, I think your hearing capacity has decreased with your old age. I said that I am on time to see you people starting breakfast, but I did not say that I haven't had one yet."

He then took Ray and said, "My dearest Ray, only you are good to me now. You even smile for me, not like your old great-grandfather who only knows to fight." Though it looked like he was conversing with Ray, his words were clearly meant for Old Master Mo's ears.

As expected, Old Master Mo burst out in anger after hearing his words. "What are you doing? How can you badmouth me in front of my Ray?"

"Why are you giving such big reactions? Also, what is with your loud voice? You will scare the child," rebutted Elder Ji. He was enjoying this so much.

Old Master Mo wanted to say many more things, but he fell silent fearing that he will scare his great-granddaughter. He then just focused on finishing his breakfast as quickly as possible.

After Elder Ji felt that he had teased Old Master Mo enough, he left the dining hall with Ray. It was noisy in the living area as everyone was preparing for the party. So, he took Ray outside to the pavilion set up in the garden.

He found Xiao Hui already there, playing with the husky he had gifted Ray. Since it was Christmas, Xiao Hui did not have any classes.

"Do you like him, little boy?" Elder Ji asked Xiao Hui.

Xiao Hui greeted him first, then replied, "Yes, Grandpa Ji. I love him, thank you for the gift."

"Mmmm, I can see that you have taken good care of him. He has grown taller and fluffier in just a month." Elder Ji praised him. "And why are you alone here? Did you have breakfast?"

"I did. It's time for Shadow's exercise."

Just as they were sharing pleasant conversation, Old Master Mo arrived there. "You arrived earlier than I thought," Elder Ji remarked, "Do you really have to act like that? Will I steal Ray from you?"

"Hmph, who knows." Old Master Mo humphed and sat next to Elder Ji. That way, he was also close to his great-granddaughter.

As two old men were playing with Ray, Mother Mo also reached there and announced, "It's time for Ray's oil massage." Beside her, a helper was carrying a bag which contained all the essentials for the massage and also a new pair of clothes.

At her announcement, both old men stood up and walked out to play a game of chess.

As soon as Mother Mo got to carry her granddaughter, she first peppered her face with kisses which made Ray smile. "My cutie munchkin, how can you be so cute?" She was talking to Ray as if Ray would reply to her the next second.

After the massage, Old Master Mo carried Ray before Elder Ji could say something. He was not going to lose again. Mother Mo shook her head at their childish nature and went back inside to prepare for the event that night.
