After a while, Yun Xi was the one who broke the silence.

“Hehe, I mean it’s my son’s birthday. How could you not tell me about this? I want to prepare so many things for him since it’s his first birthday with me. And thanks to you, I don’t have much time left now.”

Mo Shan felt a bit guilty after listening to her reasons. He replied, “ You don’t have to worry about it. It’s because he doesn’t like to celebrate his birthday too grandly. So, we just have family dinner on his birthday.”

Yun Xi felt sad for Xiao Hui. Who doesn’t like their birthday celebration? Maybe he is like that because he knows he is not the same as other children, he doesn't have his mother with him.

“But no worries, from now on, Xiao Hui has me”, Yun Xi consoled her.

She then looked at Mo Shan and stated determinedly, “That’s because I was not with him before. But now he has me. So, we have to celebrate his birthday anyhow.”

Mo Shan saw confidence in her eyes, so he agreed with her.

Yun Xi then began planning right away. She murmured, “First, we have to talk to Xiao Hui about this and make him agree. Then, we should invite his friends. Wait does Xiao have friends?”

Mo Shan could hear her, so he answered, “Although he doesn’t go to school, he has some family friends.”

Yun Xi's eyes brightened. Right, family friends.

"By the way, where are your other family members? I mean Xiao Hui's grandpa and grandma", asked Yun Xi.

Mo Shan: "You don't have to worry about them. They will be here for their grandchild. Maybe they are already on the way"

Mo Shan knew his parents too well. They might forget anything in the world, even their son, but they would never forget Xiao Hui's birthday.

Maybe they have already flown here by now.

Yun Xi became worried thinking about his parents. Will they like her? Will they accept her as their daughter-in-law?

Seeing Yun Xi absent-minded, Mo Shan spoke, "Don't worry. My father will like you. As for my mother, she is a hard nut to crack. She has a high expectation for my wife and thinks that only her friend's daughter is fit for the role. But, she would not make things difficult for you on purpose. When she sees the real you, she will instantly accept you."

Yun Xi looked even more worried hearing all those words.

"Moreover you still have me and Xiao Hui as your support, don't you?" These words did console her a bit.

That's right. She still had grandpa, Mo Shan, and Xiao Hui.

Just like Mo Shan guessed, a middle-aged man and a middle-aged woman could be seen descending from a private jet.

They were none other than Mo Shan's father and mother themselves.

Mo Shan's father, Mo Xin Sheng, was donned in a simple t-shirt and half pants like he just returned from vacation.

On the other hand, Mo Shan's mother, WenXi, was dressed in a tuxedo.

Together, they looked like an odd pair.

Everyone was giving them strange looks which made Mother Mo feel awkward. In contrast to her, Father Mo looked like he did not care.

Mother Mo glared at Father Mo and chided him, “Didn’t I tell you to put on some formal clothes? See, everyone is eyeing us strangely.”

Father Mo replied coolly, “How can you blame me? I also told you to wear some informal clothes to match mine, but you did not listen to me. Moreover, I think they are just jealous of my good looks.”

Mother Mo looked at his narcissistic self and humphed, “Hmph, good looks, my foot! Did you even look at the mirror after wearing these clothes?”

“Tsk, wifey, did you forget how obsessed you were with my good looks? You even followed me wherever I went until I accepted your proposal”, teased Father Mo.

Mother Mo blushed at his teasing words and punched his chest lightly. Even after so many years, his flirting skills haven’t decreased a bit.

Father Mo laughed at his wife’s docile expression. Every family in their circle has a misconception about his wife. They think that his wife is very rude and feels sorry for him. But only he and his family knew the inner self of his wife. She is actually very cute and docile, but in front of outsiders, she has to act like a lioness because being weak only invites trouble.

At the thought of his wife facing all the troubles and difficulties throughout her life, Father Mo just could not wait to retire and give all his time and affection only to his wife.

Mother Mo realized that Father Mo was being distracted, so she asked, “What are you thinking?”

Father Mo shook his head and wound his arm around his wife’s waist, and pulled her closer to him. “Nothing, let’s go. Your grandson must be waiting for you.”

Father Mo successfully diverted Wen Xin’s attention from him to his grandson. “Right, will he like the gifts I brought”, Mother Mo asked worriedly.

“Of course, he will like it”, father Mo assured her.

Soon, they arrived in the car park area.

Butler Li was already waiting for them there. When he spotted them coming, he walked forward and greeted them. He then motioned the driver to load their bags into the trunk.

Soon, they were all seated in the car, with Father Mo and Mother Mo in the back seat, Butler Li in the passenger seat, and the driver driving the car.

Mother Mo spoke, “Butler Li, is the girl who married our Mo Shan nice?”

Butler Li was surprised when he heard that because Old Master Mo had ordered him not to inform them about the marriage yet. Old Master Mo wanted to deliver the message himself.

But now since he was already asked the question, he could not act like he did not know about it. So he curtly replied, “Madam, Young Mrs. Mo is a nice girl. Moreover, both Young Master and Little Master like her, and Old Master is also fond of her.”

“Really? Is she that nice? Let me see for myself”, said Mother Mo.

It was not that she was against Mo Shan’s marriage, but she didn’t want her son’s wife to just be any girl. Many girls were vying for that position and almost every one of them just wanted the power that came with the position. So, she had to check the girl by herself.
