Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Reign cupped my cheeks as he was holding a gun. Our body was wet, and he gently sat on the ground while carrying me in his arms, making my body lying on his lap.

“I’m sorry.”

Reign said while sticking our wet forehead together. I did answer because my body is weak, and I want to recover my fallen energy. He hugged me tight, making me facing his neck.

“I almost come late. Thank God,” he then kissed my forehead as he caressed my hair.

“How did you find me?” Reign stared at me with worried eyes.

“I tracked your phone,” he then caresses my cheeks, “Thank you for calling.”

I no longer spoke, closing my eyes while in his arms. My body weakened. All I want to do right now is fall into Reign’s arms. I feel safe and secured. He gave me this feeling that I can rest my mind because he was there, guarding me.

“I’m sorry,” Reign put something on the ground, and I felt his other hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

“Look at you. There are a lot of bruises on your body. It’s my fault. I’m sorry, my love.”

“No, it’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself over this, Reign,” I muttered without opening my eyes. Every time I move an inch, my body was in pain. I want to scream this out, but I have no enough energy to do so.

Suddenly, there was silence between the two of us. I could hear each other’s heavy breaths. I want to open up on something, but I don’t how to start. Keeping my eyes closed, Reign’s heart was skipping its beat. I felt his chest move and followed by his following words.

“That day, I never thought that your parents were caught on the dispute between our clan’s enemy,” I did not speak and kept my ears open to him. This is probably the right time for me to listen to Reign’s confession. He was caressing my hair gently.

“I only found out about it three years ago when I send Blaze to investigate about you.”

“Investigate?” I asked in a soft voice.

“Yes. I’ve been in love with you in secret for three years. I first saw you at Gab’s Bar when I just got home from Russia. I was already captivated by your charms since then. I was afraid to make a move because I don’t want to involve you in my life. It’s a mess. I planned to end everything first before I can get near you, but you know,” Reign cupped my cheeks, and I heard his chuckles as he continues, “I can’t take it. I can’t wait anymore, so I did those stupid ideas on abducting you.”

“And make it like you brought me in the auction?”

“No. We’ve been ambushed by Gau Clan the day you think that you’ve been abducted. I did not mean it to look like a kidnapping, but you struggled. You are taken away from me. I was pissed and dyspeptic when they brought you to the auction hall.”

“That’s the reason why you did not mind spending a hundred of billion just to redeem me?”

“Yes. That’s the reason because I want to rescue you out of that messed place. I can give up everything for you. Hundreds of billion don’t mean anything to me.”

I opened my eyes and stared at Reign. His blue eyes met mine, giving me butterflies in my stomach. I love how he looks at me with affection, “I thought you just saw me as freshly maria and an item back then.”

He shrugged, “No. I just love you that I couldn’t countenance the thought of you being touched by someone.”

We stared at each other. It’d a while before Reign speak again without averting his blue eyes away from me. He was giving me tender by his looks and warmth on his arms. I want us to stay like this forever.

“When Blaze gave me the results of the investigation three years ago, I was shocked and tried to forget about you. But Ruchee,” his blue eyes were softened as he looked at me, “I can’t resist your charms. It’s also my fault. I said to myself that I need to stop forgetting about you, but I can’t help attending Gab’s Bar while you are there, working and serving another man. I want to gauge their eyes out from their faces. It makes me sick about how other men look at you.”

“I never meant to kill and involve your parents that day. They were innocent that were caught by our reckless conflict. I want to atone everything. If you want to loathe me, I will accept it. It’s my f--”

I kissed Reign, making him stop. His blue eyes widened, and he was surprised about my sudden movements, “Don’t blame yourself. No one’s at fault,” I said when I take my lips away from him, caressing his cheeks. Reign held my hand that was place on his face and looked at me tenderly.

“I’m sorry if I hide this from you. I’m just scared, Ruchee. I’m not planning to keep this. My mind was overflowing with what-ifs and the thoughts that you might despise me.”

“But you should have said it in the first place, Reign. In that way, I should have accepted it sooner, but everything is alright now. I don’t want us looking back on our past. Okay?” I reached for his cheeks and caresses them. Reign brought his face closer to mine. He was about to kiss me when I speak.

“What happened to Sharmon?” my question made him look in the other way, “Did you kill her?” Reign immediately shrugged his head, making me feel relief.

“No. I just shot Sharmon on the shoulder.”

I promised Shino that I will do my best to help Sharmon even if she’s too wicked to handle. I smiled at Reign, “Thank you.”

“For what?”

“For not killing Sharmon.”

“I’m planning to, you know, but I didn’t hit her on the crucial part. She can still change, but the next time she’ll lay her hands on you, I won’t let her live.”

“I love you.”

Reign stared at me with amusement on his face, but he recovered and brought his face closer to mine. He gives me the sweetest smile, “I love you more than you know.”

Flashing a smile, Reign’s lips brush into mine. We kissed full of love. I already accepted him, our past, and now we will face our future without any hindrance.
