“How did you know about this place?” I asked Reign with amusement as I was cutting the beefsteak on my plate. He just smiled, and he fills his mouth while looking at me. I just shrugged my head. He’s been staring since we seated at this table.

“It’s a recommendation from Gab. I rent the whole place so that we can have our privacy. Did you like it?”

My jaw dropped because of how he casually said rent, but I just nodded while casting out that shocked expression of mine, “Yes. I love it. I did not expect that this place existed.”

“I should give Gab a pat on the head.”

“Why?”

“Because you liked the place.”

We’ve talked about a lot of things while spending dinner alone together. I asked Reign about what I was curious about, but there’s one thing I can’t spill out of my mouth. I promised that once we’ve been together again, I will ask him, but it’s not yet the time.

I don’t want to ruin this night. This is very special to me. It’s our first date outside the island. After we have finished our dinner, we decide to have a drink.

“Is it okay to drink?” I asked when I remembered the last time. I wasn’t drunk that time, but Reign is. When I stared at him, he was blushing. Why?

“Yes. You can. We are together, so you’re allowed to drink.”

“Thank you.”

We clanked our glasses before taking a sip on them. I don’t know what kind of expression I was making when the taste of cenote tequila run through my throat. Its aroma was astonishing, but it tastes like pepper!

“Haha.”

With surprise on my face, I turned my gaze at Reign as I put the glass down to the table. He was sipping on his drink while his eye was staring at me, and lips were smiling. He’s so damn gorgeous.

“I can’t believe that we are lovers.”

“Why?” Reign asked and then put down the glass on the table. I smiled and placed my elbows on the table while staring into his blue eyes.

“Well, let me rephrase it. I can’t believe that you are in love with someone like me.”

Reign’s right brow raised, and he looked at me with piercing eyes. With his expression, he wasn’t pleased about my remarks, and it made me nervous.

“Why can’t you believe it? Is something wrong falling in love with you when you have all the charms the reason men will be in pursuit of your love?” I shut my mouth and secretly bit my lower lips. Reign’s words overwhelmed me. How can he affect me with that?

“I di--”

“You are gorgeous,” Reign said with a soft voice and reached for my hands while, “You are too much appealing on my eyes. My woman is full of glamour,” he then brought my hands on his face and kissed the backside of it giving electricity to my body.

He was kinda excitingly attractive.

“So don’t question yourself why someone like me falls in love with you. Try to believe that you are eligible for my love. You are my invaluable lucrative that no one can match.”

I was stunned by his cheesy words and left nothing but just give Reign a genuine smile. I don’t know why but all of a sudden, I got up from my seat and approached him without withdrawing my hand from his grip.

He was astonished about what I’m planning to do. Even I was startled when I suddenly sat on his lap, wrapping my arms around his nape and stick our foreheads together. Reign was a bit surprised, but he changed his expression at no time.

Reign also wraps his arms from the back of my waist, pulling me closer.

“Uh, this position is awkward.”

I said as I bit my lower lips, looking at Reign. He chuckles.

“Who’s the first to think with this position, huh?” I grinned and take my face closer to him until our nose touches.

“It’s mine,” without any words, this time, I’m the one who claimed Reign’s lips. There was a shock on his face because of what I did, but he immediately recovered and responded to the kisses I gave him.

I don’t know, but I know no one will see us like this since he said earlier that it’s private and he rented all the places. This billionaire, relentless in releasing money!

Our kisses become deeper. Reign’s hands roamed from my waist, hips, and to my bottom. He suddenly pinches my butt cheeks, making me feel something between our kisses.

‘Our tongues were fighting with each other’ with these thoughts, I felt the arising warmth, and I know Reign too. His hands stopped on my butt, gently squeezing it as we kissed with hunger. Since I was sitting on his lap with my legs on both sides, I felt his erect manhood.

When Reign felt what’s going on in between his legs. He pulled the kiss away, and both of us were catching breath as our foreheads stuck together, staring at each other with full of affection.

“We should stop before I can’t control myself,” Reign muttered as he touches my cheeks and takes a peck on my lips.

I smiled, “Thank you,” I give him a kiss on his nose that made him smiled. He hugs me for a while.

“I’ll just go get something,” he said. I adjusted myself, and he helps me out from his lap.

“Where are you going?”

“It’s a secret. I’ll be back,” Reign kissed my forehead, “I love you.”

I didn’t have time to respond to him since he quickly rushes out of my sight. I sighed and facepalmed. It’s a good thing that Reigned still has control over himself. If it’s not the case, then he may be already claimed me earlier. I wanted that to happen. Damn! Watch your mind, Ruchee.

I looked at the table when suddenly there was a sound from it. I saw a phone glowing and making a vibration. I stared at it while there’s an unlisted number flashing on the screen.

Taking my steps closer to the phone’s side, I was curious. I do not know. I shouldn’t have interfered with Reign’s things, but I saw myself holding the phone and immediately opened the message because there was no other security set-up.

There are the instincts that I shouldn’t read what’s inside the message, but curiosity swallowed me. I don’t know who the sender is, but it threatened Reign, and I was stunned at the next vibration; another message was received, and it turned my world upside down.

‘Leave her, Reign. Or else, I will tell that woman the truth! Why her parents died and her abduction the day she was brought to the auction. You did all that. It’s your fault!’

My hands had a tremor, but I immediately scrolled through the sent messages and read it even if I’m not prepared.

‘Leave me alone, Sharmon. I let you go that time on the island. Please, stop pestering my life. Yes. It’s all my fault, but don’t you dare tell Ruchee everything about it, or I will find and end your life with my own hands.’

My whole body was trembling because of ambiguous feelings. I want to put the phone back on the table and think I did not read anything but can’t. My grip on the phone tightened as my chest was throbbing furiously, and I was in pain. Tears were building on the side of my eyes.

“Ruchee?” I turned quickly. I saw Reign holding a bouquet of red flowers, and I could see the shock on his face as he looked at my hands holding a phone.

Reign suddenly let go of the flower he was holding and quickly approached me; imprisoned me in his warm arms, but I pushed him with all my might.

“Is it true?” I asked, my voice was trembling as I suppressed my tears to fall down, “Answer me.”

Reign’s blue eyes stared at me, and it was full of pain. I softened, but I restrained myself. I need to know the truth from him. Even it breaks because it hurts too much, I need to hear from his mouth.

“Yes. What you have read was true.” Reign said, making my tears fall down. Even though I hadn’t uttered what I wanted to know, he had already answered. Reign takes a step closer to me, but I motioned him to stop.

“Don’t come near me.”

I said as I aggressively put his phone down on the table. Reign retake a step.

“I SAID DON’T!” I shouted, making him stunned.

“I don’t want to see your face ever again! I hate you!” after I said those words, I ran away from him. Out from that place as my eyes were shedding tears because of chest pain. It’s not a disease, but it’s because the truth makes me sick.
