Chapter 22: Chapter 22

When they removed the strap from my eye, we were in an area surrounded by white. When I roamed my eyes, I was inside a cabin. I remembered earlier that Reign said ‘Yacht.’

This is the first time I’ve ever ridden this kind of ship, but somehow I know something about it because I love to read. Sometimes I reach out about different types of vehicles and boats, so it’s not new to me since I’m also riding thru virtual.

I looked ahead and saw the door closed. The sidewall is made of glass but only in a limited length. It’s just a mini glass window or was called a hatch.

I sigh because of frustration. I sat up in bed because I no longer knew what to do with what was happening right now. I thought I’d figure out how to get out of Reign’s place.

But they covered my eyes as we went out of his house. I can’t find the timing to remove the blindfold because  Reign’s men were left and right watching my movements. I am really like a prisoner!

I looked at what I was wearing and became even more depressed. Crie made me a flashy dress. It was a long sleeves contrast with a plunging V-neck featuring allover illusion beadwork embroidered in stars and streams of light. Long tassels hang from the skirt, sleeves, and back for a shine effect.

Honestly, it’s beautiful, attractive, and one of a kind. Crie was really a talented and skilled tailor. He finished it in just six hours, and no simple designer can do this within that period.

I admire Crie’s skills, but I am not used to this, especially since the delicate part of my body seems to be visible to everyone’s eyes.

I lay my body down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. After a second, I tilted my body to the right because my mind is restless. I put both of my hands on my face and breathe out on them.

I got up and walked back and forth inside the cabin. I was wearing white mid-heel sandals, and each step I take makes sounds, but I don’t care.

I’m probably the only one here. I can’t hear anyone else, and I don’t know where Reign’s men went because I was blindfolded when I got on this yacht. This is a yacht; I’m sure that I’m on the sea.

I can escape, but actually, I do not know how to swim. Even if I struggle my way out of here, I think I still can’t since the door was closed. I don’t know if it’s locked, but I don’t want to try, and I might be disappointed.

I’m sure Reign told his men to locked me before leaving. I don’t really know why. Is it a coincidence that Reign was there in the auction? or is it because I was there?

I faintly laughed at the silly thought. Ruchee, your brain is too stupid for you to think such a thing!

I will just wait when I am given time to escape because I’m sure there’s really time for it. I stopped what I was doing when I heard the opening of the door.

I turned my attention to it. It was Reign. He was wearing a suit that has the same color as mine. I think it was hand-tailored by Crie.

The suit was white with something blue. It was sharp-looking and well-fitted. Precisely the sort of thing that will catch a woman’s eyes. It fits well that made him look very handsome.

I suddenly shrugged my head when I felt a little nervous. What the hell was I thinking?

When Reign looked in my direction, our eyes met. I want to remove and look in the other order, but I feel like they are stuck in him and don’t want to move anymore.

My chest throbbed as he suddenly walked closer to me. He doesn’t take his gaze away from my eyes. I couldn’t even stare directly at his blue and burning eyes. I want to turn my eyes in another direction, but why I can’t?

My nervousness and throbbing intensified when I saw Reign standing in front of me. He was looking earnestly at me and suddenly rolled his eyes from my head down to my feet.

Then he returned his gaze to my face. Suddenly my throat went dry as if there was iron stuck in it. I almost fell over. My body trembled as Reign suddenly smiled. It was a sweet smile.

“You look stunning in that transparent dress, Ruchee,” his baritone voice filled my ears. I felt all my flesh shake when he suddenly brought his face closer to mine. It was like a mile away for our lips to touch each other.

I held my breath as I stared at his blue eyes closely. It seemed to blink while staring at me. I don’t know, but his eyes are smiling along with his lips, from what I can see.

“What an alluring and beautiful eye,” I immediately covered my lips with my palm when those words suddenly came out of my mouth. When I stared at Reign’s reaction, he was also shocked.

I saw how his mouth opened and was about to spit words when the intercom behind us suddenly rang, and someone spoke.

“Boss, we are going to sail,” a strong voice said. Reign just closed his eyes and immediately left in front of me.

I breathed a sigh of relief. What the hell was that position? I can still feel my body shivering. I don’t know why Reign had such an effect on me.

“Okay then. Make sure that the coast is clear, and everything is safe,” Reign said in front of the intercom that was placed on the side of the door.

“Copy boss,” the man on the other line said, and after that, Reign turned his back again on me. I thought he would approach me, but he just remained standing in front of the door while his eyes were on me.

“Stay here. I’ll go to the cockpit. The party was held ten miles away from our location. Don’t do silly things while you’re inside the cabin. There’s an analog placed in the corners of this room, so I’ll be watching you,” Reign said. I was about to say something, but he just walked out of the door.

When Reign left, I sat on the floor of the yacht. I wanted to ask about the party he was talking about. But he was already gone by the time I blinked my eyes.

What kind of party are we going to and will it be held in the middle of the sea? I blew out an air to compose myself.

I got up and immediately went to bed. I sat down at the edge of the bed and removed my mid heels. Then lay down. I’ll just take a nap first because it’s still a long way before we get to the party’s venue.

Even though I didn’t really know anything about this said part, I had no choice but to come and join Reign. I was imprisoned, and for me to survive, I need to follow his orders.

I know Reign was ruthless, and he won’t let anyone off the hook. Even if it’s someone close to him. He even attacked his own cousin on the last day. So I’m a bit scared to make silly things right now.

I looked to the side of the wall and saw the analog flashing red. I stared at it and immediately stuck out my tongue and widened my eyes, then I turned away from it.

A few minutes passed after I lay down. My mind was really restless, so I opened my eyes. I want to take a nap, but I can’t.

I closed my eyes that maybe, drowsiness will visit me. Even though I hadn’t been able to close my eyes for a long time, my bed suddenly grinds.

I immediately got up and got off the bed while barefoot. Suddenly my position tilted again, but now the whole yacht is moving side to side.

Fortunately, I perfectly balanced my body. I tried to walk to the door to get out of the cabin. Whatever is happening, I feel like the yacht is sinking, but there’s no water coming in. By chance, I don’t know how to swim.

When I reached the door, the yacht stopped grinding. I grabbed the doorknob and was about to open it, but I heard a gunshot.
